Concrete was poured again. This time in a single pour. Insufficient colorant was used resulting in a patio that was not the correct color. While not desirable, we considered it acceptable, vs ripping it out a second time. While pouring the second time, significant damage was done to both our yard and our neighbors yard, subcontractor directed concrete truck through neighbors yard.
Concrete was sealed. After one winter, sealant stripped off about 50% of the patio and parts of the sidewalk.
At this point Haines Remodeling has disappeared. Won't return calls, emails or respond to mail. We were left with a damaged yard, a damaged neighbor's yard and an ugly patio. What is really sad is that we've used Haines Remodeling for years and had found them to do good work and stand by it. Not sure what happened. Clearly this job went south. Haines Remodeling should have monitored their subcontracts more closely and stood by their work regardless of the outcome.
Price: Haines provided free estimates for the stairs and the bathroom and their prices were extremely fair and competitive. Since our roof repair was unexpected and urgent, we didn't solicit other bids because we trusted Haines and knew they would charge fair prices. They hold true to their estimates and don't "nickel and dime" the homeowner.
Quality: workmanship is top notch. Everything was built exactly a requested.
Responsiveness: phone calls were always returned promptly and turnaround on estimates was 48 hours or less.
Punctuality: Robert was always willing to work around our schedule and arrived on time or even a little early.
Professionalism: Every single Haines employee was friendly, respectful and knowledgable. I trusted them completely and had no problem having them in my home without being present. They took great care to protect flooring and cleaned up after themselves.
