Absolutely perfect. Probably a better job than I could have done when I was younger. Fast, efficient, clean and friendly. Well worth waiting for. She will definitely be hired for the next job that needs to be done.

Wendy was very thorough and from the time she first came to do an estimate, we could tell that she would do the work as if it was her own home, which is why we ultimately decided to use her. She also provided a terrific written estimate by email, detailing exactly what was going to be done and what was included, leaving no question as to whether we mutually understood what needed to be done. She also only uses Sherman Williams paint and we are very happy with the quality.
We were unsure of what color we wanted so she even tinted the primer to what we thought we wanted, just to be sure. This was really helpful and thoughtful of her to do this - I didn't even know that was an option.
She's also very neat while she works, cleaning up behind herself as she go. Even though we are home all day most days, the interruption to our daily lives was minimal.
Wendy is very friendly, helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend her to others.

After initially writing a poor review when trying to set up an initial appointment, I am amending it to a very good one.
Wendy called back the next day and did the estimate as described above. The estimate was very reasonable and so far since we are doing the project piece meal we have paid her for the work done and it did not vary at all from the estimate. She arrived on time and worked diligently the whole time she was there each day. She came for 4 days that week and finished 2 rooms in which a lot of wall prep needed to be done. The work included closets and trim.
She was delightful to be around as I and my husband were also doing work in the house while she was, and we were in and out of the house throughout trying to start moving things. We are a bit inhibited in moving in, not because of Wendy, but because our flooring was delayed.
Her workmanship and quality were impeccable. I was concerned about hiring a painter because I myself did all the painting in our previous house and I have very high standards on the quality of the work, especially on trim and around edges. However, we were in a time crunch and while I can do good work it is not fast and I have a lot of other commitments that preclude me and my husband from doing the painting myself. Her work met and exceeded my standards, hopes, and expectations. There is a very nice hardwood floor in one of the rooms she was doing and there was not a spot of paint on it when she was done. The edges were precision and the intense prepwork meant the finish was flawless.
I am so happy with Wendy and that she is working our job in between others that she had previously committed in order to get it done as soon as possible. Any further painting we want a professional for will most certainly be done by Wendy as long as she will have us as customers. My mother-in-law in fact asked for her info for a project she is doing after having seen the rooms we have had done so far.
In short Wendy is awesome. If you need a professional painter in the area, hire A Brush of Class!
The following was my initial review which you can see I have had a much better experience since then:
Having seen these wonderful reviews here, I enthusiastically called Wendy and left a message about trying to set up a meeting. She called back within minutes. We set up a meeting for 2 days later at a specific time. She never showed up. I called and left a message. She did not call back. I called again with still no answer. I was there 30 minutes before the meeting and an hour after it was scheduled.

"I deeply apologize for this mishap. As you stated on your review, I called you back within minutes of you leaving me a message to set up a time for an estimate. This tells you, how committed I am to the integrity of my business and work. I do not know what happened to why I did not show up for the estimate. I did not receive your message the day of the estimate. I take pride on being on time and definitely showing up for the estimate no matter how near or far. As you read my reviews and saw the comments on how professional I am, there should have been a question to you on what happened the day I did not show up. Again, I know there is no excuse, but I would like to extend my sincere apologize to this matter. The only thing that I can think of for me not to show or call back was when my dad had blood poisoning from a spider bite and he was in the hospital. I know I keep on saying there is no excuse, and there is not. This would have been the only reason for me to show up. As you mentioned, I called you back within minutes of you making the first call. If I received your message the day I did not show, I would have called you back immediately, but I think this was the time my dad was in the hospital. I wish I could have called, but I am guessing, I just forgot after he was released after three (3) days in the hospital. I am very sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused. Please feel free to contact me to discuss this matter. Again, I apologize."

Excellent in every way! The pricing was in-between the other 2 bids I received, and seemed fair. She was very helpful in color selection. It was educational to discuss the painting of the kitchen cabinets, she clearly has lots of experience doing this work, and the results were great! The hallway and trim were standard painting that I just did want to do myself as it required tall ladders. She did not disrupt the household in any way, she came in after I left for work, and when I returned each evening, I could see lots of progress, but no mess. She kept all of her gear in the spot we agreed on, neatly covered with a drop cloth. I never saw a ladder or any evidence of ongoing work, just the neat covered gear, and beautiful paint. She started on the agreed upon date and was done 4 days later as expected. She even let the dogs out while she was there, and mentioned how she enjoyed their company while she worked. I would definitely hire Wendy to do more painting when I need it done.

"Thank you for your report. I take every effort on the quality of work I do. It means a lot to me that you noticed how much I cleaned up each day and took the time to put things away before I left for the evening. I take pride in making sure things are not left out such as drop clothes, ladder, and painting materials. Knowing you have animals, I try to take extra precaution in making sure they do not get to my equipment or the paint. I really enjoyed meeting you and seeing the transformation in your home. Thank you again for your business and I look forward to future painting projects."

We chose Wendy over a larger contractor because we were impressed by her sales spiel ? including that she goes above and beyond to treat every job like it?s her own home. We should either have gone with the larger contractor, or done it ourselves.
She is a one-woman business, so I asked what we should do as far as prepping the rooms. She indicated that all we needed to do is move furniture away from walls; she would take care of removing outlet covers, etc. I should have asked for clarification on what was included in ?etc.? because anything that was left up, she painted around.
Her level of attention to detail was sorely lacking. She did not remove doorknobs, which would have been fine, if she hadn't gotten paint on the doorknobs, and the hinges. It is obvious that she does not mask (which would be fine, if her detail work were neater) and does not use dropcloths appropriately ? she left a LOT of paint speckles on the floor, kitchen appliances, bathroom tile, counters. She got paint on nearly all hardware that was left up on the walls. She also left a trail of paint-water droplets across our brand new laminate floor.
Each evening, I was able to make a disappointingly long list of areas that she needed to touch up the next day ? even after she indicated that a room was ?finished.? Her cut-ins are sloppy - she painted nearly 1/8" onto the tile in the bathrooms, and in many places on the floors.
Also, she used a very bright white on all trim even though I specifically asked her to use a different white - and she did not tell
me that she was not going to use the color I'd picked out. I assume this is some kind of money-saving thing, but I would not have minded paying for trim paint that would match my walls better than bright white, if she had given me that option.
Overall, I?d say she is overly speedy at the expense of being careful. She does not go back and check her work before moving on to the next room, and does not clean up mistakes as she goes.
We used Wendy because we had painting to be done and no time to do it ourselves; also, she was one of only a few contractors willing to come out to our house in the middle of nowhere. For $40+ per hour, we were very disappointed in the quality of her work. We will not use her again, nor would we recommend her to friends or family.

Wendy is a professional in every way. My initial appointment was scheduled promptly and the estimate followed within a few days via e-mail. Wendy was happy to advise me on paint colors and paint types. She was punctual every day. She carefully prepared the walls checking every inch hammering nail pops, spackling and sanding. Wendy bravely painted a two story foyer and two stairways requiring a careful maneuvering of the ladder. Two colors were involved and they were applied flawlessly without using tape. Wendy was an absolute pleasure to have in my home.. While I worked from home, Wendy worked quietly and efficiently respecting my space. I would hire Wendy again and highly recommend her!

We have used Wendy before and will use her again whenever we need her expertise and talent. She did two different small jobs for my family. First she painted "cow print" around the border on my sons' room. Using her artistic abilities she did a magnificent job. She then highlighted a medallion on our dining room ceiling that really makes it pop from the ceiling. You can tell something was done correctly when it is a big change but looks like it has always been there. Wendy does great work and is a joy to work with.

Wendy came out promptly to examine the space and then gave me a detailed estimate. She also made a special trip out to help me pick colors. Work was accomplished swiftly, efficiently and professionally. The paint job is beautiful and has transformed my home. Wendy is also a genuinely nice person and was a joy to have in my home.

Wendy was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. She came to our house to see the space, and provided a clear, itemized estimate within a few hours of her visit. She answered a million questions, and provided invaluable advice when we had difficulty choosing a paint color. She arrived on time, draped our furniture carefully, and accomplished an amazing amount of work in a short period of time. It only took her two days to paint our entire basement area, which is fairly large, and the upstairs hallway. Her paint edges are clean and sharp and the trim work was impeccable.
Beyond that, she was kind and patient with our two dogs, who were curious about the project and attempted to get in her way more than once. I cannot stress enough how positive this experience was. My husband and I are strict DIYers and were hesitant to hire a painter, but we would absolutely use Wendy's services again!

Wendy was a doll to work with. Upon our first meeting we walked through my home letting me know areas she really didn't think I needed to paint. She was always professional and very thorough with her notes. She later emailed me a very comprehensive breakdown of the cost of every area to include paint and once we decided on a date we were good to go. A little over a week later I made a mistake on one of the finished walls and she came through on a Saturday morning and fixed the issue in a few minutes time. I definitely found the right person to get the job down in a timely manner who had just a wonderful warm professional air about her every time we have seen each other.

I was in a jam time/job completion wise, Wendy came over, gave an estimate, then came the day between the room being finshed being painted and the next day when I began to install the hardwood flooring. She did everything that we asked, very professional, I would not hesitate to have her back for any additional work in the future. What she did I considered "artsy" and was beyond my abilities, she can not only do regular room painting but the fancy stuff as well.

I was pleased and impressed from the very beginning. Wendy gave a lot of time and careful attention to our home when she came to do the estimate. Even at that initial meeting, she gave me some very good ideas for preparing our house to sell. Her estimate was a bit lower than other companies we contacted, and I felt that she would give us much more personal attention during the painting process. Since we moved before the painting was done, she offered to re-attach banisters to the walls and do a few other "above and beyond" tasks that would help us put the house on the market. She also was willing to work with our realtor to transfer keys, etc. when the job was complete. I recommend Wendy fully and enthusiastically to anyone wanting painting done, whatever the size or scope of the job. We had a wonderful experience with her.

Wendy was very pleasant on the phone, returning our call promptly and answering all of our questions. She was very helpful with our color selection and worked with us in making sure that she was able to obtain the color that we had previously picked out. She worked in a very neat and professional manner. When she was finished, she cleaned up the area the she was working in so that it looked much nicer than when she came in!! Wendy was always very professional, friendly and cheerful. Her work is outstanding and I would recommend her to anyone.

We recently moved to Virginia. Wendy was part of a team I gathered to prepare our Harford County townhome for sale. I felt the smartest thing I could do was assemble a team of talented ladies to handle the painting/cleaning/sale as I wouldn't be in the area to watch the project take shape. Wendy did a walk-though with me a day or so after I contacted her and brought with her a gorgeous paint color reported to be popular with realtors. I loved her quirky sense of humor and her instinct that 'just knows.' She gets it - I LOVE working with that kind of insight. I just showed her the house and said 'Have fun with it!" I had a quote in 48 hours and accepted it immediately. Wendy also made time to join me and the rest of the team for a meeting just prior to my departure. (Four women armed with chocolate cake can accomplish a great deal!) The plan was to begin painting the following week. The photos and rave reviews from the realtor and my neighbors started reaching me before the project was even finished. We were able to see the outcome for ourselves when we made a trip back to MD in February. Amazing. Absolutely gorgeous, incredibly tasteful - I was stunned at the transformation. Wendy is very thorough and cares a great deal about the results. Our listing had gone active on Feb 2 - just in time for back to back blizzards that immobilized the area for weeks. Despite that, the first person to see the house put a contract in on it. Factoring out all the 'inaccessible' days due to snow, the house was on the market for about a week. A week - in one of the hardest months of the year in which to sell a house - in a real estate climate that had kept a similar home down the street on the market for FIVE MONTHS ! Wendy turned 'average' in 'awesome'. I was proud of myself for having found the right person for the job and thrilled that I was able to get on her calendar. It was like scoring a highly-coveted appointment with a famous hairdresser who books three months in advance. I was blown away by the world-class results. Clearly the plan worked - the house sold almost immediately!!

"Thank you for your KIND WORDS!!! I enjoyed working with you and the team that you assembled. I am glad that I could get you in the time frame that you needed to get your house on the market. I hope the new owners enjoy their new home. Thank you again for your time, your business and your very kind words. I enjoyed it."

Wendy came out two or three days after I first called her. She worked around my schedule and came after I got home from work. She quickly assessed the situation and measured the spaces that I wanted covered under the estimate. She did the estimate for my bathroom and my son's room. I decided to not get the bathroom painted and instead just wait for a complete remodeling (I'm still questioning that decision after seeing the results of my son's room). She was not able to do thew work right away. (This actually is my preferred way of doing business, as people who are in demand are the ones who do better work.) She was able to schedule me in for two weeks after the estimate, but I didn't get back to her in time and ended up at four weeks. This worked well for me. I gave her full access to my house while I was at work. She was very tidy. So tidy that I know she must have sanded quite a bit to smooth my lumpy walls but I saw very little dust. The work was done in two days. It looks wonderful. I gave her very little direction as far as what I wanted. The way I see it is, you give an artist media, a canvas, and a subject, but you never tell them how to be an artist. She did an excellent job and much better than the way I would have suggested. Wendy will have first right of refusal on any other painting work that we have from now on.

She was wonderful. She did beautiful work, she was pleasant, and she was very clean. She never left anything around and she treated it like it was her own home. She did a really nice job and we would absolutely use her again.
