WINCHESTER REMODELING

I hired Michael Dickensheets of Winchester Remodeling to do a major renovation of my condo which consisted of a complete redesign of my kitchen (moving the location of every appliance), a full gut of two bathrooms (one with shower and one with bathtub), installing over 20 recessed lights and reframing a door on my laundry closet. Mike was easy to work with and very responsive. I consider my self pretty detail oriented and did a lot of research about renovations prior to hiring Mike. He didn't have many reviews so I asked him for two references who both spoke highly about Mikes work. I am very pleased with the quality of the work and the final result. I would 100% hire Mike again.

excellent. it was tough but he came through for us. his tile work wasn't the best but overall i was very satisfied by his work.

Mike made our master bathroom look new without the project breaking the bank. We wanted our bathroom to look updated for a future sale of our home. Mike did a fabulous job updating it by installing a new floor, a new vanity, a new toilet, a new shower door, and cleaning up our existing tile in our shower. Mike and his crew were always punctual and professional. Whenever there was a problem or a question, Mike called me promptly to discuss how we should proceed. And when our shower door leaked, Mike came over without delay to fix the issue. We would definitely use Winchester Remodeling for our future remodeling needs!

Mike was amazing.  We were so upset with what happened with our previous contractor and he and his workers renewed our faith in good work.  He was great at communicating, quick to respond to questions, and made amazing suggestions on the bathroom.  He work really hard to use the materials that were left by the previous contractor so to try and save on costs for us.  I would recommend Winchester to everyone and if I need any other updates in the future they will be the first I call.

They completely redid both bathrooms from studs out. Main bathroom they removed tub xand replaced with a walkin shower along with all new fixtures. Second bathroom replaced all fixtures and added a shower. All work was wonderful, completed in a timely manner and workers were extremely efficient. Everyday their work area was cleaned and neat. Mike was very easy to work with and gave us several options on finishes. Would certainly recommend Mike to anyone.

provider was prompt provided 3/4 men for the job which took 3 1/2 days. Completely satisfied, they did an excellent job.

Kitchen in 1980-built house needed to be totally re-done.  I completed all of the demo, new measurements, cabinet/molding orders, flooring order/install, and under-cabinet lighting myself.  Hired a plumber to install sink fixtures and ice-maker line. Mike worked with me and my schedule to make sure the cabinet install was completed in less than one week (You don't want to be out of your kitchen too long).  He was on site every day.  A few small things came up that were out of scope for the project and Mike took care of them with no additional cost.  Great to work with - I've recommended him to a number of people.

Mike came to our home and gave us a written estimate with everything broken out (how much was allowed for vanity, shower door, faucets, etc.) which worked out very well as we were able to pick out everything ourselves and purchase the items which were then deducted from his estimate. Most of the items we picked were below his stated allowance. His crew of 3 workers were very efficient and were here when scheduled. They worked diligently. The upstairs guest bathroom was completed first so that we would have facilities to use while the main bath was worked on. His time estimates for each were very close. Each day, all of the materials were cleared up and the area was cleaned. Tarps were spread throughout our house and every effort was made to keep dust and dirt to a minimum. All trash and discarded items were hauled away. We asked Mike if when they did the upstairs bathroom, they would then replace the doors to the bedrooms as well as the bathroom. He gave us a price for this extra work and it was done. We were consulted at every point and were able to ask questions and make suggestions. A few snags came up, but were handled in a very timely and professional manner. There are a few finishing touches that need to be done as the shower door and shower sheet had to be special order ordered and just recently came in. The work should be competed by this coming Monday.  We have received many compliments on both baths from friends and relatives.
 
Mike and his crew, Sergio and Trent, were extremely easy to deal with and we felt that whatever work they did was to the highest degree of workmanship. I would not hesitate to recommend this company for their workmanship, work ethic, and friendliness

it went so smoothly.  mike arrived on time, on the day promised, and proceeded quietly and courteously through our home onto our outdoor spaces.  he carefully loaded the materials into the space.  it was an extremely hot couple of days worth of work, but he persevered without delay.  he is very neat and clean while he works.  he asked if he could leave materials on our balcony for the next day and assured me he would take them all with him if it was not convenient for me to have them overnight.  he played a small radio while he worked and asked me to tell him if it bothered me or if the volume needed adjustment.  the finished product looks perfect!
i would recommend this young man to anyone.  he is a delight to have working in your home.

The price that Winchester Remodeling gave me was right on. They were always very punctual, they covered the stairs and protect the dressing. They cleaned up after themselves, the work was done on time and didn't cut any corners. It was a very good experience.

I ordered all of my own cabinets through Home Depot and used Mike to install/level the cabinets over hardwood.  I did all of the prep-work by removing the original cabinets, fixing the floorboards, and having the wiring in the bulkhead pulled up after he removed the bulkhead.  He started on a Wednesday and finished the work the next Tuesday.  All of the cabinets were level for granite to be installed.  He put in a few outlets where I didn't have them before as well. He returned after the granite was installed to finalize the backsplash.  I had ordered extra under cabinet molding and molding for above the cabinets - he installed all of this as well.  I do a lot of my own remodeling work, but I've recommended Mike to my friends.

First, I'd like to say in all the years we have used outside contractors, Mike is the first to be truly prompt and punctual with all of his appointments and work days. He was easy to reach and showed up when he said he'd be there to work. That goes a long way in our household. Second, he did a wonderful job transforming our bathroom from a 1980's blah space to a more contemporary room that guest will see. We purchased most of the materials and Mike installed them. He was easy to get along with and flexible with changes or requests. We would definitely recommend him to others.

Mike was great to work with. He responded quickly to calls and emails, started less than a week after getting me an estimate, and finished the project in about 6 work days.
I received other estimates that were slightly lower than Mike's, but his responsiveness and thoroughness when he came out for the estimate convinced me to hire him. Since wrapping up at my house, my girlfriend and I now have him lined up to do some work on her kitchen.

Mike Dickensheets was superb to work with, and completed the job well within budget and on time.  Mike helped us with critical decision-making during the pre-construction phase, ensuring that we ordered fixtures that fit and appropriate tile.  He uncomplainingly obtained permits from city (some contractors I interviewed didn't want to bother), easily managed the electrical and plumbing subcontractors, and worked with us on changes and additions.  He kept the work site clean and debris free allowing us to continue to use the master bedroom, and virtually prevented dust from spreading throughout the house (no small task in demolition projects).  When a minor plumbing problem related to the project surfaced several months after job completion, Mike quickly investigated and promptly had his plumber make repairs.  I can't say enough good about this experience and I hope we can work with Mike again for future projects.

Winchester has done all of the work and has done an excellent job. Mike (the main guy) is really friendly and helpful. He was able to work with us to figure out where we could save money and where we shouldn't cheap out as well as offering helpfull suggestions when we didn't quite know what we wanted. They work very quickly without sacrificing quality. We plan on redoing one of our bathrooms next and we will definitely go back to Winchester again for that. 

Winchester Remodeling mainly focuses on baths and kitchens, but also has general construction capabilities.  The work in our house was messy and involved delays as we wanted to be sure the roof was actually water-tight before replacing drywall and insulation.  We tacked on additional work as time went on.  Furthermore, the work in the master bedroom was disruptive and had to be coordinated around unexpected house guests as well as both homeowners working from home.  Mike was very accommodating and easy to work with, and did a good job.  He took care to minimize spread of dust and debris, and cleaned up after every day's work.  Because the project grew as time passed we don't know if another contractor would have done the same work at a lower cost.  In the end we were very pleased with the outcome.  Related, we requested his proposal for remodeling a bathroom, and his price was comparable to other contractors but he won out since building trust on the first project.  I look forward to writing another review that addresses his core business of bathroom remodeling.

Mike is reliable, honest, professional, and precise. He does quality work, provides objective consultation, and takes extra care keeping his work space clean and tidy. We felt very comfortable working with Mike and were extremely happy with the results. Our bathroom looks fabulous and we would use him again for future projects.

Mike is the opposite of everything you fear in having to deal with a contractor.  He's responsive, punctual, honest and most importantly does quality work.  Mike not only cares about how perfect the project turns out, but also how clean his work area is upon completion.  If you're looking for a no hassle contractor with reasonable pricing and turnaround times, this is your man.

They were recommended to me by my friends. They were extremely good. They were the most efficient and reasonably priced. They were incredibly efficient and very neat. They were breaking through a wall and were very good with protecting the rest of the kitchen. I liked what they did. They had also done drywall work for me some time back.

At first the smaller size of this company was concerning, however after meeting with Mike (the owner) and Max (his right-hand) I was comfortable with the company and workers. The quality of work, personalities of the workers, and the way they treated my home and family - all exceeded my expectations. We are already planning on using them for our next project. It's not often that you find a contractor these days who values doing right by your customer, the way Winchester does.
