Beltway Blinds

I had a great experience with Beltway Blinds. They were extremely professional, accommodating, and flexible. They also offered a wide range of window coverings, which was critical in my case as I had to match a single replacement blind to existing sets that were installed by a different company more than 13 years ago. The best part of the experience was working with Tiana. She was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, timely, and professional. She's a great representative of what appears to be a very well run local business. I'd highly recommend this company.

Gave Beltway Blinds a decent sized job - 13 blinds, 2 patio doors. They promptly took 50% downpayment. After over 3 months waiting for blinds and very poor comms on target dates (I blame Beltway for mis-managing the order with the manufacturer and costing me weeks of delay) I was scheduled for install. Install was a week and a half after the order fully arrived at their location. I'd have thought given the negative experience and delays, they'd give me a more expedited install but a week and a half is not terrible, and obviously customer service is not their strong suit, so you roll with it. On the day of the scheduled install while I was at home, taken time off work and waiting for them, they called me, cancelled, and pushed the install out yet another week. Absolute worst customer experience given the dollars I'm spending with these guys. If you want to pay 50% deposit for your blinds and never get them, this is your company

A few months ago, I ordered window treatments for my kitchen window, my sliding glass door and shades for my picture window and two other windows in my family room. I was re-doing my windows, because I had just had my kitchen remodeled. Christina did such an excellent job in showing me the different types of styles I can use in my kitchen and my family room that would compliment one another. I especially liked the choice that Christina Gosweiler gave me for the sliding glass door. I am pleased with all of my window treatments, and I was especially pleased with the Victor who installed them. He was pleasant, friendly, efficient and got the job done quickly. I could not ask for a better end-result with what I purchased. I also like the warranty and how it transfers from owner to owner. You just cannot go wrong with purchasing your window treatments from Beltway Blinds. Make sure you ask for Christina, as she will give you every option that you need to help you make your decision and will help you come in within your budget.

Christina came out to my house for the initial consulation. She showed me all options and explained to me what she could do for my windows. I ended up going with Honeycomb shades for the energy efficiency and extra insulation. Victor came and installed them at the scheduled time and they look great!

Christina was an amazing design consultant! All questions answered and great customer service. I would do business with them again.

Beltway blinds was very timely and responsive. They arrived on time and completes the work quickly. The quality of the work on the other hand is another story. The sliding blinds they installed in my basement was of very poor quality for the price they charged me. The installation was not proper and the whole bar fell on my head only a couple of months after installation. I am actually contemplating legal actions for my head injury.

Well I didn't like the part where I needed to have my husband with me for the sales pitch. I'm a independent woman who has dealt with tradesmen on my own for home renovation projects, I just happen to be married and was annoyed I had to find a time when my husband was available, when I was the one who was going to pick the type and color and pay for most of the bill. This was supposed to be a gift from a relative who wanted to do something nice, but when she heard the final price...... The other annoyance was how forking long it took to get the blinds installed. It took about 2 months from the time I wrote the deposit check. But once the crew came to install the blinds it was pretty quick. We love the blinds. They are probably better than the Ikea blinds we have in half the house (the part that wasn't going to wait 2 months).

We moved into our new house 3 weeks ago and are still living with boxes everywhere. A young man knocked at my door offering a free blind consultation. As busy as I was, I was willing to set up the appointment for someone to bring their samples to me. I was not familiar with Beltway Blinds but after a Google check I found their ratings great so I kept the appointment. Ivan Stanback, the salesman who came to meet with us, was right on time and came to the door wearing a mask but since he was fully vaccinated and we were too we asked him to feel free to remove it. Together we went room by room, measuring the windows, naming the rooms, then we sat down to discuss options. Ivan listened to us and was patient as I went through fabric samples over and over again. I truly wanted to find the right blinds, shades and shutters so this big task would be behind me. Their 30-day price guarantee helped me feel more comfortable with moving forward. I have to warn that this is a very time consuming process. If you are getting several rooms done at one time allow a couple of hours. It turns out Ivan is relatively new in his position but he is thorough, knowledgable and did not hesitate to verify details with his mentor when he was writing up the order. Ivan wants you to feel good about your choices and if he is your sales representative you will be well taken care of. This review is about the consultation process. I will edit my review once my window treatments are installed.

We had an agreement to which I fulfilled my part -- paid total amount upfront in exchange for Beltway Blinds to deliver and install the new ones. They reneged. On the day before they were to install the blinds, they called me to inform that they were just about to order them and will let me know of a future date for delivery. Very poor and unprofessional service!

Love them and best choice to use beltway blinds Update: on 12/15/2020 the Installation team lead by Brian, he and Dennis worked so hard to install 28 plus blinds for my home. They are so courteous and very professional and hard working to install each blinds and throughout the installation keeping me updated and informed. I think they skip lunch and worked to very late afternoon and they determined to complete installation. Brian is a very excellent lead staff. They are very organized and explained to you in details how they plant to install. Both Brian and Dennis are such great team staff. They made very neat and clean during and after installation. Really two thumbs up. Highly recommend beltway blinds, a company really delivers top notch service and super quality of cellular blinds. I love these blinds they are so wonderful and thick to deliver durability. Staff to checkup and follow up blinds setup status and schedules are very courteous and efficient and effective as well. My waits for beltway blinds pay off by its excellent services and beautiful and quality products. On 9/25/2020 late afternoon, Beltway blinds, Mitch in my neighborhood and his nice and sincere attitude convincing me to make an appointment. Wow few minutes later, they called and setup next day estimate appointment. On 9/26/2020, beltway blinds , Justin Bell , came to consult and measure and estimate cellular shades we need. Justin, is very details and knowledgeable and extremely courteous and very professional and patience with me for endless questions. Justin’s commitment, excellent service , candid and assurance for beltway blinds company stands by and striving for, all these credentials I signed the contract the same day. There is no pressure at all. Justin is very reachable for supports and questions or concerns. I also called office for questions and staff are very courteous and friendly. I love support local business. God hear my voice and knows I am looking for blinds and he sent Beltway Blinds and Justin to help me. Overall, Beltway Blinds is very efficient and effective to get down business. I am impressed after dealing a few other companies. Highly recommend Beltway Blinds. It went well.

Setup estimate for window treatments for three rooms. Rep appeared on time. Was courteous and went over what I was hoping to do in each room. Home is 100 years old, with trim remaining from original single sash wood windows. Rep pointed out that they would not be able to do the plantation-style shutters I had hoped for in upstairs bathroom, because of the complex profile of the old window jambs--not wide enough for shutter hardware. Order blinds for sewing room. Came weekend after MD lockdown (company considered essential service) and installed custom ordered, honeycomb blinds. Fit in beautifully with decor of craft room; helps diffuse sunlight without completely blocking out. Install was quick, about 20 minutes. Look forward to getting blinds for computer room.

Beltway Blinds were amazing to me. The rep came to my house and got straight to the point. I was super pleased with his customer service, that I had to go with Beltway Blinds. It took about 3 weeks to get the blinds as stated but once they arrived, I was contacted and there were installed quickly within the week.

Everything went very well! Lots of options and quality material. Sales Consultant was informative and installers were knowledgeable. This was the only place we went with and we do not shop around for other services so I do not know if we got a good price.

The blinds they installed are top quality but it took months to get them to finish the installation. Their communication with customers is almost non existen. After multiple visits from installers who did not have the parts to finish I started calling to ask to speak with a manager but was always told mine were available and one would call me back. After almost 2 weeks of this, and no call backs, I told the person taking the message they had until the next Friday to finish the installation or take everything out and refund my money. I sent the same via their online onscreen form. This finally got me a call back and thy only missed my deadline by 1 day to finish the installation. If they are this bad at communicating during installation how will they respond if I habe a warranty claim. Thy are also not supposed to bill the balance until the installation is finished but one of the installers (who did not have the parts) asked me to sign saying he had been there, next thing I know they have billed me almost 7,000 through Mariner Finance. Mariner finance (who they use for financing) is another issue. My contract stipulated no interest for 1 year but mariner started charging me about 25% interest right away. Do not do business with thus company

It was a great experience. The salesman with whom I had the initial contact was very personable and polite and explained materials, pricing and installation very well. He gave me a potential time of 6 or 8 weeks. However the blinds were ready well before that. The two men who did the installation called when they on their way and were actually early getting to my house. They were very polite and efficient and the work was completed in about an hour. They demonstrated how the blinds worked and clean up leaving no debris. I was very pleased with the work.

The order was delayed weeks without notifying me and the salesman did not explain how the installed shades would look. As a result, I had to order valances to cover the unsightly head rail. The valances were damaged not once but twice. For all the times I spent trying to get someone to follow up, I would not recommend.

As a result, I had to repeat and confirm my selections several times, even as he was heading out the door. The order was delayed without notifying me and the salesman did not explain how the installed shades would look. As a result, I had to order valances to cover the unsightly head rail. While the installer was great, the salesman Thomas and people in customer service, Stephanie, Oliver, and others need training or to be reassigned. For all the time I spent trying to get someone to follow up, I would not recommend this service.

They beat the estimated time of three weeks for fabrication of the blinds by approximately one week. The installation date and time were adhered to. The installers were professional and pleasant. Existing blinds and window treatments were discarded and nail holes in kitchen were caulked. They graciously made the small changes I requested. Installation and clean up were within the hour.

My husband & I came across Beltway Blinds at a local home show. We needed a blackout solution for our nursery. An appointment was scheduled promptly to measure and order our blind. Edith was helpful finding the right color shade and solution for our needs. Within 3 weeks we had our custom blind installed in the nursery & it's the perfect match! Honestly we weren't sure of costs compared to others but later looked at the cost of a custom shades at "box stores" and the price is comparable, but the warranty they offer on their product is amazing!

Everything went off without a hitch. I am very particular about construction zones and leaving a mess. There was nothing to clean up. The tech came on time and completed the kitchen, living room, and 3 bedrooms in a little over 2 hours. The tech wore booties to protect my floors and vacuumed the work spaces before leaving.
