At first, it was good but the prices are HIGH! They sent a tech to appraise the area. They quoted me one price based on the area. Then they changed the quote when they arrived to do the work. Which, ok, that can happen. BUT THEN when they asked who the technician was, I told them and the OWNER said they didn't have anyone on staff by that name. So then I checked my email for the original quote and found THAT name signed to the quote. At this point, my memory was jogged and I remembered them telling me from the beginning that the owner's son would be coming to do my initial inspection. They both had the same last name, however, that's not enough to be certain. I wanted to make sure I wasn't wrong and making a snap judgment. I called the company back to speak with the office clerk who confirmed that the person who did my original quote was INDEED, the owner's son. SO, this means that the OWNER denied his child's existence, just to up the price of my project. No, thank you. NEVER AGAIN! So glad I didn't pay. PS. I have had the job completed by another company for a fraction of the cost without ANY issues. It looks great, I'm satisfied, and they aren't on Angie's List. Also, this isn't my 1st bad experience with an Angie's List company. Do better, Angie's List!

"Ms. [Member Name Removed] contacted MCA to provide an ASBESTOS Abatement Estimate. Mr. Sanchez Jr. came out on April 4th, 2017 to visit the sight and provide the estimate. The customer was provided several options to address the asbestos material. Mr. Wiglesworth, the second estimator whom shares no relationship to Mr. Sanchez Jr., came out to provide a quote for the MOLD Remediation project, the customer had not mentioned any presence of mold during the initial visit. Only a $450.00 additional charge was applied for the mold portion when our minimum is $850.00 for mold projects. The customer rescheduled the project at least twice after the revised proposal was issued, once the day of, and was not charged any cancellation or rescheduling fees."

Initially, I was pleased by my interaction with the company. I reached out to them, and I was able to schedule an asbestos testing within the few days after the call. However, when the date and time of my appointment arrived, the scheduled inspector never showed. I called the office after several hours and spoke to a lady there who confirmed the time and date of my appointment, expressed regret that no one showed, and assured me that she would reach out to the inspector who was supposed to inspect my property. She also assured me that she would call me back once she got more information. That was a week ago, and I have not heard from the company since. As I mentioned, I was initially pleased by the seemingly prompt, efficient service from the company, but the fact that my appointment was missed and I never received a follow-up phone call about the missed appointment or about scheduling another appointment really makes me lose confidence in this company and their ability to perform the service that I requested.

The process took two days. The first day focused on the demolition and removal of the construction material and the second day focused on the tile. The crew was very pleasant, considerate of my home, and hard working. They did an amazing job with removing all the debris through my little basement window so nothing came up through the house. This alone was a much appreciated effort. The quality of work was amazing and my gutted basement looks clean and ready for transformation. The foreman on the job, Ronmel, was very responsive and communicative about the process, clarifying requirements/desires, and making sure everything was proceeding to expectations.

Maryland Cleaning and Abatement did a wonderful job remediating a mold problem in my basement. They were extremely professional, thorough and efficient. I was particularly impressed that upon finding asbestos in one area of the basement, they performed asbestos encapsulation at no additional cost to me.

It was part of our home inspection. They did a good job. They ended up finding some mold in the attic and in the cellar. The people we bought the house from ended up using the for the abatement in the attic. Nothing could have been better.

MD Cleaning and Abatement showed up on time, did a great job "sealing off" the areas where the removal was to take place and worked very quickly and non-stop to complete the removal. The crew wrapped up my job in one day, about 200 sq/ft of tile removed. They also did an excellent job removing the old mastic too, and very little residual fumes from the chemicals used for the removal. No traces left of the mastic! Great job cleaning up too, very pleased with the work and well worth the $$.

Henry was very professional and helpful. He thoroughly explained what he was doing, why he thought the tiles were not asbestos, and how the testing process would work. Nena, the office manager, was pleasant and helpful over the phone. Our lab results confirmed that the tiles did not contain asbestos, so we did not have removal completed.

The company did exactly what I expected from them and couldn't be happier. Asbestos in many areas was removed properly along with tons of mold. They cleaned the studs, joists, floors etc so well that all appeared as brand new wood and the house is from 1967. I almost couldn't believe it. It clearly showed that they know their industry very well and exceed expectations. Some areas were encapsulated/coated to seal the areas to look good visually in the attic sheathing but also to prevent any future mold growth. It prevented us from having to rip off a roof and replace the plywood and everything that was covered in black mold. I got 4 quotes from good companies and this one was the most reasonable when adding so many rooms and tasks onto the list. Other companies were somewhat close in price but this one was still more reasonable by several thousand and this was a BIG job. I am glad I picked this comany for the quality, punctuality, professionalism, reasonable price (considering what was done and what others would have charged). I also had them install new drywall ceiling in a room that had asbestos popcorn ceiling that was abated first. The drywall ceiling looks great as expected and very smooth and primed/painted professionally. The rest of the house I was able to put up drywall on the walls and other upgrades without having to worry about my health working in the home because they made sure it was safe. The air samples and other samples proved scientifically that everything was safe after the work was performed. This is an intense problem to have eradicated and could not have even tried to do on my own and I am a carpenter. I knew they had their work cut out for them and knew it would be such hard work and yet they hit it out of the park. Thank you so much Henry and of course the whole crew that worked as a great team. If you want your home safe and don't want to be taken off by salesmen from the typical mold companies, then call these guys. The other companies we had estimate were just not as organized, punctual, or seem to have our best interest in mind. This company was there to address our problems directly and give us what we wanted. We had even tried to get servpro to come and they were so lousy at trying to even setup appointments or just start the whole process. MD abatement made it so easy and broke down the estimate and bill into simple to understand numbers and descriptions. Will use again as I encounter any problems like this in the future.

I was unable to use Maryland Cleaning and Abatement because the home purchase contract fell through. Nina and Bob were fantastic. I had serious concerns about purchasing a home with a mold issue and spoke to two other contractors before Maryland. They were fantastic and made me comfortable that they could do the work and that my family would be safe because they would stand behind the work.

Great. Our project manager, Henry, was very helpful throughout the entire process. When the work took longer than expected he called me promptly and explained the reason for delay (related to the extensive problem). The work was then complete within the new timeframe and was done very well. Would definitely recommend this company.

For starters, everyone was completely professional and timely.  The estimator was on time, quick and provided an estimate within a couple of days.  Work started on time and at my request one week before closing.  The company put up a plastic airlock to avoid contamination.  All workers wore protective clothing and masks and brought their own cases of water to stay hydrated.  A commercial capacity hepa filter was moved to the attic and exhausted via a duct out through the air lock, out a window and well into the yard.  There were no less than 5 workers for three days, vacuming out the vermiculite, double-bagging in the attic, then rebagging in the airlock to avoid contamination and all material was disposed of off site.  Once the insulation was removed, every surface was wiped down and then sprayed with a binder to keep any dust contained.  Finally, upon my request a third party verified the air in the attic to be asbestos free.
Personal Note.  The team was great, professional and courteous.  And - I have never seen a cleaner attic in my life - not even in a brand new home.

The company was responsive to initial inquiries, and prompt for the evaluation and inspection. They were thorough in checking the basement and area for asbestos (including confirming that our ducts were free of asbestos) and in addition to discussing removal they reviewed other options available to us with the pros and cons (e.g., covering with tile or carpet). The scheduling of the job was upended by the snowstorm, and they were flexible and responsive once again. They were careful about maintaining separate entrances/exits and sealing off the basement so other contractors could do move-in work safely. The basement floor is completely clear, including as mentioned above a very hard to reach area. Very pleased. Would recommend and would re-hire.

The technician was very nice and professional in performing the test. He later explained the test results and explained the level of mold found in the property. He also told me that the high level of mold that was in the basement did not come back in four days. It happened over a period of time.

We called Maryland Cleaning and Abatement in a hurry after a contractor took up a number of asbestos-containing floor tiles in our basement.  They were able to get a crew out within a week to do a full abatement and wipe down surfaces in the rest of the house.  We were out of town at the time, but when we came back, the work was complete and it looked as though they had been quite thorough.  They even took out our trash for us.  Hopefully we will not need their services again, but if we did, we would certainly use them.
