We kept trying to arrange a date for the work to be done.  Communication was slow and he repeatedly rescheduled which eventually got old and we gave up.  Thankfully, Angie's List refunded our money.

They mostly do medium sized residential projects, but I think they do small things too. I am really kicky, I know what I want. They have been in the business for a long time. It is a family owned business. Everybody is honest and they are meticulous about what they do. They are very receptive to working with exactly what you want. I have never had a problem with them ever. Throughout the project, I kept changing my mind, but as the project grew and they did a wonderful job, they were adaptable. They do take a lot of pride in their work.

Never provided references. Came highly recommended from one designer, so we trusted that information. Paul Lappas was supposed to do the job and never did. We had to hear from another party that he wasn't able to do the work. Set us back months in planning.

Paul is a wonderful contractor. He is sweet to deal with, as is his crew, but tough as nails with the sub-contractors. Before they gutted the kitchen they moved my refrigerator and all its contents into my basement, as well as one of the old cabinets and the old microwave so I could set up a temporary kitchen in the basement. I never expected that and it made life a lot easier. He stuck to his initial quote even though I upgraded some materials--for instance when he insisted I get hard wood instead of bamboo floors because they would look better, and did not charge me anything extra for getting them. When one of the cabinets had a slight scratch on it (that honestly I don't know if I would have noticed) he made them send another one. Yes, there were delays, but I think that's inevitable and they were not that bad. The quality of the work is beyond reproach. I just can't say enough good about him. I am surprised there are no other reviews of him. I have referred everyone I know to him. Last, remarkable thing to note. Months after the job was done I called to say that the refrigerator handle- which was a cabinet-front on a sub zero, had gotten scratched. I called the kitchen designer just to get advice on how to paint it or replace it. Paul came out himself with a brand new hadle, took off the custom door, installed the new handle and put the door back on. I never could have done it myself. He did not charge me for either the handle or the labor. I still call him from time to time and he takes the time to come to the house and see what's wrong and give me advice. (These are problems caused by external issues, not due to flaws in the kitchen remodel). Love him!
