Hampden is a 119 year old full service moving and storage firm headquartered just north of Baltimore. We provide household moving locally within Maryland and across the U.S. as a top service ranked agent for Allied Van Lines. Hampden also provides portable storage, office moving, warehouse/industrial moving as well as commercial storage. We are a distribution center for several major house delivery services. Angie's List members receive special preferred customer pricing on all services.

The staff at Hampden are very professional and responsive. From the first call to set up an estimate for moving until the last call to insure everything was done to my satisfaction. The entire team were excellent. Deb always responded promptly to my calls or texts. Deb coordinated everything I needed including additional stops I requested at both ends of my move. Thank you!

Absolutely great! Everyone at this company really seems to take pride in their job. I could not have been happier with everyone involved from the people on the phone to the 3 men who did a great job moving my furniture. They were prompt, called when they were on their way. They were polite, fast and very cautious.

Our movers James, John, Kemp, & Bill were professional, friendly, courteous, & diligent. Kelly, Nakea, & Matt in the office were also friendly & professional. The final cost was $700 less than the estimate so we were thrilled!

The movers were great. But, both my wife and I feel that we should have been more attentive to the "fix priced" bid we got. It was for the move, not boxing. We got charged more for boxing items. But the sales agent saw all of the items that needed to be boxed too. Error on our part but the sales person did not convey completely to my wife and I about the "unfixed" part. Although I checked "would not hire again" on this evaluation I believe that we might. But I would get a verbal as well as written commitment as to what we were signing up to. Be aware.

They were very good and professional. They came in, moved everything, everything got here exactly when they said it would and nothing was broken. They didn't mistreat anything. They did an excellent job. That is more than I can say for the move we made from LasVegas to DC.

Gave lots of boxes and packing materials. Timely move. The team that unpacked the truck in Florida was the best. Very professional in terms of knowing how to reassemble and move heavy items undamaged.
Couple of issues with a broken staircase spindle and hole in the wall on the packing end. I was able to fix these. The team that packed up the house didn't have quite the experience, but worked hard.

I was very pleased with the move. They were very thorough and didn't do any damage to the walls while moving out the furniture and belongings. When I got my belongings we noticed no damage to our stuff. The price they quoted they stuck with it and the price was reasonable. The dates that they provided of delivery was right on. The crew and the staff of making arrangements were professional. Very courteous, thorough, and knowledgable. They are also give you a way of tracking your belongings during transit. I would highly recommend their services to others.

Our experience with Hampden has been great so far. They moved about 8100 pounds into storage for us. The estimator Dan was extremely professional. The coordinator Kelly was very responsive and courteous. The movers themselves were great - there was no damage to the house or the inventory. And they were polite and hard-working throughout a very hot day. We haven't completed the move yet, but based on the first part of the move I expect no problems with the next stage. I would definitely recommend them.

We had a great experience. They were very careful with our stuff and were very professional. They used runners for the carpet and things like that. They were expensive but were good value for the service we received so I will use them again in the future.

We didn't have much to move and most of it was new. I liked that they provided as many boxes as we needed, they were right down the street from us so it was convenient, they were good in getting back to us. I wasn't actually happy with the move, because when we got here to Pennsylvania our settlement was moved sooner and even before the guys knew that they could download when we were having settlement because we were only couple of units away. They left before we left the settlement and left all the stuff just sitting here. I will not use them again in the future.

It didn't go well. They damaged a number of pieces of furniture, some of which were valuable antiques. Even though we purchased insurance, it was difficult to reach them, to have them return phone calls, and to have them honor the insurance agreement itself.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE FOR WHAT CAN BE VERY STRESSFUL WAS QUITE TOLERABLE. THE MEN WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. I WOULD MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM.
