The roof is a modified G.A.F. torch-applied rubber roofing system coated with pro grade aluminum fiber coating, including flashing.
Over the past year, however,I had noticed a leak along the edge of a wall that obviously was worse during all the rain we had. I asked my house inspector for a recommendation for a roofer to come check it out. He recommended Joe LaRicci. I called Mr. LaRicci and he came out within a day to inspect the roof and called to let me know that the roof was very cracked, that "someone had painted it white," and that I needed a new roof. He gave me a price and we agreed that he would come out either on Friday, Oct. 14 or Monday or Tuesday of the next week, depending on rain. He agreed to provide me with pictures of the before and after and also said I didn't have to be there.
It rained Friday. On Wednesday morning, when I checked my email, Mr. LaRicci had sent me photos taken on Tuesday before he replaced the roof and right before he was finished so I could see what the cracked roof, the rubber roofing, and the rubber roofing coated with aluminum.
He was prompt, fair, and left the area so clean I didn't even realize he had been there until he sent me the pictures. He's very straightforward and keeps his word. I recommend him very highly.
It rained the day after he came. No more leaks.
