They were great. Rob called me in the morning because I had dropped the car off after hours the night before. He asked me about the problem and what, if anything, I may have already done for the problem. Then he went to work. In the afternoon he called me again to say that I had needed a new Mass Air Flow Sensor and he replaced that. But after he reset the CEL code so it would go away he ran the car again to see if the check engine light would come back on -- and it did. It was showing a new set of codes so he continued looking for the cause and found I needed a new air duct because mine was cracked. This really impressed me that he didn't settle for the first solution he found - the MAF sensor- but made SURE I wouldn't get any other codes. He did tell me that the air duct would not be in until the next day so he had to keep my car and install it tomorrow and that the total would be $325. When I picked the car up on the following day the cost was $325 just as Rob had told me. It was an overall pleasant experience. I felt like I could trust Rob and will definitely go there for all my car repair needs. I won't be going back to the dealer for anything.
Rob's shop specializes in corvettes and other GM muscle cars but works on everything under the sun. He has worked on both of my Impala SSs and my GTO doing everything from exhaust, suspension, motor work, alignments and regular maintenance. His work is always fairly priced and the work it top notch. I am ridiculously picky when it comes to my cars and I wont take my car anywhere else. I know it is in good hands, it will be fixed correctly and he wont rip me off. Rob has a lot of very experienced GM techs working for him.
