DHL HOME SVC

Our AC stopped working so we called our Home Warranty Company who in turn contacted DHL Home Services. They responded and determined that the unit needed to be replaced and stated that they would contact the home warranty company later that day. The home warranty company was not called until a day later. The home warranty company had a couple additional questions for DHL but DHL would not return the calls to the home warranty company. It took 3 days for DHL to respond but by then I requested another contractor be hired for the job. Please do not give this company your money.

DHL, took $75 from me for an inspection, and after coming to the conclusion, that the unit was dead, recommended replacement. Warranty company, agreed, and work was scheduled on 04-11. I had to provide an additional $250 for uncovered costs. On 04-11, spoke with Don Lloyd (Owner) who stated that warranty company had ordered wrong parts, and that if he didn't have them by 1PM he would have to reschedule for the next day. Called him at 6PM that night, and 3 times on 04-12 to determine the timing of the install, only to receive a text from him that his "mother had passed away". I bought into it, and gave him until Monday to contact me. After doing some research online, discovered that he had taken a down payment from another client to the tune of $2500, and had had called her the day before the job was scheduled to start to also tell her that his "mother had passed away" This was 2 years prior to my date of installation. Called him several times, demanding my $250 be returned, to only be met with nothing. Do not trust, Do not use. I will be suing him to recover my $250, and in addition to that do not trust Old Republic Home Protection either, they do not background check the people sent to your homes! We will not be renewing our warranty with that company either! Don Lloyd is a complete and total scumbag, do not trust him for ANYTHING! If you don't believe me do your own public record search, and look and see how many times the state of Maryland has sued him for licensing violations!
