Al, the man who came was on time. He was very professional and did a great job. Overall, my experience with the company was excellent. They responded promptly to my call and followed up in a timely manner. Good experience.

They did an excellent job. We were preparing the house to sell and the large window in our 2 story foyer and another window in our bathroom had broken seals as a result of a hurricane. The repaired both for a fraction of what a new window would cost and the results were great.

Had a seal broken on a large window above our front door. Gerneral glass came took measurements and returned within the week to replace the window. Very professional and courteous. I don't know what other companies would have charged but all the ones i called wanted to charge just to come out and take measurements. General did not. I would recommend them and use them again.

Needed a large (30x80and quot;) plate glass or plexiglass top for a desk that I was making. I contacted General Glass via email with the specifications and they returned a quote in only a few days. They provided professional insight on the differences between plexiglass and plate glass so I could make an informed decision on the best product for my needs. They took a deposit over the phone and the glass was ready on schedule for pickup. Very professional service and product ... will use them in the future for any similar needs.

Took several trips and appointments. Salesman came out and measured glass, the next week the installer came to install the glass, but it was the wrong size. The next appointment, the installer had picked up the wrong glass, so we had to make a 4th appointment to get the correct glass installed. Luckily I was at home for other work being done during 3 of the 4 appointments, otherwise this would have been a real problem. Hope they can get more organized next time. Windows are fine however....

Excellent - quality work, reasonable price

I called Thursday morning to get an estimate and they said I wouldget a call back that day. They never called back when they were suppose to call back. I called back Monday morning and I still have not gotten an estimate. They do not keep good records. They could not give me a time frame of when he was going to call today.

It went great. A tech came out and made a template of the broken glass which was still on the table. He took the broken glass with him. Brought the replacement glass 3 days later.cleaned and installed it.

Arrived on time. The gentlemen were nice and did a great job on replacing the glass that my children broke playing ball.

They always complete the work properly and efficiently. We have checked many other class companies but they are the best one. They are consistently good. They do have to out source the glass because it is custom glass. However, it's worth it because they get it right. The installers are great and they measure properly.

The inside pane of my doube pane window was broken and I contacted General Glass to do the repair. Based on my rough measurements, they gave me an estimate over the phone. I thought the price was fair so I decided to proceed with using their services. They sent out a technician the next day (on a Friday) to take actual measurements and they were back the next Tuesday to install the insulated glass they had fabricated in their shop. It was a totally smooth process from beginning to end. The one minor issue I had is that the technician didn't have a vacuum cleaner to get up all of the glass shards. He got up what he could, but vacuuming would've been the best route. Still, I highly recommend them.

I called numerous companies looking for a glass table top. While others could compete on the price of the table top, none could compete on the delivery. I called General Glass to get an estimate. The person answering the phone was able to give me an accurate estimate, including the delivery fee. She took my order over the phone and scheduled a date within a week for delivery. The glass was delivered on time. The delivery men made sure the glass was perfectly centered on the table base and clean before leaving. I would definitely use this company again.,

I found General Glass Corporation on Angie's list and gave them a call. The company sent someone out two days later to make a template. The same technician returned two days later with the finished glass. He thoroughly cleaned the new glass and installed it with clear spacers that prevent the glass from sliding (I didn't have them before) and took the broken glass away. Awesome job.

The experience was great. Another company wanted almost three times as much. This gentleman came to my house on time, inspected the mirror, removed it easily, and installed the replacement.

Called and talked to company over the phone, explained my problem. He asked for the door name and told me where to look.
Gave me the price and the date for the work to be performed. Technicians showed up about 1 hour past time given over the phone. Work was done quickly and he explained the warrenty on the parts and labor.

It was one of the best experiences that I have had with a contractor. I called 7 glass contractors for estimates for the replacement of 3 beveled, bronze tinted glass for recently refinished end tables. I received estimates from $90 to $300. The lady that I spoke with at General Glass couldn't have been nicer. In addition, I wanted to make a glass shelf for the bottom of a night stand. I took the piece of beveled glass from one of my end tables and the tempered glass from the top shelf of my night stand for sizing. I took the pieces of glass to the shop on a Monday afternoon and they had the work completed by Thursday morning. They did a beautiful job (including nice smooth edges) and the sizes were perfect. I now have 3 gorgeous end tables and with the addition of clear rubber pads, I now have a bottom shelf for my brass night stand (I didn't use tempered glass on the bottom shelf). The price for the 3 beveled, bronze tinted glass pieces was $95.40 and the price for the glass for the night stand was $17.49 (taxes included).

Based on Angie's List information and General Glass's location in nearby Beltsville, I called on 12/30 to arrange for measurements/estimate on the needed window repairs/replacement. The sales rep, Richard Fieller, arrived for that purpose on Monday, 1/3, as scheduled. Knowledgeable and engaging, Richard reviewed my needs, took measurements and answered my various questions. Because of the very cold weather, I was concerned about how long I'd have to be without several of the storm door panels, and Richard said he would try to schedule the work to repair/reinstall the windows as soon as Thursday, 1/5, if at all possible. Later that afternoon he called and said the installer would be able to be here Thursday. Richard stopped back by and picked up the storm door panels to take to the shop in order to help speed up the process. On Thursday morning, General GLass called to let me know their installer would be here around lunchtime. He arrived around 12:45 and went to work. One "oops" event (the cold weather stymied his glass-cutting efforts for one small window panel) required a quick return trip to the Beltsville shop, but by late afternoon the repairs/replacements were complete, and the new plexiglass door panels were in place. The installer, whose name I missed, has been doing this kind of work for decades and his experience showed. He helped immensely in making the whole little project as painless as possible.

On time. On budget. Good craftsmanship.

The initial phone call was handled very professionally by Susan. She explaned the entire process. She took my name, address, and phone number in order to schedule a technician to come out the next day. She asked me to measure the door and provided me with instructions over the phone. She then provided me an initial estimate and confirmed that the door was standard and confirmed that a technician would be out the next day between 1 PM and 4 PM. The next day, the technician called at 9 AM for directions and confirmed his arrival for 1 PM. He arrived at 1 PM and was very professional. He began work immediately and finished quickly.

They came 1 day after contacting them to take measurements. They had the replacement glass ready to install the following day. They cleaned up after the work was complete. They were good service technicians, and they were on time.
