Brad Jung Tile Installation

Brad Jung Tile Installation did the renovation on two bathrooms in my home---a master bath and guest bath. I replaced vanity tops, medicine cabinets, vanity light fixtures, bathtub and shower, and plumbing/bathroom and vanity hardware. Existing vanities, toilets and ceramic floors were retained. I started the process by going to Ocean City Kitchen and Bath (OCKAB). Brian Flurer at OCKAB recommended Brad Jung to do the installation. (See a separate review of OCKAB. That review includes pictures also). Both visited my home to see and estimate the job. Brian presented me two separate bids for the job. OCKAB?s bid was for all materials, and Brad?s was for the installation. I signed two separate contracts. The materials were delivered to my home Sept.24, 2013. Brad Jung began work the same day. The master bathroom was done first. The shower (with acrylic walls), vanity top, light fixture, and medicine cabinet were removed, and new ones were installed. The new vanity top was quartz stone; ceramic tile was used to create the new shower with a clear glass swing door, and the new plumbing/bathroom hardware (Moen) and light fixture were brushed nickel. Once the master bathroom was completed, the guest bath underwent the same process. The acrylic walls around the tub were replaced with ceramic tile. During the work, it was discovered that an insufficient number of 2" X 2" tiles had been ordered by OCKAB for the shower floor and striping on the bath and shower walls. More were ordered which took about three to four days for delivery, but then it was found that the tiles came from the wrong color lot and had to be re-ordered again which took another three to four days. Brad completed other work on the job, but then had to suspend work until the materials came in. The installation work was completed Oct. 16. On installation of both medicine cabinets (Nutone), it was found that each had a small chip on one of the door mirrors so the doors had to be reordered. Also, the cabinet doors would not close securely so Brad added magnetic locks which work very well. It took more than a month for the doors to come. Brad hung the doors, and the job was completed in total Nov. 7. In all, the work went very well. Brad is a top-notch installer and made every effort to accommodate my requests. He had two assistants working with him, and at one point had a plumber come by to complete plumbing in the guest bathroom. Brad completed one bathroom before starting the second bathroom ensuring that bathroom facilities were available in my home. He and his assistants were courteous, friendly and professional. They showed up at the times they indicated, laid tarps to protect carpets, and cleaned up everyday after working. His workmanship, especially the tile work, was excellent. I did not get additional estimates on the materials or installation so I can't really comment on the price other than to say it was more expensive then I expected. Brad did give me a small discount. The cost listed in this review is for installation only. The materials cost was separate. I am very pleased with the work and would definitely use Brad Jung for future jobs.
