We service, maintain and install forced air heating, hydronic heating systems, natural and LP gas furnaces, split air conditioning systems from 1-100 tons of cooling, package rooftop air conditioning systems and all makes and models of refrigerated cases, walk-in boxes, reach-in boxes and ice machines. We specialize in installation and servicing of walk in boxes/freezers, refrigeration units and all makes and models of residential HVAC units. I called at 7:14am, explained my predicament and they had a technician at my door by 7:55am. My A/C upstairs had shut off overnight. Todd was very professional and spent two hours diagnosing the issue, showing me the problem and explaining the options. My evaporator has a leak, which should have been explained to me by Accurate Air as they had to refill 1.5 lbs of refrigerant on 5/5/15. It needed refrigerant again today but instead of simply refilling it, taking my money and heading to the next job, Todd explained that I need a new evaporator. He also explained that it is probably best to replace the outside condensor for an additonal ~$600-700 as it is 10 years old and already has a replaced capacitor. Since it is September, he recommended refilling the refrigerant, which should allow me to limp along the remaining month or so I need to use the AC, then replace the evaporator and condensor in March.
It was nice to not hear "you need to spend $2,000 today", which easily could have been the pitch. He was to me super quick, diagnosed the issue, and offered multiple solutions. i am appreciative and will use them for replacement of my unit in March as well as maintenance in October and April.
