I've used jim several times for almost 10 years now - new kitchen rough-ins, toilet installation, hot water heater installation, etc. not sure he's the cheapest but always shows up and is trust worthy and professional

Hooked up our kitchen sink and dishwasher, demolished old bathroom walls and put up hardi backer for us to tile on our own. Moved toilet flange and redid vanity plumbing to 2 separate plumbing for his/hers sinks. A little on the expensive side and process from start to finish took a little to long (ordered tub beginning of Jan...plumber went on vacation a week..Took another week to install tub and do drywall and hardibacker. Owner could have been a little more customer friendly at times and didnt show up on time a few times. Could have kept us a little more in the loop of the tub being delayed or when he was going to show up. Told my husband the first tub was broke, but never told me anything about that when he didnt show up all day and I questioned when he was coming out multiple times, when said he would be there at 8-9am the week before...came at 4pm (had to take a day off work..lack of communication). Complained about multiple contractors working on the house at the time and said he could do a better job..just too confident with his abilities. Will probably look elsewhere for further projects. His assistant was very nice and friendly

A few months ago, our water heater went up. As a quick fix, my husband decided to get a smaller water heater installed because we didn't have the time to search around for an experienced plumber who would give a good price. The smaller water heater did not put out enough water and was installed completely wrong. Pipes R Us came and performed a free estimate. They were extremely professional (wore booties and everything!) and they knew what they were doing. They gave me a price that was GREAT and it included a discount that would help us offset the cost of the useless small water heater that we had previously purchased. Their price included hauling away 2 hot water heaters and installing the new one correctly. I'm VERY pleased and would highly recommend them to everyone.

The initial contacts were delayed with a period of no contact that extended over a time period of a few weeks. However, once the second contact was made the rest of the job was conducted in a satisfactory time frame. The initial plan was deviated from in order to benefit the him and not the customer. Instead of extending the piping from the area of connection perpendicularly to the street (with a gradual slope) the contractor choose to place the pipe very close to the dirveway and create an elbow joint to deviate the flow of water to a 45 degree angle away from the driveway and to dip steeply under the sidewalk. This plan reduce his need to dig two closely oriented thin ditches to one larger ditch. The problem we are having now is that the piping is so close to the driveway that we can not put in a retaining wall without running into the pipes unless we connect the retaining wall to the floor of the driveway thus reducing the width of the driveway. This is precisely the opposite of the goal of extending the driveway width. The other pipe that connected the down spout to the sump pump and leading to the street was completed in a timely and satisfactory manner consistent with the drawings and plans. The worst part of the job was the cement work! No framing, forms, expander fillers, were used. The cement poured to create the sidewalk was horribly done. The formless cement that filled the sides of the driveway were allowed to pour into the sidewalk slab. These areas are already cracked! The workers who came to complete the job were unprepared to complete the job that the foreman had encouraged us to do. The foreman advised us to extend the driveway even further than first proposed and we accepted the suggestion. However, communication with the workers must have failed because they came without the proper amount cement. Finally, the cement that was created to replace the curb and surround the pipes were slapped together without craft leaving the openings. Often the water that is exiting to the street is trailing the pipe and coming out the of the sides of the pipe rather than from inside the pipe. The job seems to be draining the water to the street but not nearly as efficiently as it could have been had this job been done with the customer's interest came first. The cement work is grossly subpar!
