If you have ever been taken for a ride by your insurance company, then you know how frustrating it can be. Ron has helped me every step of the way. From knowing what to say to the insurance company to try and get results, to ensuring that pricing was fair and transparent before beginning work, I have felt comfortable with RPS when I was beginning to lose faith completely. The work has been high quality, and I trust that I will not ever have the same issue again. RPS is the one to call, you won’t be disappointed.

Not great. Cut down a tree that they were not supposed to, continuously called to ask for more money for the next job without finishing the first job, never emptied the dumpster that's been sitting in the driveway filled for a month now, completely blocked off access to the garage door which is our access point to the house. When we refused to pay him for the next job, since the first job was nowhere near completion, he threw away potted plants and then smashed the pots the plants were in and left them laying in the driveway. Additionally, they accepted a side job for our next-door neighbor and completed that while our yard was deemed 'unworkable' due to rain.

RPS is the absolute best choice if you are struggling with water damage. They are experts, and are a true pleasure to work with. My basement flooded, and the water damage was overwhelming and stressful. RPS literally saved the day. They cleaned every ounce of sewage and water out of my basement, and made it perfectly dry and fresh. They know exactly what to do in a crisis. They gave me back peace of mind.

Ron, RPS owner, came to my home and thoroughly evaluated my above-ground water seepage issues. He discussed needed work with me, I agreed, signed contract, and paid deposit. His crew came out to do the work in a timely fashion, Ron called me to ensure I was satisfied with the work before he accepted my final payment. A couple days later I noticed a couple of work areas that needed additional reinforcement. I called Ron & he came out himself to perform the reinforcement work, telling me to call him any time I find an issue missed in the initial post-completion walk-around. Given I found a problem & Ron came out to completely resolve the issue himself, walking me through the adjusted repairs to be sure I was satisfied with his work, I can say he is true to his word. I trust Ron and would definitely call him again for home repairs.

RPS did an amazing job with our flooded basement. Immediately after we called them, they showed up and in one day had the entire mess cleaned out, wet sheetrock removed and all the drying equipment set up. They did a great job with the restoration as well. They showed up promptly every day, Ron was in constant communication to let us know what they were up to, and they did a very professional job. All floors, paint and molding were done neatly and perfectly. They are very knowledgeable in their work, and it shows. Also, RPS takes care of all the insurance red tape, which saved us quite a headache. I would HIGHLY recommend Ron and his team. Their work has far surpassed our expectations.

Ron was fantastic! We had a pipe burst in our bathroom which was running just for 10 to 15 minutes but enough to flood first floor and basement. I'm a contractor my self and brought guys to come over to shop vac entire area for hours straight. I called Ron as well and he said he would even stop that same night. I can't even tell you the breathe of fresh air from his knowledge as he came in and showed me I was wasting time and money . It turns out what I thought to save a couple of dollars which thanks to Ron I was able to get over $70k in damage all covered under my insurance. Even better, when my adjuster came out days later, he was very impressed with our remediation company as he said they knew the proper cut outs which makes the adjuster job easier as well. I don't believe I have enough space on here to describe my appreciation to Ron and his RPS team for saving me in a time if need...... Thanks Ron ......

I called Ron to help after a flood in my basement and after another company had done an exceedingly poor job with mitigation that was not according to industry guidelines. He helped walk me through the process with my insurance so that I could get the work re-done properly. I am grateful that he stepped in, as I wouldn't know what I could rightfully ask the insurance to cover. and how to handle the process. He met with the agent and myself together and helped us negotiate with the insurance company. When everything was approved he came and did all the mitigation properly. His workers are professional and courteous and did an excellent job.

To borrow a phrase from the late Charles Dickens, this is a Tale of Two Companies. The first one did my remediation work. They showed up on a Sunday afternoon, the day of the Ellicott City Flood in 2018 and did the most essential work that day, namely the removal of wet/soiled carpet. The following day they returned and finished the work. They stripped drywall and insulation two feet from the floor where needed. They treated the floors and exposed walls with antimicrobial. They set up fans and dehumidifiers. Over the next three days, the supervisor stopped by to monitor the drying progress. He very helpfully discussed root-cause remediation concepts with me. And when he packed up the drying equipment, I felt I had been very well served. Then the other company sent me the invoice. Well actually they didn't send it to me but rather to my insurance adjuster. As the adjuster did his own work-up, based on his own site visit, he forwarded me their invoice, advising me to take a good look at it, because he saw some discrepancies. So I analyzed the bill, and I found numerous material errors, including: o Incorrect square footage used on work items (some over, some under) o Services billed that had not been performed (and some services not billed that had been performed) on a room-by-room basis o Services billed that were being done while billing an hourly rate (double billing) o Services misrepresented (e.g. removal of wall plates listed as electrical work and trim removal listed as finish carpentry). As I corrected the bill, I made over fifty adjustments. About three dozen of these corrections were to my benefit. The rest went their way. But I was mainly concerned with correctness, so I fixed all of them. I then submitted an Offer in Compromise to settle the matter. I initially submitted by e-mail. The response was belligerent and unprofessional, (e.g. they challenged my right to even raise these questions at all, citing that I am not a public adjuster). They never raised any issue with the corrections themselves, insisting instead that I settle the entire balance at once, citing their contract. So on October 12, I sent him a final Offer In Compromise with a check attached. I sent it certified and also advised then by e-mail that it was coming. As of today, the check has not cleared, and the return receipt has not arrived. At this point I an not sure how this will end. I will revise this review as the situation evolves.

We suffered a major flood to our home. I called up RPS on a Saturday evening. He was there within a few hours and helped us minimize the damage and plan for repair. He called me throughout the months long process to explain what the next steps would be and update me. He also worked closely with our insurance to get way more than I thought we would get (and way more than the initial insurance estimate) for the repairs. I was so impressed with his careful work that I hired him to remodel two of our bathrooms as well and do several other jobs around the house like replacing a storm door. He also did some major work to our home to minimize our risk of future floods. I had another company specializing in waterproofing work come out to check his work and they reported that his drains were better than what they would have done and wouldn't change anything. I was very pleased. His workers were all courteous and respectful and left the worksite clean.

We recently used RPS for major home repairs in our house after significant water damage. We have used him before for renovations as well and as per usual Ron provided excellent quality - great communication, a real pleasure to use all around. We have beautiful house updates!

I initially called RPS when our water heater cracked and flooded the basement. Ron's team came out promptly and handled everything from packing up our belongings, removing water damaged materials, flood cutting the walls, and treating for mold. Everything was very up front, and the guys stayed to get everything done, with no extra charges for needing to stay late to get it all done. Our experience was so good we decided to go with RPS for the rebuilding of the basement as well. Ron was a big help with the insurance company as well, getting us more money than we would have gotten on our own.

In all cases, the only surprises were pleasant ones (which I realize is hardly ever said about any project). RPS always looks for ways to provide increased value, within the contracted price, beyond what was specifically contracted for. His workers are competent and friendly people, and he chooses any subcontractor very carefully. Obviously, we wouldn't keep on bringing RPS back and having his sign in our yard perpetually if he weren't someone who is a delight to work with.

After a flood that compromised our basement, RPS stepped in to mitigate the damage and restore the entire basement. The work was professional and careful, and the crew was well-trained and reliable. This company takes pride in its workmanship and the owner works hard to assure the satisfaction of his customers.
