Don and his crew did a great job on our house. Don answered all of our questions and concerns expeditiously. The crew was prompt and professional and did a great job on everything that was remodeled. I highly recommend them to anyone needing work on their home.

The project went very well. We were given a three week window to complete the job. The space was gutted and we had to have a closet off the hall removed and plumbing moved in order to enlarge the shower space and move the vanity to allow for the installation of a linen closet to accommodate for the loss of the closet. The goal of the remodel was to enlarge the door opening and the shower to make the bath more amenable for handicap use while maintaining storage space. The final project met all of our goals. The bathroom is beautiful. We go in there several times a day just to admire it.

We had gotten 3 estimates before meeting Mr. Patterson. I felt a sincere connection when I first met him. His presentation was very professional patiently answering all the questions that my wife and I had. We started with this project within a certain budget which all three of the previous estimates could meet. Mr. Patterson's estimate was much higher but my wife and I felt very confident we choose the right company, and boy was we right. It took about two weeks to complete the project and it was well worth the wait. He far exceeded our expectations with the finished project and if 10 is the highest to be rated, I would go far and above that number. His companies name speaks for itself, American Priority Home Improvements, meaning that our home, which is our biggest investments should always be out first priority. Choose Mr. Patterson for all of your home improvements and trust me, you will not be sorry.

They say you pick your guy first, then spec your project. This was certainly the case for us. Don Patterson was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is professional and honest to a fault. We got four estimates for the kitchen renovation, and all were pretty much the same. We had some tricky problems with walls full of plumbing and heating ducts, but he was able to deal with them all, and we ended up with exactly what we wanted. We had used an architect to prepare initial designs, but, thanks to Don's design expertise, we were able to come up with the final design without having to use the architect.

The project started and proceeded on schedule. Don's crew and subcontractors were all quite competent, reliable and easy to work with. Any issues were quickly resolved. Repairs, corrections, replacements were few and were promptly dealt with, no questions asked. The only negative is that we felt the Aristocraft cabinets we got, although excellent, were not quite up to the quality of the Honeybrook cabinets we replaced (Don installed these in our garage at no additional cost). Most of the drawers did have quiet-close glides but some did not. Don ordered and installed new glides for those.

Because of plumbing issues the final aspect of the kitchen remodeling necessitated the remodeling of the master bath and closets. These were also done in a professional and timely manner. Elimination of a bump-out in the kitchen ceiling required the relocation of the toilet in the master bath, which in turn required taking space from the master bedroom closet. However, borrowing from a closet in an adjacent room and installation of closet organizers ended up with far more efficient use of the closets and no net loss of space.

We had long wanted an upstairs laundry (we've been in this house over 30 years). This project went off without a hitch as we converted a large linen closet to a laundry while still retaining some linen storage.

The next year we had Don back to complete the final stage of the transition from a small concrete patio to a screened porch (1987), to a year-round sun room (1999), to finally a proper family room (2014). This 16x20 room had windows on all three sides, a total of 12, each 4 feet wide. These were replaced by a 4-foot picture window flanked by 2-foot double-hung windows on the two sides of the room and a 12-foot bay window on the long side facing the back yard. We also had him extend the wall on the house side by 6 inches on either side. Since energy efficiency was also a goal of this project (old windows were aluminum, new ones vinyl), we also replaced the aluminum siding on the whole house with vinyl. Once started the project proceeded apace and was finished quickly and with no problems. Unfortunately the start of the project was delayed because, as initially fabricated and delivered, the windows were the wrong size. To be sure, this was an annoying inconvenience, but the measure of a mistake is how it is dealt with. In addition to a $300 credit, Don allowed us to donate the incorrect windows to ReStore for a $6,000 charitable deduction on our taxes.

We were not entirely happy with the siding subcontractor. The finished job was quite good overall, but we needed to keep after them on some of the details.

Again, Don Patterson is excellent to work with, and we would certainly use American Priority again.

I have now used American Priority twice for large jobs: two bathrooms and tile floors in my house, and two bathrooms and kitchens at my mother's condo. Both times the company did a fantastic job, and I could not be happier. They were not the cheapest of the quotes I got (I obtained 7 quotes total), but they were still half the price of remodeling chains such as Fairfax Kitchen and Bath. At my house we had them gut two full bathrooms, relocate plumbing, and create new bathrooms with high-quality solid wood (with plywood sides and back) cabinets, Zodiac countertops, fancy tile on the floors and walls (with listellos and corner stone shelves), etc. They also replaced laminate floors in our kitchen and dinette are with tile. Overall the job quality was very high, and they were done with all the work in two and a half weeks!!! Don was extremelly responsive to all my follow-up questions and requests. All minor issues (minor caulking imprefections, a towel bar that became loose after a year, a cabinet door that became dull after a year) were addressed promptly under their 1 year worksmanship warranty. The crew that we had on both our house and my Mom's condo job was the same -- great guys who went far beyond what was required of them.

Overall workmanship was excellent. They have already returned to repair a hand held shower that the maid broke, at no cost.

I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYBODY. I GOT A PROMPT RESPONSE FROM THEM - WITHIN A COUPLE OF HOURS ACTUALLY. THEY STAYED WITHIN THE AGREED ESTIMATE, RIGHT ON THE MONEY. THERE WERE A COUPLE OF ISSUES, BUT THEY DID NOT CHARGE US MORE TO FIX.
