Sarah came out to assess my needs, and offer suggestions on new plants.
They were here for an hour, and 4 men removed two nasty old azaleas, and replaced those with beautiful new shrubs. Two new shrubs were added to other locations. Nice compost, holly-tone and mulch were added. No mess was left. They worked quickly and respectfully.
I really like working with Greenfield's. They are not trying to sell Raven's gear, and numerous odds and ends for a patio. They sell plants, and offer landscaping and botany advice. That is what I want from a nursery and landscaping company. As well, they offer a good variety of native plants, which I appreciate. Last but not least, they offer this at a reasonable price.

Sarah came out again in the Fall and we planned a and quot;bluebirdand quot; garden. It included a tree and 6 plants that produce berries that bluebird
like to eat. This time I stayed with Sarah and the workman and counted the plants to make sure they were all there.
The dogwood and peonia were replaced and the magnolia was treated for mildew The new leaves are coming in green w/o infestation.The garden design and plantings are beautiful. The workman went the extra mile this time and remove the grass and placed it over a bare area in the yard.
Greenfields met my expectations this time and gave me a receipt for exactly $605 that was owed to me.

I would recommend them to others. They are good.

It went okay. Delivery was prompt and on-time. The only miscommunication was that I wanted it delivered in front of my disused car gate and it was instead dropped in front of my pedestrian gate, which meant a sort of emergency relocation of these really heavy bags of mulch by me so a resident could leave for her flight on time (and get her heavy suitcase out of that gate). Not ideal, but it wasn't horrible.

Given that I want to factor in the fact that I could well have dropped the ball on communicating my desires absolutely clearly, I'll just drop from A to B on that.

They do a good job and their price is reasonable. I would particularly recommend that they talk to Peter.

They are an exceptional service. I made an appointment and they come out on time. They were extremely professional. He really knew what he was talking about.

We had one of the trees die, and they came and replaced it for free. They were excellent. They were on time and cleaned up after themselves. We were very pleased. They worked with us on the price to help us out.

I have visited Greenfields store many times whe traveling down Falls Road. The store always has unique things displayed and has had great after Christmas sales. This time, I wanted 2 red maples about 7' tall to plant along our driveway. Other nurseries had 12'+ trees and were unwilling to order trees for me. On Oct. 12th,Pete said he would find the trees and order them for me.He fould two 7' trees on 10/18 and set up delivery for 10/19. We discussed detailed directions for finding my house, which Pete wrote down for the delivery men. To my surprise, my neighbor told me there were 2 maple trees labeled with my first name up by the mailboxes on her property. The trees were delivered to the wrong house. The men did not follow Pete's directions. On 10/19, I left a message at the store and Pete called fist thing on 10/20. He apologized for the mistake and took the $30 delivery charge off of my bill. Pete was great in providing a quick service and meeting my needs. I would recommend him.

All of the projects were carried out smoothly and on the dates and times they were scheduled. Jim, the owner, is always fun to work with, has a terrific eye for design and a desire to keep customers. I don't love every decision we made and have had to do research on my own to suggest alternatives. I don't, for example, love the kind of hydrangeas we've planted and would have preferred older varieties; some bloom indifferently and some haven't bloomed at all. Most of the garden is made up of native plants, making their success more likely, but I would like to have seen us try a little more variety. Communication between the office and the workers isn't always smooth, and the office can be less than elegant about getting payment. On the other hand, everyone is very, very pleasant, especially Pete, and I return to Greenfields whenever I need more landscaping even though I would like to see some of the process work more smoothly.

Nice job. The estimator arrived on time and was friendly. I showed him the entire yard and shared my "vision" but also let him know that I probably could only afford to do small areas at a time. He was very understanding and shared ideas about plants that would work well in different areas. A few days later he sent a plan for the entire yard, broken down by sections with plants, labor, and the associated cost for each section. This was SO helpful as it allowed me to visualize the finished product and plan a strategy to complete it. I hired them to do one particularly unsightly section at that time and they were timely and on budget. The work is lovely. I will probably hire them to complete one or two sections each year as my budget allows.

Because the scope of my project was very small, they suggested I get a quote from another contractor. I appreciated that they were straighforward with that. However, I do purchase plants from them and they are very knowledgable.

It was an excellent experience. The person that came out and did the job was excellent. He was a little hard to get a hold of sometimes because he is very busy but he would always get here and do an excellent job and their prices were reasonable.

Jim couldn't have been nicer when he came out for the original estimate. The day the crew came, he was there for a few minutes, told them what to do and left. The crew was very nice and accommodating as well. Some of the things we discussed were not done. Each time I called I got a voice mail and none of my calls were returned. After some time passed, I called again and was told an appointment had been set up for me for them to return. I wouldn't have known this if I hadn't called. I took the day off from work, since I wanted to be there when they did the job. Some more time passed, and I got a call telling me my appointment was scheduled for another day, but they would keep both dates on the calendar. As it turned out they came a day earlier than our original appointment, and the day that I had taken off. They took care of one of my concerns, but I'm still waiting to resolve the other. What I'm asking is no big deal, and at this point may take care of it myself.

Great Job. What a difference! The job was very neat and the crew was very polite and professional. Since I have a herd of around 32 deer in the back woods, Jim helped me pick out plants that weren't deer friendly. Greenfield's is coming back to do another job.

VERY GOOD. I WAS NOT THERE WHEN THEY DID THE PLANTING AND SOME PLANTS WERE PUT IN THE WRONG SPOT, THOUGH I HAD MARKED WHERE THE PLANTS SHOULD GO. WHEN I CALLED TO ASK THEY BE MOVED, THERE WAS NO PROBLEM.
