Title Companies
Firstly, on the day of closing, they held my husband hostage until our checks cleared. There were natural delays from the mortgage company and our agent indicated that signing would be enough. In a move that our agent had never seen in her decades-long career, the title company held my husband hostage until the funds were actually transferred. Our agent said this NEVER happens. Then, three months later, we come to discover that Brennan NEVER transferred the deed of trust. In other words, after signing all of the papers and giving them all of our money, the home was still not in our ownership. WHO DOES THIS? There are several other title companies out there and this one is awful. Stay away.
