Very professional and friendly.

They were great. They came right out. After coming out, there was a small problem, so he called the boss right away. The boss came out about 10 minutes later. They fixed everything.

i did not witness the work. I feel it is quality work but overpriced.

I just had a horrible experience with a random electrician so I wanted to hire someone that was both knowlegeable, reliable, and fairly priced. I have an old city home so the condition of the electrical system was unknown and I needed someone familiar with knob and tube, as well as newer applications. They came for an estimate of the work within 24 hours on Tuesday and I have them there doing all the work by Friday. They were unbelievably punctual. 7am sharp. In fact, they were on time for the estimate, the main service day and a follow-up day. I dealt with Vince for the details and he showed up with a few guys to complete the work. I paid them nothing up front, and Vince allowed me to drop the check by his house on my way home from work. He even checked back to make sure everything was satisfactory. I did have one little issue with a switch afterwards... it was an honest mistake, they connected two switches. I sent him a message on Tuesday night to let him know there was one little issue and they were there at 7am the next morning and fixed it in 20 minutes. 
Definitely will hire again. Honest business... I can say that as a woman that knows a good deal about home improvements and contractors that typically believe women are naive. Another electrician's bid was three times what Vince's was. Feel strongly that this is a great business.

Perfect, took 2 day, inspection on 3rd day, no hickups.  Trimmed out on the first day available.  No excuses, by the contract, pleasant to work with.
Did I mention no excuses.

Vince was very attentive and professional during our initial walk-through and helped explain all of our options and answer our questions.  He and his crew were on time for their scheduled work daily and left their work areas clean.  The work was done as agreed and we are happy with the results.  Vince was easily reached by phone and email throughout the process.  We have no complaints with their service and will use Madden Electric in the future.

Each task was fixed but the fixture over the washing machine only lasted for 10 pulls of the chain.  My issue is that I tried to call for a repair person to return and really fix it and after seven calls, I still did not receive a return call.  I was very frustrated and just gave up. Madden Electric did do some other repairs for me and the work was fine.  The lack of responsiveness is what upset me.

Had multiple electrical issues following a planned power outage -- microwave stopped working, alarm keypad stopped responding, etc. Madden sent someone over the same day I called (within an hour). Like most electricians, Madden won't work on alarm systems (even a Radio Shack special like mine, which is essentially wiring, a fuse box and a circuit board). But the electrician did work on the other issues, including checking the wiring in the main fuse box and evaluating the microwave issue. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a blown fuse in the microwave, a problem the electrician couldn't address. Because I was being charged for the service visit, he also fixed a front door light that has been out of commission for months and provided advice on another small wiring matter. The diagnostics were helpful, and the work that was performed was of good quality and promptly accomplished.

Lights were out in two bedrooms after a storm. Electrician quickly reasoned that it was because the bedroom circuits were connected to the "load" side of a GFCI in the bathroom. The GFCI had been damaged during the storm. Also wired under cabinet lights. I had bought the lights and switches in advance from a retail store because I wanted a consistent look with the existing installation. It was not a problem to use customer-supplied parts.  The associate was polite, knowledgeable, quick, clean, and the price was very reasonable. Would definitely use again.

It went Fantastic - I was so pleased at the end of the day.  When I met with Mr. Madden we did a quick walk-through from floor to floor and I showed him what worked / didn't work or needed to be changed out.  He communicated everything that I needed to have repaired or replaced back to his electricians, and now everything works!   It's great.  This is a very impressive group.  He also provided me with a few suggestions on my kitchen lighting that I included in the estimate.  I am very happy with the end results.

The put in an electrical connection to the dishwasher.  They were on time,  and they cleaned up after themselves.  Basically, they were just easy to work with.  I would definitely use them again.

This was my first Angie's List experience and I searched at length to identify a provider. Having read many reviews I selected Madden Electric as my first choice. I emailed Vince Madden the task details late that evening, and received a response within hours. On the next day follow-up call he gave me an estimate and a two hour window that fit into my schedule within 24 hours. The electrician's arrived on time; were professional (and patient with me and my questions) and completed the work, including an unexpected adjustment that was needed to accommodate the exisiting wiring. When they left the place was clean, all furniture back in place and I am very pleased with the work. I will certainly call them for future electrical and lighting projects.

The estimate was very reasonable. Vince arrived at my home on-time. During performance of the work, they arrived on time, were professional, and worked hard to limit the mess. The finished product was very good. And, Vince helped out witha few extra projects (replace bathroom outlet, repair old wiring in kitchen) at no additional cost. overall a very good experience!

Excellent.  Very responsive, arrived on time, cleaned up well, good communicator.  Answered all my questions (and I had a lot), responed well to both telephone calls and emails, and was thoughtful in approach to replacement/installation of the new box.  Definitely recommend. 

I have contact a few companies from Angies List. I picked this one because (1) Rating from Angies List (2) They always get back to me in the same date (3) Flexible in scheduling and (4) Pricing. Serviceman were able to identified problem quickly, made recommendation and made correction. Quality of Serviceman and job are excellent. Serviceman and owner are friendly and helpful. I have done a lot of rehab & repairs jobs over the years. They are one of the best I have come across. They are small company and do not have red tape and overhead of large company and are able to keep price reasonable.

From April through August of 2008 my husband and I had our home completely gutted and renovated. The general contractor subcontracted all of the electrical work to Madden Electric. Before much time at all had passed, it became clear that Vince Madden and his crew were THE BEST among the many, many subcontractors working on our home. They were consistently on time, on task, and on budget. They always cleaned up after their work (which, trust me, is HUGE with subcontractors). Vince *always* returned our phone calls and will even regularly email (practically unheard of among contractors on the go)! He showed up on site before every major job to go over the details with me, asking pertinent questions, anticipating our needs, and making sure I understood the work they were about to do. Then he would give elaborate instructions to his crew, who every time performed the job to more than our satisfaction. They were all courteous, hardworking, and detail oriented?often stopping their work to come find me and ask how I wanted a light hung exactly, et cetera; after dealing with so many subcontractors who were far more interested in finishing the job quickly at the expense of quality, seeing Vince Madden and his crew go out of their way to make sure the job was done to our satisfaction and preference was such a surprise and relief. I can't recommend Madden Electric highly enough. They are the best of the best. Honest, hardworking, dependable. Hire Vince and his crew!

He showed up the day after my call and did a good job. He was reliable, did nice work and cleaned up after himself very well. Most importantly - he returns calls!!

They responded quickly and did the work efficiently. Their cost was only a third of what some other people were charging.

The overall experience was great. Vince Madden (owner) was very involved from start to finish. He provided a detailed estimate with several options. The work was professional and quick. When I was unable to meet the city inspector at my house, Vince made a trip to my home to meet him and go over the work. After BGE installed a new meter, Vince again offered to come by and take a look to make sure everything was correct. I am very happy with Madden Electric and will use them again as further needs arise.

Work took place over 2 days due to weather. Crew worked very efficiently and swiftly. Very happy with all work done. We had used this company for an unusual job for a row house in Baltimore City that we were selling and were so impressed asked them to do this work for us too. We like everything about dealing with this company.

Madden Electric was great. They were knowledgable, professional, prompt, and got the job done in the timeframe we needed. We are very impressed with this pleasant, reasonable electrician service. We are so pleased we have contracted with Madden Electric to do a variety of services at another property for us. We will submit another report for that work. Overall a great experience, reasonable in every way.
