Bob Edgar came to our home to provide a quote. We quickly found the best solution for our leaky toilet was to replace it with a modern 1.6 gallon per flush model. We ordered the new toilet and once delivered, set up the installation appointment. Bob (another Bob, not Bob Edgar) arrived at our home on time, totally prepared for the task, and ready to work. He made quick work of removing the old toilet and began installation of the new toilet.
As old homes go, one issue uncovers about 3 others: come to find out, a waste water pipe ran too close to the toilet and would not allow installation of the new toilet we ordered. We decided to quickly buy another toilet locally (which we should have done to begin with) that we knew would fit in the space available.
Rather than making another appointment, Bob graciously moved his schedule around and ended up removing and replacing 2 toilets in one visit when the original appointment only called for one.
Edgar Plumbing was very accommodating and did a great job. I would definitely recommend them and will call them in the future for any other issues. I'm not sure how their price compared to other pricing as I didn't shop around... but, even if I paid a little more, it was well worth their professionalism, expertise, and all-around great attitude.

I called Edgar Plumbing and got a call back that day. Bob was at our house within 2 days, right on time, looking neat and professional. Our new faucet was installed and looks great. Bob took plenty of time and patiently explained all the answers to our questions. We felt extremely confident of his expertise. We love this company and will definitely be using them again. It's so great to find a terrific plumber!

The work went smoothly - we knew that he and his assistant were juggling several jobs at once. He was honest about this and I told him I didn't mind if we did not have as much advance notice or if he didn't always come on the day he thought he would. However, he always called the night before coming, and he and his assistant were always punctual, polite, utterly professional. They both took the time to explain what they were doing and why. I learned a lot about the house's plumbing through the process, which was great.
There was a situation where in re-running a drain line outside he damaged a sprinkler line in the yard. He was very professional about it and though he maintained that he was not liable for this incidental damage as he was not told the sprinkler line was there (true) that he was willing to work out an arrangement wherein he would incur some of the cost of that repair.
Overall, I'm very pleased with Mr. Edgar's attitude, and the quality, thoroughness, and long-sightedness of his work.

They provided the garbage disposal. Everything was very upfront and professional. They did clean work. Mr. Edgar did a really excellent job. I would strongly recommend him to anyone wanting to get a good plumber. They may not be the least expensive but I think if you want good work done, you have to pay for it and he really knows his business.

Excellent. Bob Edgar and his co-workers are knowledgeable, professional, punctual, and honest. They do a very good job and let you know your options clearly. We've used them on a number of occasions both in our current house, an 80 year old colonial with radiator heat, and at our last house, a 20 year old house which needed a lot of help with draining and plumbing problems.

Fantastic service is the first thing I would say and absolutely knowledgeable. We inherited a complicated broken shower from the previous owners. Only a few plumbers would deal with the shower head and equipment (Hans Grohe). Bob Edgar came out and did a lengthy consultation prior to coming back to fix it. He was thorough, clearly explained the problem, and overall was a pleasure to work with.

I made an appointment (June 11, 2007). Mr. Edgar's associate was on time. He was here for a couple of hours. He diagnosed the problem right away. On June 13, Mr. Edgar and his associate Bob Fincham arrived promptly. They worked all day and finished the three tasks I had requested. They did a beautiful job--they were professional, and they left everything so clean. And, I believe, the most important thing about this job was that it was diagnosed properly in the beginning; if not, I would have had holes everywhere. They didn't miss a beat.

Great. We called, they answered the phone - better than many. They said they'd come within the week and be at our house on the assigned day between 8:00 and 8:30 and the plumber was here at 8:15. Amazing. The guy identified the problem, knew exactly what we needed (a new strainer and the connecting pipe), went and got the materials, went through the ceiling and carefully fixed the problem in about three hours. He cleaned up after himself (the shower looked even cleaner than when he began) and made a temporary patch in the ceiling, All in all, fantastic work. The price was really high, but they actually fixed it, which is more than I can say for most of the handyman / repair guy / ripoff artists we've encountered in Baltimore.

Bob came out to look and take photos of the old system, and to discuss our proposed updates. A week or two later he prepared several detailed proposals giving us various options for the extent of the update. We asked two other firms to produce estimates. One came in with a proposal at a significantly lower price but did not include the energy conserving designs we wanted nor did the person sent out seem to have sufficient knowledge to discuss the options we were considering. We made the decision to go ahead with Edgar Plumbing with the work and the days for the work were picked. They arrived promptly early on a cold day and worked late into the evening so that we would have heat and hot water during the night. They worked a long second day and finished the work in the evening. A super job with which we are very satisfied. Very professional work, everything cleaned up. We are extremely pleased with this work by Edgar Plumbing.

I HAVE FOUND THEM TO BE VERY QUICK. I NEVER HESITATE TO CALL THEM FOR ANY REASON, WHETHER IT IS AN EVERYDAY RUNNING TOILET OR TO INSTALL OUR NEW WATER HEATER. THEY ARE PERSONABLE, BUT THEY GET THINGS DONE.
