BIG TRUCK MOVERS

We just used Big Truck Movers to move from a one bedroom apartment to a condo and our experience was excellent. Rafael and his team were very professional and courteous in all aspects of the job. Everything was packed very carefully and unloaded with care. Nothing was damaged in the move. They also put all furniture and boxes in their proper rooms, following our direction. We would definitely use them again.

Rafael arrived on time and his guys packed up my stuff and moved me faster then I could keep up. Whenever I would look up it seemed like he and his guys had taken apart rooms. They did such a great job. When we arrived at the new house they unloaded just as fast, put together beds, etc. I would use them again for sure!

They arrived when they said they would and did as I requested. I'm very happy with how it went.

Rafael and his crew performed an excellent, professional, expedient job for a very reasonable price. We would highly recommend them and plan to use them again.

Big Truck Movers is incredible! I've used other moving companies in the past and never had an experience so pleasant as with these guys! They are a small, individually owned company that puts the customer first. Their professionalism, efficiency, skill, knowledge, friendliness, carefullness, and attention to detail far surpassed any company I've used in the past. And their price was half of what the big companies charge! (And service is much better!) We had a few difficult pieces of furniture to move (a large dual-reclining sofa and two very tall, heavy wardrobes) and I was impressed at how easily they managed to move them, even when having to go up/down narrow staircases and through narrow doorways. Not only are the movers incredibly strong, but they moved each piece without a scratch to the floor, the furniture, or a doorway. The first time we moved with them the ground was wet and muddy and the movers carefully stepped on the stepping stones when moving furniture around to the back door to avoid getting muddy. They also stopped to wipe their feet on the door mat each time they entered the house. With heavy furniture in their arms!!! I was prepared to clean the floors after the move given the weather; I would never have asked or expected them to avoid the mud, but that is just one example of them caring about the customer and paying attention to details! In addition to moving the furniture in, they helped to re-assemble beds, bookcases, etc. and didn't lose one tiny piece of hardware that went to any of the funiture or legs that were dissassembled. I can't say enough good things about them. They were referred to me by a friend who has used them a number of times and I would refer them to anyone looking for a moving company. Although they only charged $520 for about 4 hours, we gave a generous tip because they were so good!

He charged reasonably. He has moved me four or five times. He would come when I wanted. He was nice. He was reasonable, and adaptable. The overall experience was excellent. He is very accommodating to me. He was reliable and came on time when I needed to move, even though he was sick. He would do what you needed to do. It was a small business. He was very responsive. He was as punctual as he could be. He would fit me in when he could.

The crew worked quickly, carefully, and efficiently to pack and move a huge amount of stuff -- but only one item out of thousands got damaged (an inexpensive, quite common torchiere-style lamp), and nothing got left behind or went missing. Best of all, they made sure the beds and other large pieces of furniture were reassembled and usable on the first night in the new place --a fantastic treat for anyone who's ever moved house!

Mr Chapeton and his crew at Big Truck Movers are truly thorough, conscientious, and very hard-working -- and worth every penny. Even though I later found that other small, owner-operated movers charge a lower rate than Big Truck charged me, I simply cannot fault them for this because of the superb job they did -- they agreed to my complicated 2-house-into-1 moving scheme with very little advance notice, they worked as hard and as carefully as if it were their own stuff they were handling, and they worked long beyond what they'd expected that day. You might be able to find a somewhat cheaper mover for local/regional hauls in the DC area, but you will not be able to find anyone who does a better job! It was a first-rate experience for me in every regard.
