GUARDIAN SECURITY SYSTEMS

We hired Guardian Security to install cc cameras in our home. We opted out of the traditional alarm system as I work exclusively from home and my wife works from home 2 days a week.

After obtaining quotes from a few companies, we decided to go with Guardian based on their very competitive pricing, stellar Angie?s list reviews, and outstanding references. We were completely thrilled with the installation and equipment. The installers were clean professional and very unintrusive as we were working from home that day.  All work was completed by day?s end and I received a full ?training session? on the use of the system prior to their departure. They even provided a remote app for my iPhone where I can monitor our home anywhere in the world!

We would definitely recommend Guardian Security to anyone considering cc cameras.

I am not very pleased with their customer service. I will not be using them in the future.

I had no problems with the installation. They have reasonably good equipment. The keypad is more than just a keypad. I think their pricing could be a little better. I've not had any alarm incidents. I did have them come out to fix a key fob and they charged me a deductible. They insist on having the payments come out directly on auto pay. I'm not a big fan of that system. They send me an alert if I forget to arm my system and I can arm my system remotely from my phone.

We bought a house that had a previously-installed security system from ADT, but wanted someone to 1) come out and make sure it was sufficient, and 2) monitor it.  We also wanted to move the keypad from an interior wall to just inside the front door.  JR came out after work (even though it was after hours for him, too), and spent plenty of time going through the house, finding holes in the existing system, and suggesting fixes.  When we decided on something, one of his crew came out and spent several hours at our house moving the keypad, installing window monitors on every window on the first floor (and one that I hadn't even thought about on the second--it's accessible if you climb on the roof, and I hadn't even thought about that!).  He left our house clean as it was when we got there, and was quiet and respectful of our home.  That was about a year ago.  Then, because of a flub with Comcast (when ISN'T it Comcast's fault!?!), our system stopped communicating with the monitoring station.  Not only did JR remember both me and my husband a year later, but he agreed to get someone to come out ASAP to handle resetting the system.  
When it comes to service, I give them not only an A, but an A+++.  The only reason I would downgrade them is that the equipment they installed in my home isn't as fancy as some of the touchscreen, wireless, fancy machinery you can get from other companies.  However, it does match with what was already installed from the previous owner.

The experience was very good. They were very friendly and courteous.

It was good. I have an atypical setup but their price was probably within the normal market range. I would not say that they were much less expensive but they were not overly expensive too. I would say that their pricing was just fair. I have no concerns so far. Actually, the customer representative that met with me was very friendly and very quick to respond. So far, all of the services that I have had put in has worked just fine. I have no problems. The people from the company that I have come in contact with were very good. The guy that did the installation was very nice and on time. I have called them up and I had no problems. They were actually better than I expected. Not that I did not think that it was going to go well but everything went pretty smoothly. I have not had any issues with my alarm system so far. I am probably going to wait a little bit longer before anything would change. There was not any great deal really but so far, everything looks just like it is supposed to.

The price was good. They were very quick and they did a very good job. They were quick enough that they stopped another robbery about a week later.

JR was completely awesome to work with.  I got a call back from him within 1 business day after submitting a form online for more information, and he was able to come out the next day (after business hours--he said we were on his way home and he could swing by since we're 9-5ers) and go through the house with us.  He thought of things we hadn't even thought about--glassbreak alarms for our sunroom as well as a window alarm for a window on the second floor that could be access via a roof.  He arranged for a weekend install for us, and even stopped by during the install to make sure everything was going according to plan.
When David came to install the system, he was right on time, was respectful of our time and our home, and put the extra effort into making the security system blend with our 1940's home.  He even checked to make sure all the pieces of the ADT system they were going to co-op into their system were working correctly, and took the time to explain how to work the system instead of just leaving us with an instruction manual and booking it out of there.  

UPDATE: I've downgraded them from a A to a C.  We were having issues with an 'FC' code on our touch pad (there was no communication between our system and the monitoring center--basically, the system became mostly decorative).  I spent a month going back and forth with JR, trying to get it to reset (all the while it hasn't worked), until finally he told us it would be more reliable if we were to install a cell responder in the system for an additional charge.  If that's not a racket, I don't know what is.  Anyway, because we still have another 2 1/2 years on this contract (which is a long time to pay for something that doesn't work), we decided to get it installed.  I called him back on April 7 to say yes, we wanted to install this piece.  He told me that he should be able to get someone in to install it early the next week.  It is now May 5, and not only is it not installed (and my system now hasn't worked for 2+months), it's like pulling teeth to get him on the line to even talk to him.  When I finally do, it's all "I'm so sorry, I'll have someone out as soon as possible," but nothing ever comes from it.  The last time he actually sent someone out, they came with the wrong piece.  At this point, I'm done.  No more Mrs. Nice Girl.  In wish we could get out of the contract and get our system monitored by a company that actually values its customers.  The only reason this company doesn't get an F is because they were well priced, but since I'm not getting the service I paid for, I guess that's somewhat moot.  

I'll update again when (if) this is ever resolved.

I had a good experience with them. They came on time and did everything that they were supposed to do. When we had a bad storm, it detected when the power went out and told us we were on battery back up. They consistently followed up with me.

THEY CALLED A COUPLE OF TIMES TO SEE HOW I LIKED THE SERVICE AFTER IT WAS INSTALLED. THEY GAVE ME THE BEST PRICE, AND EVERY TIME I HAD A QUESTION, IT WAS ANSWERED. THIS IS A GREAT COMPANY.
