I contacted Winston regarding interior drywall damage caused by a leaky roof. He came out the same day regarding the interior work and came over the next day to examine the roof. Gave me an estimate for repairs and proceeded to complete the roof installation in under 2 days! I am totally impressed with the quality and speed at which the work was completed. You cant go wrong hiring this company.

My wife and I had a great experience with L&L. Winston helped us with some major steps of our kitchen remodel. He demo’d some walls, rebuilt the studs, hung drywall, patched/repaired existing drywall, and reconfigured the plumbing and gas in the kitchen. He was always prompt and professional. Also gave us great advice other parts of the remodel we were tackling on our own - all and all very nice guy. I would highly recommend his services!

Winston (L & L) was very professional, gave reasonably accurate estimates and did great work. Basically I wanted to combine two smaller rooms in a Fells Point rowhouse to make an open space. The wall removal they had done in a matter of hours, but once we pulled up the very old carpet and padding it was clear the floor was a challenge (see pictures). Not only was it completely full of nails, old paint, and damage of every kind, but whole chunks of it were missing and replaced with non-matching wood, AND there were structural issues with a joist underneath. I really wanted to restore it, and while it probably would have been easier to replace they worked with me to get me what I wanted. Winston found me replacement wood flooring from the same era and type of home (at a very small cost) for the patches and he and his son put many hours into perfectly fixing and restoring the floor. It has beautiful color and character and I couldn't be happier with how it came out. They also did a great job patching the wall, and it's now seamless and looks like it had always been a single room, which is perfect. Will hire again for future renovations. Thanks!

Overall I am satisfied with the work and will be calling them back to get some other areas worked on. The only area of improvement I suggest is adding debris removal to the contract terms.

They built an addition onto my house where a half bath was, and turned it into a full bath with a washer and dryer in it. Winston and his crew are very patient, and will work with you on every single aspect of every single step of your project from start to finish. Let me tell you, Winston Bower & his LL Building Blocks Team are amazing! I had major surgery scheduled in June 2015. I called Winston & he came out, shook my hand first and then entered my home. We discussed the flooring upgrade. He took measurements and gave me a quote and advised me it would take 3 days to complete. He recommended Wood Floors Plus in Glen Burnie Md for my flooring needs. Winston advised me to allow the wood to adjust to the home a few days prior to the project to prevent swelling. I took the measurements and ordered my floors. I ordered 100% Acacia Hardwood floors. The day of the project, his team went to Home Depot to pick up the other necessary items to start the project. When I got home, I noticed immediately all of my furniture was covered nicely and my kitchen was blocked off with plastic to protect from dust and debris. To my amazement, my flooring project was done in 1 DAY!! Winston's team was finishing up a small section in the corner, but the entire floor project was done. When I say 1 Day, I mean, they gutted, removed and replaced the old flooring with 18 boxes of Acacia Hardwood in my dining room, pantry, coat closet, entryway to basement and Living room. His team works from 9 until 5 or later and earlier if need be. The only thing they did the next day was to add the trimming which only took a few hours. Once the project was over, he came back out to inspect the work. The floors really beautified my home and pulled the decor together beautifully. The next few days he started my front step renovation. By the time I got home that day, my steps were done and drying and my handrail was in the process of being stained. I would like to also add that my handrail is a wooden custom built handrail. I picked out the style and design and his team structured it exactly as I've asked. His team came back the next day to finish up due to the rain the previous day. My steps were completed, stained and I was able to walk through my front door. I had so many compliments. Neighbors literally walking over to my house, knocking on my door and admiring the work. I would like to also add that I have the only wooden custom built rail and widen steps in the entire townhome community. Both flooring & front step renovations were done within 1 WEEK!! In July 2016, I needed Winston to quote me on installing a patio to replace my garden out my front. Winston came out, looked around and gave me a quote. The day of renovation, his team went to get the materials at Home Depot. Winston contacted the concrete company and provided me with the details and instructions for when the time was ready to pour the concrete. When I got home the first day of the project, his team had already made major progress to gut the foundation. It was a lot of work to haul that much dirt. They placed the bags of dirt neatly on the curb for hauling. The next morning, already having my order ready, I called the concrete company, gave them my payment and by early afternoon, they came out and dumped fresh quality concrete on my patio foundation. By the time I got home, Winston's team was smoothing out the concrete and already walking on it. Again, my neighbors just walked by admiring and asking me who completed this project and that it was beautiful and different. This renovation took 1 DAY! I contacted Winston's hauling partner and he came out the next day to haul over 30 bags of soil. By the time I got home, you couldn't tell that there were any bags in my front lawn. Winston's team cleaned up any mess that was made during the project. Winston Bower & the LL Building Blocks team are very professional. When they schedule you for a project, they are working on your project. Depending on the weather conditions or any situation outside of their control, they will have your project completed timely. The work is quality. His contracts are professionally done with no hidden fees. He has his license number on his contract to confirm that he is a professional contractor. Winston is very open to suggestions and very approachable. I have several other small projects that I may need done and I am definitely calling Winston Bower back. His team works in an ethical and honest manner. They don't roam around your house and nothing is missing under his team. They only work in the area that the project is in. As a single woman, and oftentimes, it's hard to find someone trustworthy and honest that will help you without trying to use you or overcharge you for services. From the very first communication I knew the owner was professional. He was on time and fair. He broke down the price by material and labor costs (I thought the labor cost was high) then provided a receipt for the material cost at the end of the job. He even left us with the remaining paint in case of additional damage.
We had to order a new window and wait for it to be delivered before the installation. Winston was on time during every appointment, completed the work when he said it would be completed, and sent pictures of everything that had been completed. I highly recommend this company.
