Local Color Flowers

Ellen offers two choices for people who use her services for flowers for a wedding.  The family can have vases supplied by Ellen which must be taken home by the family, cleaned and returned to her.  The second choice is to provide her with vases.  The first option seemed unbelievably complex so we chose the second option.  My daughter had made the arrangements in January for her November wedding.  I asked Ellen by email how many vases and what sizes I should get.  I was given an indication of the sizes with a website from which to order the vases.  I wasn't sure what number of small vases and what number of large vases were needed, this number was not given to me.  Maybe I just didn't understand how to read the contract, but I wanted her to tell me a number.  I payed the down payment and the second payment on time.  I asked at the time I made the second payment for a number vases needed, again no answer to the question.  I with held the final payment hoping that would get a response to my question of the number of vases needed.  Finally after multiple emails Ellen answered the questions a week and a half before the wedding.  In her email she said she hoped I hadn't been inconvenienced I replied that I had been inconvenienced because it was now too late to use the web site she had given me.  She replied immediately saying she would supply the vases and they would not have to be returned and she would waive the delivery fee.  I was so relieved to not have to deal with the vases, I just paid the final payment and didn't deduct the delivery fee.  As a good will gesture she had a small arrangement delivered to my house.  She obviously was apologizing for her lack of a response.
The flowers at the wedding were very nice.  When pushed she did give me the number for the vases and provided a satisfactory response. My daughter liked the idea that only local flowers were used.  I can't judge the price because I have no comparative.  I would not give a totally negative review of this florist, but if someone wants to use her nail down the information you want before signing any contracts or paying any money.  She did arrive at the wedding venue on time and the flowers were attractive.
