Jimmy is very responsive and a pleasure to work with. He handled my emergency calmly and professionally, putting me at ease. He responded quickly. I even talked with him about future projects and he gave me a list of what I need to ask for when I am shopping for my island lamps. I plan to have him out soon once I have finished my shopping. He also came out last October and replaced some outdated lighting in my basement.

They did a very good job.  I was very happy with what they did.  They explained everything to me.  I was there while they were working and they gave me progress reports while they were doing it.  They cleaned up the mess when they were done.  That’s always nice when I don’t have to come in and find a mess.  They were definitely on time.

I contacted Jimmy from JMC Electric to install a new ceiling fan on a vaulted ceiling.  I needed the fan installed within a couple days, and he made every effort to accommodate me.  He kept in touch with me to advise of openings.  When he got here (promptly, I might add), he first laid out all of the parts to the fan.  I was surprised when he asked me if it was used, because I had purchased it new.  He then showed me the wires and other parts that had been used, although repackaged very well.  It appeared that it had been a returned item, but from a very dishonest person.  The box even contained a part to the remote that was dated 1990, and was yellow, not matching or belonging to this fan at all!  Other parts were scratched and showed some wear.  This was a nightmare for me, because I had this electrician here, ready to work!.  Thinking that I had to reschedule the service, I was very upset.  But Jimmy was very kind and worked with me so that I could take the time to purchase another "new" fan and begin the installation.  He went on another small job in the meantime, but shortly thereafter, we were back to installing my fan.

The new fan was great, but my ceiling was steeper than what the new fan would allow.  We discussed  the options that I had:  1) I could try to find and purchase--today--a different fan (with remote) that would work with the ceiling, or, 2) Buy just a "canopy", which is the cup-like part that is flush against the ceiling, from which the fan hangs, or 3) Use the canopy from my old fan, which would work, but did not really match (white metal to wood).  I decided to go back to the store and look for a decorative canopy.  So, more time wasted, but I didn't find anything.  Again, Jimmy worked with me, and I decided to allow him to adapt a part that had been on the old fan, which did allow for the steeper pitch.  Then, he asked me if I had a 12V battery, which is about half the size of a AA.  I didn't--it was an odd size battery.  But luckily, he had one on his truck, which he used on my fan.   

Although there were so many problems to get through, Jimmy made things right.  To me, that shows that he really cares about his customers and his company's reputation.  He could have charged me for ALL the extra time that this took, and it was a good bit.  I also want to mention that the fan has never been quieter than it is now.  The old one rocked and made some minor noise.  This new one is perfectly stable, but has the capability to pivot if needed.  He also had to install a light system for it, because the former fan had none.  Again, GREAT service and customer satisfaction, and very professional.  I highly recommend him and his company.  "Give him a call--he'll wire it all!"
