Apple Store

At first I went to the store in Townsend, and they couldn't fix my issue. When I went to the Bethesda store, the guy there was able to get everything up and running, and was able to recover everything for me.

I am confident in saying that I have NEVER been treated with such condescension as I was today by Store Manager Sam and the supposed “tech” guy at the Bethesda Apple Store.  (What was only confirmed to me later was that Apple employees are educated in sales, ot technology.)
Long story short, my iPad2 had a problem which was clearly aused by the latest IOS upgrade – SIM worked before the upgrade, stopped orking after the upgrade.  Hardware was ested.  New SIM cards inserted.  Full re-sets done.  Despite the pages of other complaints found n Apple.com support and forum pages, I was told with great distain that it was ll just “Your perception” of the problem – it was probably already there efore, I just hadn’t notice it until after the upgrade.  (They couldn’t really explain how one would ail to notice failure to connect to a cellular network....)  They then proceeded to tell me it was the ntenna, because of a slight dent in the upper right corner.  Problem with that is (1) It was working fine before the upgrade, even with the dent; nd (2) if it was the antenna, the iPad would still register there was a SIM ard installed, but it would not be able to connect to a network.  I was left to feel like a blithering, clueless diot who lived in a world of her own “perception”.  It was only after I talked to a real tech erson that I realized it was not I who was the blithering idiot, but the two pple employees who made me feel like one.
My recommendation:  buy anything but Apple.  But if you must have an Apple product, stay s far away from the Bethesda Apple Store as possible.  And if you have a tech problem, go someplace hat actually has trained technicians vs. salespeople posing as such.
