I really appreciated working with Lynn because in addition, to a very good sense of style and a very pleasant and fun demeanor, she is very easy to work with. I had developed a very good idea of my preferences and really needed someone to double check my choices and offer advice on the best way to solve my problems. As I told her, I preferred to make my own purchases- I am a bargain hunter and found lots of great options online, on clearance, and got some great values. While Lynn does take on traditional commission based jobs, she was flexible and was available on an hourly basis as well. I paid her by the hour, which was important for me. Other designers I looked at were very focused on selling furniture, etc as part of their services, and getting a commission, and I didn't want that. I have the ability to find a good price on high quality items myself, and I preferred to pay for her time and get her research, advice and counsel on options and buy my own stuff, rather than purchase high priced furniture, wallpaper etc. through a designer. Lynn completely understood this, and didn't pressure me to do otherwise. If I wanted her to buy anything, or keep an eye out for something in particular, she would do that, and she got me some great fabrics and awesome wallpaper through her design books, etc. She made great suggestions, and gave me approval or counseled me against my choices as appropriate- and everything has turned out great. The paint colors are awesome- we painted 2/3rds of our home, and if it had been a bad color, that would have been a big mistake. I had great peace of mind that my choices were sound when I worked with Lynn. It was exactly the kind of help I needed, and without any pressure to buy anything. It was a perfect experience, and I plan to work with her again.
