On March 4th I called Gordon Gaskill and inquired as to him fixing my husband's new Galaxy 3 phone which had gotten dropped and the glass had cracked. I specifically asked if he had fixed these before and how many worked good again. He told me all of them. We took the phone there that afternoon (my husband took off from work early as this being his work phone he needed it fixed right away). We met him at a room in the second story of a house. He said he had moved from the original location. Gordon said the part only cost $40 and that was what he needed for a deposit. We asked how soon we would have it back and he said he should have it by that Friday. When we called him on Friday he stated he would call us when it was ready. This went on for several days. Finally we decided to go get the phone and take it to someone else. When I got there there he told me they had sent the wrong part (which was the exact part he had ordered) and he couldn't get the glass to safely separate from the the other piece as the instructions from the internet had shown. He wanted us to let him have a chance to fix it but with the whole section of phone. Another $350. The entire time he kept making references to the places on the internet and how he could order more parts. I was happy to get my $10 and phone and leave. It was pretty obvious he had never worked on these phones and even told me he had used the instructions on the internet to to "work" on ours. He also said he'd been working on electronics since he was 17 and this was only the second time he had ever had to give a refund. He maybe very good at televisions I don't know but I wouldn't take another phone to him.
Description of Work: Mr. Gordon was to replace a broken glass on a Galaxy 3 phone. He led me to believe he fixed these all the time which was not true. In the end he couldn't and returned $10 of the $40 deposit he charged us.

WE WILL NOT USE VIDEOTRONICS FOR REPAIR OF OUR ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT AGAIN. WE HAD A 35' TV THAT WAS NOT WORKING. THE TECH CAME TO OUR HOME AND TOOK THE INSIDE OF THE TV WITH HIM BACK TO THE WORKSHOP. THE CABINET WAS LEFT SITTING IN OUR FAMILY ROOM. THE REPAIR SHOP HAD DIFFICULTY TRYING TO GET PARTS SO THEY TRIED TO FIX THE TV A DIFFERENT WAY. THE REPAIR DID NOT WORK. AFTER ABOUT 6 MONTHS OF WAITING ON A TV THAT WE WERE TOLD WOULD TAKE 2 WEEKS, WE WERE LEFT WITH NOTHING MORE THAN THE SHELL OF A TV. WE WERE GIVEN A REFUND OF ANY REPAIR COST THAT WE HAD MADE AFTER SOME ARGUING WITH THE MANAGER.
Description of Work: A 35' TV WAS ATTEMPTED TO BE FIXED. THE TV WAS NEVER FIXED AND HAD TO BE THROWN AWAY.

THE SERVICE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY. THEY WERE DONE WITH MY SERVICE PRIOR TO THE TIME THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE. THEY CALLED AND INFORMED ME IN DETAIL OF WHAT WORK NEEDED TO BE DONE AND THE COST. THE INITIAL FEE TO EVALUATE THE PROBLEM WAS COUNTED INTO THE COST FOR REPAIR.
Description of Work: THEY OPENED UP AND ASSESSED THE REASON WHY MY TV WAS NOT WORKING. THEY HELPED ME CARRY IT TO AND FROM MY CAR. THEY REPLACED A PICTURE TUBE.
