+ -1 moreThis was a very positive experience. The old deck was demolished and Johnny and the crew rebuilt it. They did an excellent job! Johnny was responsive to all my questions. The deck is large so it took nearly a week to complete - but they were very helpful to point out some brick trouble with some of my piers at the front of the house. Johnny and I worked together to form a solution and he was very friendly and accommodating. The end result is absolutely stunning. I am very pleased.

+ 0 moreWonderful crew. Johnny Abrams was responsive to the design and the scheduling. Overall, great workmanship. As with any contracting work, there was a couple of issues after the built but LP Homes responded well and corrected the issues. I could not be happier.
Description of Work: Built a deck (~740 SF), Azek PVC decking, white vinyl rail system, wrap wood exposure with PVC deck trim and lighting package. Coordinate with county inspector.

Description of Work: LP Homes was building a deck for a neighbor, and a few of the other neighbors including myself asked if there might be a volume discount. Because there were so many of us building at once, they were able to give us a little bit of a break in price. I did my homework before going with LP and they've gotten excellent recommendations. They worked carefully with our HOA and the county to get permits for their work, and were always above-board. I contracted with LP for ipe wood decking (instead of Azek) and I am thrilled with the look and durability. I am sure this was more labor than LP bid the job to take, because they were breaking drill bits left and right on the pre-drilling of the very hard ipe wood. Still, they did not charge me extra, and the guys were there working hard every day that weather allowed. The construction was well done and things were left clean and tidy. I was a little concerned because the salesman indicated that the lawn under the deck would be "just fine - like it was" but of course that was not the case after all the digging and with the woodpile being stored there. Not a big deal, because lawn is easily re-seeded after such a big project, but I wish he'd been straight about that from the beginning. There was also a cross-bracing issue. I asked for cross-bracing and it was on the plan, but at the end, it wasn't installed. When I called to ask, they told me the ipe material was strong enough to hold things together and the county inspectors were happy with that. I wasn't convinced, especially given what I've seen from some of the inspectors around my area, so LP didn't argue and came right out and braced it up. That's why they get an A in professionalism. I appreciate the hard work and the beautiful deck they made - good people, and a good product for a very fair price.
