Arrived on time, and removed old windows and replaced with glass block. Everything was precisely what I expected, and there were no problems.

We replaced two old vented windows with glass block windows in our basement utility room. One required a section for a dryer vent. From initial contact to final install the service was fantastic. Scott was great to work and communicative during the whole process -- from coordinating dates for the estimate to final install (had to reschedule install because of inclement weather). We considered the cost very reasonable. The quality of the product made the utility room more aesthetically pleasing. The installers were timely, great to work with, and answered all our questions. Would definitely hire them again. Wish all our home improvement projects went this smoothly. Thanks for your product and your superior service!

Everything went smooth from estimate through installation. A very professional firm with superb craftsmen performed the installation. I am very happy with the final product.

The process went smoothly from the estimate appointment to the installation. It was a pleasure to deal with this small family owned business.

They were great, and the window looks terrific. It was a simple installation, but they were right on time, and cleaned up after completely. The window looks so much nicer.

After obtaining 3 bids from different vendors, Scott Fava provided outstanding, prompt communication through the whole process. His team came out ahead of time to take exterior measurements when I doubted the accuracy of mine. Scott helped me with a design for the double window and was willing to accommodate any custom changes needed. He also provided useful feedback on where vents should be located and if they were needed at all. MD Glass Block was willing to work with multiple financing options, very patient and professional staff. Windows were installed on the date agreed in advance, and the trustworthy team disposed of our old windows, installed the new ones so fast I didn't even know the job had been done. Fantastic work! The end result is one of the most beautiful features of our home and much to our liking. Great price for the quality! Highly recommended!!

The estimate and installation went well. I did not have any additional problems with leaking, although I moved a few months after. The glass block was a good selling feature for the security and overall appearance.

The problem was that the summer's heavy rain storms defeated the storm drains in my neighborhood, causing water damage in basements. I discovered that one of my basement window well drains was backing up, filling the window well above where the vent was. The glass block window prevented water from coming in, but it came in around the vent seals (The vent can be opened and closed).
Where the drain is backing up is the root problem, but the immediate solution was to seal the vent permanently with sealing caulk, or replace the window with a ventless glass block window. I chose the latter, and, although expensive, it turned out to be the right decision. MD Glass Block is a small, family owned business with experienced installers. Knocking out an existing glass block window is not a pretty job, but these guys knew exactly what they were doing and did a great job. No mess, no fuss. I hardly had to do any cleaning up. They were quick efficient and left no mess. The new window looks good and strong and fits perfectly. Now I just have to find out where the drain is backing up. In the meantime I should be protected from flooding through that window.

We are very pleased. All the personnel were friendly, cheerful, and polite. The work was done neatly and quickly. The new windows are much more attractive than what was replaced.

I neglected to write this review after the service so I have forgotten the owner's name who came out to speak to me about his product but I had a wonderful experience.
I was undecided about using glass block as i was afraid several things, one of them is the amount of light that would be entering the cellar. He told me not to worry, that some say the amount of light is more than a typical window and he was right. I am very happy with the look of the window from the inside and out.
I had a concern about the delivery and installation time, my window was broken into so I had just a cardboard to protect my cellar from the elements and burglary. I am happy to note that MD Block took my fears into consideration and was able to get my window installed fairly quickly.
I'd recommend MD Block for price, quality and service.

It was a great experience from the get-go. There were more choices than I realized for the patterns in the block. The estimated time frame for installation was set and delivery was right on time. The job was done neatly and the clean up was great. I am extremely happy with the resulting look and light. Very professional and pleasant folks to deal with.

First let me say that I love the windows and that overall this was a positive experience.
Their price was pretty much the same as Baltimore Glass Block. I chose them because a local window company told me that they used MD Glass Block to fabricate any glass block orders they got. That spoke volumes to me and put MD Glass Block's fabrication process/method above the competition.
The communication, estimate, scheduling were all wonderful. The installers arrived just after the late end of the estimated window (e.g.: 10 - 2 and they arrived around 2:30 I think - I didn't write it down and don't recall the exact time)
My only disappointments with the whole process and product were the caulking and the clean-up. The caulking is messy (installation not fabrication). There are finger dents and some peaks and uneven spread. I pointed this out to the installer. He said that he was renowned for being a great caulker. I said that maybe he was having an off day :). He said that they had just switched to a new kind of caulk - maybe that was it. He told me that after it dried I could sand it. They had been there for a long time and I could tell that he was just ready to get out of here. Sorry - I just paid almost $1,000 - I really didn't want to have to do anything!
I found a few nails on the floor inside and outside on the driveway that didn't make me too happy.
When they parked the truck on the street, I went out and told them that the windows were going in the back and that they were welcome to pull in the driveway. They said they'd stay on the street since the truck was leaking oil. I was glad they told me but not too glad to see a rather sizable oil stain on the road when they pulled away.
I checked "no" on using them again because there was no "maybe" option. I still believe that they did a great job on the window fabrication and believe in their method so I MIGHT use them again if I had some warm fuzzy that the installation would be cleaner.

I am very happy with the work they did. They showed up on time, I had o work, so they had the house to themselves while the work was performed. The workers were polite and did a great job. Removing the old windows, installing the new. Other then the new windows, there was no sign they'd been there. They explained everything to me, hauled away all the old stuff, cleaned any debris that may have fallen during the removal. The salesman that came out was professional and friendly. I spoke with Scott n the office a couple times and then the actual installers. All were top notch and I would recommend this company to anyone.

The representative who came to my house for the measurements was polite,
very professional, and punctual. No sales pressure whatsoever. The
three men who came to my house to install the windows were also on time,
professional, and polite, even though the temperature outside was 9
degrees F that morning. They did a beautiful job and I would recommend
this company highly.

My husband and I have had some bad experiences with contractors in the past so doing business withD Glass Block was truly a refreshing experience! From the beginning until the end of this job, everyone from the company was extremely professional while focusing on delivering a quality product with great customer service. We got a quick accurate, estimate (from a representative who made us feel like he could easily become part of the family because he was so personable), were well informed of their product, were quoted a great price, had the job scheduled and done promptly. Every interaction with each individual from the company, whether in person or on the phone, was timely and respectful! And the windows look great too! I would definitely refer others I know to this company.
