Case had the porch door replaced and provided carpentry work on water damages at places of the wood around the door. The repair was done well and efficiently.

They are consistent. They always had the same person available to work with us through all aspects of it. They worked with us on floors, cabinets and appliances. They responded very well if something was a miss. I think they were more costly then other companies. They were here on time.

This review is for Case Design's craftsmanship, only. (SEE SECOND PARAGRAPH) The skilled craftsman in the Fred division, Jorge, did a superb job in renovating the two bathrooms with which I could not be happier. There was great attention to detail and design, and the porcelain tiling was outstanding. I was informed all along the way of what was being worked on and choices I could make. Jorge provided useful ideas about design and efficiently worked through issues and problems as they, inevitably, came up. The craftsman was very professional, responsive, and easy to work with. He arrived on time every day and sometimes worked late to finish parts of the job and to stay on track with the project time frame. Although the project was pricey, I got what I paid for. My experience with the project consultation aspect of the job, which included planning and materials selection and ordering, was different. There were missteps throughout the process: a tub and 2 sinks that were the wrong size, thresholds made out of an inappropriate material, tile for one bathroom not included in the original tile order, incorrect measurements for the mirrors which then required replacement, errors on the final billing that necessitated 3 meetings to review, and a series of appointments that were cancelled at the last minute. As a result, the overall length of the project was extended by more than 2 weeks. The communication and follow through by the project consultant was not at the level I needed and expected. I would use this company again but would be careful about what personnel are being assigned to the job.

Awful. Their original quote was higher than all the others and then they came back with a quote 3 TIMES HIGHER than that. Waste of my time and grossly overpriced.

TJ and Colleen, project manager & design team, were professional from the start. They were able to incorporate material I insisted on (Jerusalem stone) and later a difficult to find material (fossil limestone) into the design. They were friendly, positive, and responsive. They made it easy for me by taking my ideas and taking over the work where I didn't want to be involved. They quickly understood my design feel and came up with appropriate accessories. They also came up with ideas to replace bathroom and kitchen hardware that needed to be upgraded in other parts of the house (or installed things I bought). They got me a great price on an upscale pendant lamp I wanted, and then installed it. The team was able to work around my crazy schedule. The work was done on schedule (although the extra projects were a lower priority and took a little extra time at the end.) They were punctual and kept the place clean.

Case requested that I review them here. So here is my review: My recommendation is that you use anyone but them or do it yourself (even if you have no skills in the area)!
I will NEVER use them again and I have used them for many years. They have in the past done a wide variety of projects for me from crown molding to planter boxes. But I will not let them near my house or any of friends or families homes again. They told me that the work would take about 5 days. It took them over 4 months, 2 carpenters and 1 plumber to complete. The project managers are slimy sales people who will promise ANYTHING even if it can't be done. I am an adult woman and the project managers continually talked down to me as if I was a 1st grader! The 1st carpenter installed the shower pan without using a level so after he installed the walls and the doors nothing was plumb or level and the doors would not slide open. So it had to come out. He also left a small fist size hole in my wall just below the shower head and above the fiberglass wall (I guess the idea was that the pipes needed air or he was hoping that I would get mold to grow between the walls so to further aggravate my allergies). My cousin, in another state, who is a carpenter was outraged when he heard this story as using a level should have been an obvious part of the job (besides if the carpenter had asked me, I have a 2 foot level in my house that he could have used). The project manager was trying to tell my senior citizen (her words not mine) mother that the carpenter did not leave a hole in the wall but luckily I had taken a photo of the wall and sent it to him and my mother so he was forced to admit that the carpenter left the hole. The 2nd carpenter did a good job but was a master carpenter and already booked so he had to work weekends on my job. After the first set of walls had to come out, a new set was ordered but they arrived with a crack. So a third set was ordered and installed. I also ended up spending $1400 on a medicine cabinet without being given options for a less expensive option. They didn't bother putting insulation between the medicine cabinet and the exterior wall so I will have to keep the door open to prevent the items in the cabinet from freezing (FUN - NOT). The plumber did something so now I only get warmish water anywhere in my house when before I used to get nice hot water. So now I am calling CroppMetcalf to have one of their plumbers come out to see if he can get me hot water again.
I hope that you who are reading this will understand that I was not going to review them here (I already wrote a similar review on Yelp) but the specifically came to me earlier this week and requested even though I had told the head of the division that I wanted: 1) to get confirmation that they received all of the payments and 2) for them to shred my files since I would NEVER EVER use them again. My senior citizen mother told them to do the same thing with her records. My only piece of advice is DO NOT use them for any work.
If you have accidently already hired them, watch them very carefully, don't pay them in full until you are ABSOLUTELY positive that the work is completed / correct, ASK LOTS of questions and try to be there the ENTIRE time that they are working so you can check on them frequently. If you don't do all of those things, they will try to get away with anything that they can and charge you a lot for it.
