I sadly was a tenant in two places run by Staffordshire. I would advise everyone to avoid at all costs. Tom and Aaron were always very slow to respond, and I always got the feeling they were legally doing very shady stuff. Once my roommate was having plumbing trouble. Staffordshire sent out a plumber. A few days later they sent him an email stating what he owed. Staffordshire present him with a bill that they themselves had written up with the amount they requested just copied and pasted onto. When my roommate asked for the real bill, the one from the plumbing company, he never heard back after many contact attempts. Eventually he just gave up. The last place I lived was where the real issues were. Aaron said he would not let my roommate sublet because it "was too much paperwork and a hassle." Not sure the legality of this. Furthermore, a pipe in our AC unit froze over, meaning water began flooding the tray that the AC sits in. It took WEEKS for Staffordshire to get someone out to look at it, and by that time the ceiling below the AC (as it was on the second floor) was soaked. Chucks of soggy drywall would fall to the ground daily. The HVAC guy came and fixed it eventually, but the rest of the time I was there the ceiling was never fixed. What took the cake was my roommates nor I ever got an information about our security deposit after move out. Aaron insisted things were sent. Which was not the case. We told Aaron this multiple times but then he just stopped responding. We didn't even receive an itemized list, which is illegal, but by this time we were too angry and exhausted with Staffordshire that we just gave up. Clearly they were doing illegal things as just yesterday (9/18/2019) I received a letter from the Federal Trade Commission. Here's the link to their violations: [*** Link removed ***] Ultimately I am disappointed that we didn't get a lawyer, because people are continuing to get burned by this company.

I would never recommend Staffordshire Realty after my experience renting from them for 1 year. Aaron was the primary person I dealt with after renting the property and he is unprofessional, unreasonable, and aggressive when he is challenged on these behaviors. Shortly after moving in (~1.5 months), I woke up to find a large area of black mold growing on my bedroom ceiling with water soaking through the dry wall. I promptly contacted Staffordshire realty with pictures and despite this it took over 3 months to get the mold removed and stop the ceiling from leaking copious amounts of water. Ultimately, the room became uninhabitable because of the water, mold, and smell (see photos). I requested multiple times over the course of these 3 months for the mold/water damage to be fixed and an inspector come to check for mold without any success. I ended up contacting the city to mediate the dispute and despite, the city's attempts to contact Staffordshire Realty via phone and certified letter, they never responded. Finally, when I attempted to get out of my lease and move because of these issues, Aaron became aggressive in addition to being negligent. He threatened the following in an email: "For us to allow you to end your lease you would have to pay a fee of $1000, pay rent until the new tenant's lease starts, forfeit the security deposit, and the new tenant would have to be approved and signed a lease with us before we could allow you out of your lease” Additionally, he stated in his email that “For us to allow you to start looking for are placement tenant we must receive the $1000 amount first. Once that payment is received and cleared, then you are able to start looking for a replacement tenant.” Since I had zero trust left in Staffordshire Realty to operate honestly, I ultimately decided to continue to pay rent until the end of my lease but remove my belongings from the property. Once Aaron found out about this, despite paying my bills/utilities 100% and on time (to maintain the apt so pipes didn't freeze), he started to call me multiple times in a row without any voicemail. i would email him in response, yet he would never email back. Just continue to call me 3-4 times back to back. In the end, I reached the end of my lease and had $900 taken out of my security deposit for "cleaning" despite leaving the apartment in the same condition I rented it in. I only hope my experience helps someone else if they are thinking about renting from Staffordshire Realty. It will cost you fiscally and emotionally from the upset having to deal with them.

To put it bluntly, my experience with Staffordshire Realty was horrible, and unprofessional. I, along with my roommate, leased an apartment from them for a year. In that year we experienced everything that could possibly go wrong with an apartment, and the worst property management service I could imagine. We attempted to communicate all of our problems with the property manager, and on many occasions, we were either outright ignored or belittled. Starting with the oven that was broken upon move in, and the washer that was not correctly installed. Which led to our first broken refrigerator that it took a week to replace. There was a downed service wire in the back alley that most of the electricians that came informed us about, and it was never taken care of. In January our pipes burst, and we were without water for almost 3 weeks, during which water started to come out of our electrical sockets in the kitchen and the basement flooded. We were also informed by the plumber that there were exposed wires in the unfinished part of the basement, these exposed wires were supposed to be connected to one of the baseboard heaters. During that time, no one communicated to us what was going to be done about the water until the last minute. Throughout the winter we noticed that our heating was not working correctly, and it was consistently below freezing throughout the entire apartment even with us having all the baseboard heaters on high. We put a thermostat in our kitchen, and it was on average, 34 degrees, which legally it must be at least 68 degrees during cold and freezing temperatures. When we originally made Staffordshire Realty aware of this, they ignored our email and phone call, so we escalated to sending a notice in regular and certified mail. They never received either of those letters, and both were returned to us, which led us to believe that their address listed is not legitimate. When we finally sent this letter to them via email they responded, accusing us of black mail. After that we were determined to just ride out our lease, and during those last few months we again had another broken refrigerator, which it took them a month to ever acknowledge, and we did not have hot water for a week. I would highly recommend never working with this company.

Aaron and his team have been excellent to work with. He is professional and responsive and we would recommend him and the company highly for any homeowners in the area thinking of renting their home. Ever since the first meeting we felt he completely understood what we wanted and have never regretted the decision to hire Staffordshire for their services.

When my wife and I moved to California, we did not want to part with our beautiful Charles Village row house. We contracted Staffordshire Realty to manage the property in 2013 and Aaron and his team have been a pleasure to work with for the last 4 years. Aaron takes good care of our investment, handling all minor maintenance issues promptly and letting us pick our level of involvement for the big stuff. When there was a serious roof leak this past summer, Aaron let us know it needed immediate attention and gave us the option of finding our own roofer or handling it himself. Being in CA, we opted for him to take care of it and he did ASAP. Aaron takes care of us on the financial side as well. The property has never been vacant and he consistently finds high-quality tenants paying top-dollar. All fees and any expenses are itemized and explained each month. We look forward to working with Aaron for years to come.

't want to manange a manager. I dont' and wouldn't. I'd recommend him and his company to anyone.Working with Staffordshire Realty has been an absolute pleasure. Aaron Fischer's runs this company with all the professionalism one would expect or need. He is very thorough. After he emails me about a situaution or concern (photos and estimates included at times) There is very little to discuss. He is skilled at selecting clients responsive to questions and gives thorough updates. I simply watch the checks appear. Its a good fit. I don

Aaron has been an outstanding find on Angie's list. He has taken care of my home as if it were part of his portfolio. He has also found excellent tenants to take care of my home.
At the end of the summer, a tenant informed Aaron that he would not be renewing, after the appropriate time, and Aaron was on top of it. He began a search for a new tenant and had the home occupied with no break in service.
He detailed the home maintenance needs and assisted with sourcing the contractors. The work they did was excellent.
Staffordshire has been a great agency to work with.

Aaron is a true professional. I had to relocate as a result of new job. I saw his ratings on Angieslist and contacted him to see if he could rent my home. Aaron toured my house and described in detail the service he would be able to provide. He addressed all maintenance concerns and prep before my tenants moved in. He vets applicants with a fine tooth comb and ensures payments are collected in a timely manner. He is accessible, professional and proactively addresses my concerns as a new landlord. I would highly recommend his services. We have remained in constant contact.

He contacted us on the 5th of February. He had an appointment on the 6th to 1-5 PM. We billed them 89.95 for the service call. We rescheduled for Saturday. We went out to do the diagnostic, but he's refusing to pay.

Aaron @Stafforshire Realty has done an outstanding job finding great tenants and keeping everybody in the loop. He found us tenants in 3 weeks and they moved in 30 days later. The transactions were straightforward and not a hassle like many agencies with all their stupid fees.
We had an issue almost immediately where the upstairs bathroom leaked and ruined the ceiling in a spare bedroom. He immediately dispatched a plumber to repair the toilet and his work crew fixed the ceiling so well you can't even tell it happened and the price was excellent. His crew even calked the upstairs shower to be sure of no further leaks - all the work completed was really excellent.
Aaron was responsive, courteous and cost effective to the needs of the tenants and the owners.
Staffordshire Realty also has a great accounting/invoicing system. It's modern and streamlined. Nice.

I contacted Staffordshire Realty after reading previous reviews on Angie's List. Aaron is very responsive and professional. He screens potential tenants very carefully. I feel very comfortable leaving my beloved Baltimore row house in his hands while I'm living out of state.

Excellent service from Aaron. He was always punctual, provided a thorough explanation and timeline of the process of renting out a property, and on top of that, his rates are competitive with the other companies. He has always gotten back to me quickly. He seems to be knowledgeable about the market and is motivated to go above and beyond what is necessary to get the property filled. So far, I have nothing but positive experiences with him. I highly recommend him.

I hired Staffordshire to manage my Federal Hill townhouse in the fall of 2012 when I relocated for work. I've enjoyed working with them thus far and would recommend them to anyone searching for a property management company in Baltimore. This was my first time dealing with a management company, and Aaron (the owner) was friendly and knowledgable--I ended up choosing Staffordshire because of his efforts to explain the process and their overall responsiveness to my requests. I've been happy with how actively they've been involved throughout the process. Before I moved they did a full inspection of the house and recommended a few repairs and updates (refinishing the hardwood, installing new vinyl windows), and did some touch-up painting for a good price. They found tenants fairly quickly and I've had no issues with them since. I receive my rental payments directly into my bank account on time each month, and they're always quick to respond when I have a question. A+

Aaron was very professional. Within just a few minutes he had responded to my initial inquiry via email. He explained his terms, as well as, the and quot;ins and outsand quot; of property management. Being a new property and quot;ownerand quot; I really had no idea what to expect. He called me immediately and answered all of my questions.
When it came time for the visit, he arrived on time, and seemed very professional in the assessment of my property. He evaluated each level and room of my house, and also made note of the condition of all the building construction and materials as he went through the property. My house is very old (1950) and he was familiar with the layout and construction of the period, and had contractors who were ready and able to help with any updating or remodeling needs I had.
All in all, I would say he was very thorough and professional!

I contacted Staffordshire Realty about managing my 2-unit building near Patterson Park. The owner was quick to respond and explained their process to me in detail. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the Baltimore real estate market in general. After speaking to a few different companies, I decided to go with Staffordshire. They had the best rates of everyone I contacted and I felt good about their approach. They quickly rented one vacant unit. The second unit's lease was up a few months later. Staffordshire handled the move-out inspection and suggested I do some minor repairs and repaint the unit. Their contractors did some light drywall work, replaced a few cracked kitchen tiles, and repainted the entire apartment for a reasonable price. I was very impressed with the quality of their work. They quickly found a new tenant and were able to raise the rent by $150. I've had absolutely no problems and things have gone very smoothly under their management. I feel confident in leaving my property under their care, and would highly recommend them for your management needs.

My girlfriend and I recently moved in together. She was from out of town and I had a small studio apartment, so we needed something larger. Looking for affordable, yet decent apartments in central Baltimore was frustrating on a good day. We found one of Staffordshire Realty's apartments on craiglist. The agent very responsive and the most approachable property management person we encountered. He showed us a few different properties, was very straightforward, and even offered to show us some of the local area shops and transportation stops. Once we agreed upon one of his apartments, he was very flexible with us and even let us move some of our larger furniture in early. This was hands down the most hassle free and welcoming moving process I have ever experienced.

They quickly rented the house after our move and we've had no problems since. The owner Aaron is straightforward, reasonable and always prompt to respond. I'm not a phone person so I appreciate that he always responds to my emails on the same day. He is very knowledgeable and even made a few small repairs before the tenants moved in at no cost. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for someone to manage their property in the city.
