When he left, the pump was working fine. I rarely use the basement bathroom other to give my dog a bath. Fast forward to one week later (sunday) and the toilet was used twice and the sink. The pump kicked on and wouldn't turn off. When I called him (monday morning) to tell him the problem wasn't fixed he accused me of lying in that 'you were using that bathroom more than just yesterday- it has been a week.' I was offended and gently reminded him that I have 4 other bathrooms in my home that I use and don't travel down to the basement. He refused to come and take another look unless I pay an additional $80 to visit. I did not think that was fair in that he was only here for 20 minutes and supposedly 'fixed' the problem. His lack of professionalism has lost my business. Accusing me of lying on bathroom use? He had said 'you see, people call me a month later telling me thier problem wasn't fixed the day after I left.' I replied, 'it has been one week and I just used that bathroom yesterday.' I am a single female homeowner and believe this is a man trying to take advantage of that as I don't have any knowledge on basement pumps!
