FERNWOOD ESTATE SALES

Can not say enough good things for Ann Garagusi and Fernwood. Came in, promoted the estate sale and in the space of 5 days, sold furniture, furnishings and household items, found donations for non-salables, managed a last minute HVAC service issue and completely cleared out the remainder of the house in time prior to closing, and all while we were 1,000 miles away in our new home. Don't know how we could have completed the sale so completely and efficiently without Fernwood.

Conduct an estate sale. It was well organized, the response was good, and they sold a lot of "stuff" that the family could no longer use. They went above and beyond the customary duties to assist us. I would highly recommend them.

The cost of the service could not be counted in dollars as it is taken as percentage of the sales. We found Fernwood Estate Sales to be competitive with other agents in the area. We chose to go with them because they were happy to come to the house, talk to us, and look at what would most likely be included. In fact, they met with us when we were still deciding, met with us again shortly before we were ready for the sale, and then conducted the sale. Ann is very cautious and emphasizes that every sale is different and warns not to expect a lot. That being said, the sale netted as much if not more than we hoped for and all of the items we hoped would be sold were sold. I was pleasantly surprised. My only complaint is that we were not, initially, given any pricing beforehand. I had to push for some indication of how things would be priced, which was provided the day before the sale. I had not wanted or needed an entire inventory of pricing, just some examples for the larger pieces. When provided the pricing was in line with what I felt was fair and so my concerns were laid to rest. They were professional, competent, and dealt with all aspects of disposing of the household and personal items.
