Jim Bush Plumbing

I was very disappointed.I felt like I was completely overcharged for the service. I went to home depot to confirm the pricing of the part, it only cost $10. I felt like I was taken advantage of, and the toilet is still having issues with flushing.

I had never used this plumber before but couldn't get my normal plumber for an emergency call so I decided to try him. Within a couple of minutes of starting to clean the drain, I heard muttering and concerns and he told me I had a hole in my drain and he needed to dig my concrete cellar floor up. He didn't have a camera with him and couldn't show me what he was talking about. I told him I wasn't prepared to dig the floor up without more information. He said the drain was open for now and would come back with a camera the next day. He didn't show and I got my regular plumber to come in and check his work.

The work took a day and a half.  Jim was present the entire time, and he had a helper.  He was able to work within our budget; did not do anything that wasn't required.

Within an hour and a half of calling for assistance, Jim Bush and his apprentice, Lance, arrived at my house to replace a faulty shower control valve on a shower that had no cut-off valves.  In addition to fixing the problem with the shower valve, I requested cut-off valves to be installed on the water supply lines of this shower and another shower.  Within a few hours, they had completed replacement of the shower valve and installation of two of the cut-off valves.  They came back the next day to install two more cut-off valves.  Also, a subcontracted finish carpenter came to repair the hole in the dry wall.  All the work was done in a professional manner.  Drop cloths were used to contain any mess caused by their repair activities and they cleaned up afterward with a vacuum.

Setting up the appointment was easy and the plumber came 30 mins after the appt time but he did call when he was on his way. Things were going well until he came across an unexpected issue and expressed frustration. He was cursing and was unprofessional. He was knowledgeable and fixed all the issues but would suggest taming language while in someone else's home.

Very strong impression that I didn't get their A Team on a Sunday morning. The lead guy, don't know if he was a licensed plumber or not, seemed overmatched and his assistant was clearly some young relative without any background. Their survey of the problem was piecemeal; a thorough survey would have discovered the problem in the bathroom and a cost-free solution.
