They did not seem interested in doing the service.

Estimator came on time for appointment, even though it was only 2 days after the tropical storm/hurricane. Advised us what needed to be done to protect our home. Also told us that a tree that that we thought had to come down did not in fact have to come down. Set up a nonemergency appointment (since trees had survived the tropical storm/hurricane). Crew arrived at time contracted, took exactly the amount of time that I was told they would take. Left the property neat as a pin. Wouldn't it be great if all service people were like the Adirondack people. I was amazed at how great they were.

I obtained several estimates using recommendations from friends and neighbors as well as from Angies List. I chose Adirondack because they have arborists on staff as well as tree climbers, and because they use a regular crew rather than pickup day laborers. I did not mind that they took longer to schedule than some other companies. I would rather wait for a company that is capable, insured, knows what they are doing and will actually do what has been promised.

It was pretty simple. I called and talked to a lady and we scheduled an appointment after she gave me an estimate. They came out and did the work that I asked them to. It looks good.

I could not believe my eyes - within 2 hours the tree, the men and all of remains were gone from my yard. It was truely amazing to watch them. This tree was hugh. I would recommend this company to my family and freinds - I already have!

They gave us a fair estimate and were able to quickly schedule a convenient time. They arrived past the two-hour arrival time they gave us, however.

The company provided the estimate on the date and time that was scheduled, and worked with me until I received the consent from my neighbor to perform the work. On the date of the job, they arrived on time, and were prepared. They confirmed the work identified in the contract, and proceeded to do the work. The crew leader specified what he and his crew would do and the order. He assured me that they should be able to perform the work without difficulty. As stated they were able to thin the canopy of a large poplar tree which posed a hazard in severe weather. They also pruned several smaller trees with over arching branches that encroached close to our home and power lines. Lastly, they shaped an overgrown American Holly, making it more aesthetically pleasing to look at. They were respectful of the property, and worked efficiently, and cleaned up, leaving no debris. I was very pleased with this company, and would hire them again in the future.

From the beginning of contact Adirondack Tree service was very professional and efficient. The person taking my phone call was very courteous and helpful and scheduled an appointment that met my availablilty and needs. I received a call the day before the estimators appointment to confirm. The estimator arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time and was very professional in his analysis of my needs. He listened carefully to all my concerns about the tree and very carefully explained all my options in taking care of it. He explained exactly what the work crew would do and what it would do for the health of the tree in the long term. I was given different options for work on the tree and estimates. I agreed to the full pruning along with getting rid of the immediate dead wood. I was called the next day by the office to set up a day for the crew to come to perform the work. The office called me the day before the scheduled work to remind me of the appontment and to ask if there was any need to chaange plans. There wasn't. The work crew arrived in two trucks the next day at the scheduled time. I went over the plans with the supervisor and work began immediately. The crew of four were professional, efficient and hard working. They worked steady with no breaks and no delays and had the job done within an hour and a half. They did a thorough job and were very carefull to be sure that the larger branches did not come down on fencing or other possible items that could be damaged. They completely cleaned up the roof, the yard, both mine and the adjacent neighbors. Before finishing the supervisor discussed with me what was done and ansered all questions I had. A very satsifying experience working with Adirondack Tree Service. I appreciated their professionalism, expertise and their efficient performance. I highly recommend them and would call them again for additional work if needed.

The estimate was given on 6/27 and the work was done the next day, on the 28th. The men who did the work were very professional. During the job they asked me to look and be sure I was satisfied or if I wanted more limbs removed. They cleaned up all the resultant debris. It was a very good experience and I highly recommend the company.

I needed 2 trees trimmed back from my property. When I phoned, I got a receptionist right away who said someone would be out to look at the property and leave an estimate. It was a few weeks before that actually happened, but fortunately I was not in a hurry. Once, I got the estimate, the work was done within a few days. The final cost was within the estimate and the trees were trimmed just as I had specified (i.e. not too much). I was pleased with the whole process.

They were fantastic. They gave us a fantastic estimate and were out here within 24 hours of their estimate. They spent a lot of time looking at the property and had a detailed discussion with us on what we were looking for. They were supposed to come yesterday but could not make it due to the rain, which is completely understandable. They were at our door early this morning exactly on time and worked very hard. They are four guys and one of them is the main communicator. He was great and got them to do some work. They did a fantastic job. They were really thorough and very neat and our place looks great. We were really impressed.

I wish it was cheaper but it was just what I had expected. It's not their fault because to remove a complete fallen tree is expensive. The tree fell in February but I got it removed in April and they actually saved me money because I only had to remove part of the tree in my yard. The part that fell next door was not my responsibility and they saved me money so that was good.

They did an extensive pruning job, but protected the integrity of the tree and the aesthetic - making sure that the tree looked even on all sides. The job really opened up the yard, which was overly shady. I used Adirondack once before at my previous home probably ten years ago. I was happy to find them on Angie's List, and the 10% off coupon was a plus. The company called me early Monday AM after I'd submitted a request over the weekend. They sent an estimator right away, and he completed the estimate in about 25 minutes. He also provided me a copy of the company's insurance policy. I was able to schedule the service for 2 days later. They were extremely flexible in all respects. The crew showed up on time, and it took the same amount of time that the office estimated (approximately 2 hours with a crew of 5 people.) They were courteous and professional, answered all my questions, and cleaned up extensively. Great job!! I will use the company again the next time I need tree work.

Appraiser arrived as promised and provided on-the-spot tentative estimate for that job. Professional and unhurried, he also answered many questions. Appraisal was lowest of three we obtained. Workers arrived when scheduled and did exactly as requested, taking care not to damage lawn and clearing up site very nicely.

They were satisfactory, and did what they were supposed to do. Their prices were also very good.

I called after a series of storms so I expected a wait for service, but I was pleasantly surprised. The appointment for the estimate was a little over a week after I called, which I thought was very reasonable. The estimate was completed on Friday afternoon and the work was completed the following Monday - much faster than we expected! I really appreciated the estimator's (Dan?) honesty. (I don't have my notes handy - I think the estimator was Dan.) I'd been prepared to be told that we would need to take down three or four additional trees, but Dan said that they were healthy despite significant woodpecker activity / nesting. I loved his down-to-earth assessment: "I'll take them down and take your money if you want me to, but I'd be cheating you. If this was my yard, I'd keep them." Needless to say, we kept them. The work was completed while my husband and I were at work Monday afternoon. Since we were paying by credit card, we didn't need to take time off of work - a definite plus! When we got home that afternoon, you'd never know we had work done except for the neat pile of logs in the back yard and the lack of dead branches in our trees. We will definitely be calling Adirondack back for future trims and and removal of any other dead or damaged trees.

They were very good and professional. The tree they removed was large and in a difficult place to reach with their equipment. They brought in a crane that they parked in in my front yard and lifted the pieces of the tree over the house. It was a little nerve racking at first, but they did a great job and safety seemed to be a top concern of theirs. They took down the 60 ft tall and 3 ft wide tree in about 3 hours.

When a man came out to make an estimate, he informed me that i would need to have a permit and left me with enough information to do this. It took a couple of months to get the permit. Once I had the permit in hand, the appointment was scheduled quickly and the crew arrived on time. I was impressed with their teamwork and they did a good job cleaning up. This was a great experience and I would hire them again

Adirondack was punctual, efficient, and clean. Their estimator was right on time and did a quick assessment of our trees. We had identified three trees to trim: (1) leaning onto our roof, (2) a large branch shading a prime part of our garden, and (3) branches brushing against a bedroom window. I discussed the three, and he agreed they should be done, and also gave an assessment of a "declining" tree that I asked about (he didn't think it needed to be dealt with yet). On the day of service, the weather called for thunderstorms, so they called and were able to reschedule for 2 days later. On the day of service, a team arrived on time, did another quick walkthrough with me to make sure they understood everything, and set to work. I left for work, and came home to find everything done, and possibly neater than before.

They were great and it was an excellent job. Their price was probably 40% less than the competitors. I have since recommended them to other people.

We first got an estimate. The estimator arrived on time and explained our options and gave the pricing for those options. Originally we were going to have one dead tree taken out and deadwood removed from a second tree; the estimator pointed out another tree which was dying and asked if we wanted that one taken out too. We decided it made sense to have that tree taken out, since we would have to have the work done eventually anyway. The crew showed up on time on the appointed day and completed all the work within 2.5 hours. They were very careful not to let any of the branches hit the house. When they were finished, they cleaned up the yard and street so that you couldn't even tell they had been here. A squirrel nest with two baby squirrels in it unfortunately was in the tree which was pruned; the crew leader carefully placed it at the base of the tree and a few hours later, the mother squirrel had taken her babies to a new nest. The office staff was professional in arranging appointments and telephoned us with reminders the day before.

They told me they will be there sometime in the morning and they arrived at about 10am. The workers were very polite and explain what they were going to do. My only feedback to them was to make sure that their estimators fill out the estimate clearly. I couldn't understand every word on the form because the estimator took the original and left me with a carbon copy. His writing wasn't very clear but I thought that he told me all important details during the visit. That wasn't the case - he forgot to mention that they wanted access to our backyard from my neighbor's driveway and that I needed a written permission. Since the estimator did not mention it and his description wasn't very clear, we did not have the permission. But the workers evaluated the situation and came up with a solution that worked. The lady at the office did not take the feedback very well. Otherwise, it went very well. Just make sure you read and understand every single word before the estimator leaves your house.
