MBA Mortgage SVC Inc

The individual's name that I work with is Brent Kluge. They did their job but they're a pain to work with. It started out really well but at the end of the deal, it had completely turned and it got really nasty. The lender who I worked with was very knowledgeable about the loan process. I think he knew what he was doing but as soon as things got hard, he completely was not responding to texts, phone calls and voicemails. My realtor got us on a three-way call for the person to respond to me. He screamed at us and cursed at us. It was not pleasant. The loan processor that I worked with, I had a really good one in the beginning but she left the company. The new loan processor that I got had zero experience with the loan.

Was referred to Gary Fischer and MBA Mortgage by a co-worker who was refinancing his house. I called Gary just to ask a few questions and get some information. He told me "I was in luck" and that he needed to start my paperwork by 4pm to lock me into a FHA streamline loan with a lower MIP (Mortgage Insurance Premium). When i expressed my hesitance to start the refinancing process Gary told me that i could transfer the loan to another lender of even cancel it at any time but that if I didn't start it today I would have a much higher mortgage payment. So seeing no downside I started the refinancing process with MBA. What originally started out to be bringing 1 to 1.5 mortgage payments to closing went up an extra 2,000 dollars in the next week. I called another mortgage broker to ask if this was normal and was informed anything over a mortgage payment at closing was too much - MBA currently had me on the hook for an extra 3,000+. I called Gary and told him i wanted to switch companies at which time he became irate on the phone telling me that he just spent the last week working on my situation for nothing. I responded that a friend of mine was a broker and i felt more comfortable refinancing 350,000 through someone i know - i told him it was nothing personal just business - AND he told me that I could switch at anytime per our first conversation. I further asked him what should i do to start the transfer process - he told me to do nothing but to have the new company contact him. A week and multiple attempts by my new company to contact MBA later i called to find out what happened. Gary answered the phone and told me he was not sure if it got transferred or canceled. When i asked him how could it have possibly gotten canceled he response was "you weren't worried about my paycheck last week so why should i worry about your mortgage", he further twisted the knife by saying "it's just business". I filed an official complaint through the states of Virginia and Maryland and the response that they received was from Micheal P. Betley president of MBA Mortgage. It stated that Mr. Betley worked with me through the entire process and that after I became belligerent on the phone I specifically asked him to cancel my refinancing paperwork. I have never met, talked to or emailed this man in my entire life. In closing - MBA Mortgage Services Inc. is a company that tried to steal over 3,000 dollars from my family originally, canceled a refinance out of spite that they told me they would transfer costing my family another 100,000 over the course of the loan and then had the president of the company write a completely fabricated statement to evade any kind of consequences for this illegal behavior. I can not put in words how dishonest and shady this company is but i tried my best - and i hope they get put out of business so that another family does not have to be put through the ordeal mine did.
