Initially, we agreed to pay as certian milestones were reached, and we did. I understood later that they took on another job and began pulling workers from ours and then it lagged on and on. When we would complain they would return them and work for a little while again until it got to be just too much. I purchase my cabinets from a local home improvement store and was going to have them install them in my kitchen but he asked me to let them do them. The trim in the kitchen was taken down them finally left. The quality of the workmanship is substandard. I never thought they would leave me hanging. As much as I thought I was on top of things, many things I did not notice until we started to put our house back together. A piece of the antique dining room china closet got lost and many of our own personal things such as the extension cords and tools were missing.
Description of Work: We had an addition added to our house in the rear and on the side. This gave us an additional sitting room to our bedroom, remodeled bathroom in the master, remodeled kitchen, with screened in porch with patio, and three additional bedrooms withtwo bathrooms in two tof the bedrooms as new. Much of the material such as windows were reused, however the quality of the work was whoever he could find at the time. After almost two years I am having to pay people to come in and try to correct some of the workmanship that they did. Because they did not want to correct the problems they walked away from their last payment without fixing what needed to be done. There are cracks in the walls, and the wood floor has gaps in in the the yard goods in the laundry roof has bubbles and is peeling up. The new subfloor is moving in one of the new bedrooms and when you walk across the floor it bounces so much that the handles on the dresser rattle. The extra money I paid for an Anderson window to be installed in one of the bedrooms was damaged during put in and take out that the screens do not fit in the keep out bugs. The hardwood floor in the kitchen has a dip because of an uneven subfloor. The HVAC in the entended master bathroom blows cold air. I told that it is attached to a return duct so it is kept closed. The biggest problem is this aggravatiing fine dust that settles all over the house from the heating system. We have had it cleans and resealed after checking for leaking but there is still this fine dust that seems to be coming from the drier which they relocated to a new room.
