rThis company was hired by the contractor and designer doing the landscape design of our house, including adding a new porch to the front. The contractor and Mr. Skillman met several times to discuss the project and to repair errors the contractor found in how the side gutter was working as well as the long front gutter. Most of these corrections were made. At the end, they refused to make needed corrections to the front gutter. It collected 2" of standing water and in a heavy downpour there was a waterfall in the middle were the gutter sagged. They said the porch design was at fault, that it was too long a run to get the correct grade on. They even refused to repair a lip of the gutter that was bent out.
In addition they were messy - worst was the large drop of solder they left on the copper a few inches a way from the soldered seam. Mr Skillman's attitude was that happens, and only after being repeatedly asked to fix it by me and the contractor send someone to buff it out. The main workman also scattered his tools and ladder across the newly laid sod during the work day. He also plowed right through a hedge stepping on newly planted flower beds instead of using the walk 4 feet over. After he did this the first time, I spoke to Mr Skillman on site the next day. He said he would tell him not to do that. The following day both Mr. Skillman and the workman were on site with me when the workman did it again. Mr. Skillman said nothing.
Yes, the run on the gutter is extremely long and so difficult to grade However, we then called the roofing company we use for our shingled roof, Wagner Roofing. They were able to make adjustments - mounting more holding clips, especially were the gutter sagged in the middle, and fixing the bend in the lip. After the work, they told us we still might have a little standing water and wished there was more they could do. Did we want to consider a wider gutter? We did not go that route as the adjustments they made have alleviated the problem.

They did the garage and house related work as promised, and everything looked fine. However, the garage roof leak did not get fixed. After several weeks of calling them asking about it, they finally came and tried to fix it. No dice. After a few weeks of calling, they finally came and re-attempted to fix it. Mostly successful, but this was 6 months after the original "fix attempt". Good marks for getting around to doing it, but bad marks for responsiveness and customer service. What really bothered me was the fact that they then sent a bill two months later asking for another $600 or something. I called to inquire about it (why would I possibly have to pay for something you guys botched), and they never responded. No surprise there.

They were a subcontractor for a job that I had in connection with an insurance related project. They did very fine work.

Our neighbor recommended them and we were pleased that they came so quickly because it was hard to get somebody due to all the snow. They were efficient and competent. They worked quickly and did a good job. The price seemed high but it was under adverse conditions because we had three feet of snow.

Great. They arrived on time, kept the place clean during the time they worked (I had to go on the roof to make sure they had been there because I couldn't see any evidence that they were, and the large section of the roof had been torn off and replaced in one day). The new roof works great - no leaks - and they even came back once to redirect some water so our downspout wouldn't get overwhelmed with too much water in heavy rains (and they didn't charge extra for that). One last thing, several roofers just wanted to put a new rubber roof over my old roof - tap down the seams, put some insulation on top, and then the new membrane. Joe told me that that wasn't approved for the roofing material and that not removing the old roof was the cheap way of getting a new roof. I researched all of that, and he was telling me the truth. Don't put a new roof on an old one - even though it will be cheaper to do that - you're just buying yourself problems later on!

I was happy with the work done. I felt they were fair on the price as it was comparable to other estimates. They were professional, on time, and did a great job cleaning up when they were finished. I was pleased how quickly the job was completed.

MY OPINION OF THIS COMPANY IS THAT THEY DO A FANTASTIC JOB, WAS REALLY HAPPY OF WHAT TYPE OF COATING THAT THEY DID PUT ON MY ROOF. THEY CLEANED UP THEIR MESS BEFORE THEY LEFT.
