On February 12th, we were told the doors would "be here in about 3 weeks." That would have been about two weeks past the contract deadline, but we appreciated the notice.
On March 3rd, we were told to expect the doors to be installed Saturday, March 7th. Now that we had an official installation date, we made sure to be home that day. We waited all day. But no one contacted us that weekend regarding the installation. We emailed to ask for an update.
A few days passed. On Wednesday, March 11th, WEACO told us a second date for the installation - they said they would come Saturday, March 14th. However, on March 14th, due to rain, they called and said the installation needed to be rescheduled. We understood, since the rain and cold weather that day could make it difficult. We were able to reschedule the installation to Friday, March 20th, so we adjusted out schedules and made sure to be home that day as well.
Friday March 20th, came and went, and *again*, no one from WEACO contacted us. Another day spent at home waiting, without any notice regarding WEACO's nonappearance on a day we all agreed upon.
Throughout this process, we tried to be patient, but, at this point, we were a *month* past the agreed contract deadline for the installation, and WEACO had *twice* been no-shows for scheduled installation days without any communication from the company. Incredibly frustrated at this point, I detailed these points in another email to WEACO. We told them we either needed the doors installed ASAP or we needed a full refund so we could go with another contractor.
Apparently, that email finally got things moving, and two days later, Sunday, March 22nd, they came and installed the security storm doors. The actual installation only took about three hours.
So, although we are very happy with the quality of the security storm doors, we experienced several frustrating communication breakdowns and delays from the company. Based on this experience, I doubt I would use them again, and I would not recommend them.
