Chevy Chase Acura

They do a good job, but they cost a lot of money. They are very good. They are punctual. They are timely. They will call you. They follow through. They re very professional. They should be what they cost you pay. They do their own customer service survey when you go there. They are into their own customer service. I had to have additional things done. They always find additional stuff. I would use them again. They do a good job on my car, and they know my car. I was wondering what in the world did they do. They even gave me an discount that knocked it down to a $1000. They do what they say they are going to do, and they are very responsive.

Also known as Chevy Chase Acura, this review is for Chevy Chase Auto's body shop. Absolutely the worst. You may think that you got a nice job (especially since your insurance company recommended them, and since they sell Acuras). But you don't know what's underneath what they did because you aren't a body shop person. My car was there three years ago after the left side got side swiped. It was there four years ago for bumper work after it was rear-ended. Last year, I had small damage to the edge of the rear bumper, and the other driver's insurance company's body shop didn't want to repair it because they said the entire bumper would have to be repainted because Chevy Chase Auto did not paint it the right color. So, I had to go back to Chevy Chase Auto, my insurance company said, and body shop manager was rude and condescending to me - even though it wasn't me who refused to fix the bumper because of their poor job. It was the other body shop refusing. Because my insurance company wouldn't force them to re-do the bumper, I switched insurance companies and decided I'll never go back to Chevy Chase Auto. Fast forward to recently -- someone hit the front fender well while the car was parked (hit-and-run). The body shop I went to did a nice job on the fender, but noticed that the stripe on the door wasn't done correctly - apparently Chevy Chase simply painted over it, rather than replacing it. So the clear coat was peeling. This would cost me over $700 for the door repair. Luckily, the old insurance company sent out an adjustor to look, and he agreed that it wasn't done properly by Chevy Chase Auto. So, the insurance company paid for it. But I'm not done yet! When the new body shop was prepping the car, they saw that the entire door wasn't prepped correctly before. So the paint wasn't going to adhere correctly. They would have to re-do the entire door, not just the stripe. Apparently, they told me, someone at Chevy Chase Auto was in a hurry to get the job done and didn't prep the car correctly. So -- Chevy Chase Auto does a shoddy job, plus they are rude.

They did excellent work and had good customer service.

I brought the car into Chevy Chase Acura due to a recall notice on airbags.  At the same time, I asked to have some maintenance items taken care of (oil, tires rotated, as part of management special) and overview of the car.  When I picked up the car, they didn't know anything about the managers special, which was advertised on their website, but I didn't bring in proof of it and now I don't see it, so maybe it had already expired.
Anyway, the price for what they did was good and they very thoroughly went over my car and marked a few items in yellow, some in red, and gave estimates for repairing each of them.  They were very pleasant, the car was ready at the time I requested, and they provided soft drinks and coffee in their clean waiting room while the washed and vacuumed car was brought around.

Service went very well, except for the length of time to obtain the replacement parts. (almost 1 week)

They told me many things were wrong with the car including that I needed new bushings on my power steering because they were broken and were a hazard. They said it would be over $700 to do it. I didn't want to spend the $2,000 that they were charging me for the additional services. I then took the car to an independent service provider they looked at it and said that there was nothing wrong with the bushings and that they weren't broken. Now how many of the other things that they said were wrong weren't wrong at all.
I'll never go back there because I don't trust them. Beware!

Prompt, professional and problems fixed on the first visit. Chris Toronto, one of their service managers, is attentive, fair, and responsive.

They did a very good job, and I think the intake was quick, the job was well done, and it didn't take that long. I have nothing bad to say. I will use them in the future.

I've used this Acura dealership many times, even though another acura dearlership is closer. Chevy chase gives you an upfront cost and answer to your questions. They don't try to sell me things that I don't need either, unlike another acura dealership in NOVA

The service department was courteous. We were given a loaner car. They had someone carry my daughter's car seat from one car to the other. We were in and out in like 15 mins. The accessories look great on the car

They do a good job. They are not the cheapest.

I get my car serviced at Chevy Chase Acura. I came to know about them as I bought my car there. The last time I used their services was a couple of weeks ago. What I like about them is that they are phenomenal. They are really great. They provide you with a good service. They are very honest. They fix your car promptly. I have never been troubled getting in to get an appointment. The people there are very very informative, so you do not just get your car serviced but they go over the details and so I really like going there.
