They were great. Rob called me in the morning because I had dropped the car off after hours the night before. He asked me about the problem and what, if anything, I may have already done for the problem. Then he went to work. In the afternoon he called me again to say that I had needed a new Mass Air Flow Sensor and he replaced that. But after he reset the CEL code so it would go away he ran the car again to see if the check engine light would come back on -- and it did. It was showing a new set of codes so he continued looking for the cause and found I needed a new air duct because mine was cracked. This really impressed me that he didn't settle for the first solution he found - the MAF sensor- but made SURE I wouldn't get any other codes. He did tell me that the air duct would not be in until the next day so he had to keep my car and install it tomorrow and that the total would be $325. When I picked the car up on the following day the cost was $325 just as Rob had told me. It was an overall pleasant experience. I felt like I could trust Rob and will definitely go there for all my car repair needs. I won't be going back to the dealer for anything.

Brought my 95 Impala SS in with an engine miss/rough idle that I couldnt figure out. Rob did some diagnostic work, and chased it down to a broken valve spring. Fortunately it didnt come apart into pieces and ruin the motor. Rob did compression test, replaced the plugs, changed the oil, replaced all 16 valve springs and did a front end alignment at my request. After the problem was found I had the car back in a day and it runs GREAT.

ON this occasion my car's motor was wet with oil. It could have been any number of things though I was able to rule out easy things like leaking cap or valve covers. etc. I was prepared for the worst. Rob pinpointed it to a leaking intake manifold gasket and had it fixed in a day. I also had him change the oil and do a front end alignment. Its been about 15,000 miles and the leak is gone

Rob's shop specializes in corvettes and other GM muscle cars but works on everything under the sun. He has worked on both of my Impala SSs and my GTO doing everything from exhaust, suspension, motor work, alignments and regular maintenance. His work is always fairly priced and the work it top notch. I am ridiculously picky when it comes to my cars and I wont take my car anywhere else. I know it is in good hands, it will be fixed correctly and he wont rip me off. Rob has a lot of very experienced GM techs working for him.

We were on a pleasure drive and our car started to make a grinding noise from the rear end. Cut the trip short and drove home. Called Gallant's and spoke to Rob the owner. He offered to look at it the next morning. Took it in and he immediately diagnosed that the right rear universal was bad. Replaced the part that afternoon and checked the other U joints while he was at it. Said he usually replaces both at the same time, but he noted the other one was relatively new and did not need replacing. Very honest, the other joint had failed a year previously and been replaced by a shop in our previous town. As he noted, the right one should have been done at the same time. It would have saved expense and aggravation. Had the car back by the following evening. This was our third visit to Rob's shop for three different cars. Each time he has been very professional and honest in his dealings with us. He's a pleasure to deal with and his work is excellent.
