Sugarloaf was great. They arrived on time and even worked on the weekend to make sure that the project was completed on time. Their workers were very nice and respectful. They explained everything they were doing to the chimney. I would highly recommend them.

Suzanne Neal is lovely to deal with when making an appointment. Jerry came out on time and was delightful. He cleaned our chimney and informed us that we would need a new chimney cap very soon. We opted to wait until the weather got a little warmer before having Jerry climb back up on the room to replace it and low and behold the next we had high winds that blew the cap off. Jerry ordered the cap and was back out within 2 weeks to replace it. I would definitely use Jerry with Sugarloaf Chimney restoration for any chimney or wood stove related work in the future.

He's a real stickler for code and doing things the right way, so he's not cheap. But he's an honest, trustworthy guy in a trade that often attracts shysters, and fun gut to shoot the breeze with.

I was briefed on the condition of the chimney cap and got an explanation as to how the problem could have happened. Jerry even gave me some hints on maintaining the exterior brick and how important it really is to take care of it - details I've never even thought of. Our conversation after the work was done I consider to be very valuable.

Sugarloaf is well-run and professional. They are often busy in Fall and Winter so you have to schedule a few weeks in advance, but they are on time and keep their appointments.

When they came out, they looked over everything and found that the original builder had installed a hole in the floor of the fireplace to brush ashes into. However, instead of going into some type of accessible area, it went down to the basement floor that was completely enclosed in walls. When he knocked a hole into the wall to find out what was in there, we found some 2x4s that were left there during construction. We had those removed, and they repaired the hole in the floor of the fireplace. He also had to replace the liner which was broken. We did not compare prices with anyone else, but the work done was exceptional. He was very pleasant, nice, professional, and seemed very knowledgeable. He certainly went beyond our expectations of what we originally hired him for. He was very concerned with the safety of us and our home.
