April checked the color underneath my hair for the same color brown. She put the color on and it looked very red when I looked at it. I said I did not want red, I have brown hair. She said, let me do the work, once the highlights are in you won't even notice them. I felt trapped. She washed the color out and blow dried it. Then she put the highlights in. Tons of them. She told me 30 minutes. It was past 30 minutes and she did not check them so I asked someone to get her. She came over and was very rude and said they weren't finished. I haven't had tonor put on my hair in 10 years and asked her not to. She said OK. She then said she would have to put tonor on my hair and it will cost extra. I said, you should include it in the price and she ignored me, pushed the swivel chair around very hard and said "Let's go to the sink." She was very rough washing my hair and put a tonor on it. Then she said, "You are being rude to me and I'm going to get someone else to finish. She never got anyone and my scalp was burning, so I called for a manager. The manager said that April never asked anyone to come and take over. Someone finally washed my hair and I told the manager that the roots were red in their light. The manager said it looked fine. I went home and the roots are PURPLE, and the highlights that she did were orange. I need to warn people about this place and April. Very frightening experience whe you go there and trust the person who is doing your hair. No resolution has been offered.after I paid $200 to get my hair destroyed.

February 20, the date of my massage, is my wedding anniversary. This year, 2013, was my 20th anniversary, but I celebrated that milestone alone because my husband and I have been separated for two years. I decided to splurge and treat myself to a long massage at Studio 921 that day. And I was so happy I did. Massages can be hit or miss, and I would have been very upset if I'd spent lots of money for mediocre service. But my session was fantastic. My masseuse was wonderful. The salon is beautiful. And the staff are great. I'll definitely use them again.

I like their spa there.  I have used them for numerous things.  I use them for pedicures and manicures.  I usually go there for a massage.  My favorite thing there is a hot massage.  The staff is always really nice and professional.

It is in a convenient location and has a beautiful facility. There is a great restaurant across the street and it is very professional; the people there who do the services are very good. I will use them again in the future.

Everything I've had done here has been excellent.  I'm especially impressed with Nilam who has given both my mother and me excellent facials.  It never fails that I receive compliments from strangers on how "glowing" and/or "flawless" my skin looks following one of Nilam's facials.  I go back again and again!

I was very stressed out before my June wedding and in desperate need of a massage. The maseuse, Ashley, at Studio 921 was great. She helped me calm my nerves and put things in perspective. :)

WONDERFUL cut by Ashleigh. Just moved to Baltimore and had a prior cut at another salon that was completely different from the style I was used to and that I had requested. With Ashleigh, just described the style that I had before and showed her a photo and she immediately got what I wanted. Did a fabulous job and I'm so pleased. What a relief to find such a talented stylist in Baltimore!

She was careful and did a fine job, but her particular style is not to my taste. She asked about where I am feeling tension or difficulties (lower back especially). She did a lot of 'holds' which just meant stopping the massage to hold a particular hand position for about 10 seconds. I think there was supposed to be stretching involved during these holds, but perhaps not. I wonder if maybe she was being too gentle because it was a prenatal massage. I did not feel stretching during these times, it was as if she just froze periodically. I think her style would be best for someone who is into myofascial release or someone who prefers a very light touch. Please note that this was not a bad massage, it was just not my style preference.

I got there at 11:45 for my 12:00 massage appointment. I was greeted at the front desk by stares from about 5 different women behind the desk. After checking me into their computer, one of the women showed me upstairs to the locker room. It was a very small room, the size of a walk-in closet, with lockers on the wall and a small couch/seating area. I was instructed to change into my robe and slippers, lock my things in the locker and then wait in the 'relaxation room.' The first thing I noticed was a lot of loud talking and laughing coming from the 'relaxation' room. I changed into my robe and slippers, noting that I had two left foot slippers, and they were dingy/yellowing and very large (sizing was never discussed). The robe was nice and soft and seemed clean. The locker room also had a restroom area with two stalls and a shower next to them. There was also a sauna. The restroom area had bright lighting, and there was a great deal of water on the floor that seemed to be coming out of the shower. There was toilet paper mixed in, making a very unappealing picture. The sinks were interesting and modern bowl-type sinks. I waited in the very loud 'relaxation' room for twenty minutes (until 12:05) and then got a bit antsy. The comfortable seating was all taken, and I was relegated to a stool near the wall. There was water available in a pitcher with pretty glasses stacked nearby. There was a great deal of street noise coming in--cars, motorcycles and music. I was a bit annoyed that it was loud, and I was also annoyed that nobody had come to explain the delay. When 12:20 rolled around I was just about ready to leave. The woman who was about to do my massage, Jenny, came and told me that the delay was because the couple who was getting a massage before me had fallen asleep. She was very nice but I did feel that this was something that the spa could have accounted for by having an extra room available. When I explained that I did have an appointment later in the afternoon, she decided to take me back into a massage room (I'm not sure how this worked, since I thought it was not yet available?). By now it was 12:25. Her original suggestion was to cut the massage short--but I thought I could still make it in the time we had. It took her quite a while to get her tools ready, but the massage itself was very well done. I could tell that she was well trained and she was very good at what she did, concentrating on the areas we discussed before she started. Her music was nice, but it did not drown out the outside noise (laughing, cars/traffic sounds, general loud wooden-floor building sounds). I did really enjoy the massage, though. In general I feel like the spa itself is rather dingy--perhaps it is just getting old, perhaps attention to detail is just not important here. I did not feel that the spa was as clean as it could have been. The massage was great, and I would go to this therapist again if she were at another location.

They really do a wonderful job there. I am always pleased with the quality of my haircut. I would recommend this place to everyone. The service is fast and friendly, and they really know what they are doing.
