George Slade

We called at 10am and arranged for him to arrive at 2pm. He was right on time, was very courteous and quickly removed the offending mattress. Our cat had wet on it and we couldn't get the smell out, so we were looking for someone who could take it ASAP. He's coming from East Baltimore, but was willing to come to Howard County to help us. We would definitely use him again and recommend him to others.

This guy is terrific. He has been in business for many years, has a group of four other men who have been working with him for many years. They arrive on the dot when they say they will,work quickly, clean up wonderfully well, and charge extraordinarily reasonable prices.

He was responsive and punctual. He moved one couch, three dressers, four metal cabinets, a day-bed, and lots of odds and ends from the basement to the outside. I would use his services again if I need to.

Mr. Slad was very nice and accommodating over the phone, we scheduled a day and a time, and he gave me a quote. The day of, he called to show up about an hour early, which I was ok with because I was home, but I wasn't pleased with as a rule. However, when he and his crew showed up, they were wonderfully efficient and amazing at packing up that one pickup bed. They fit everything I'd mentioned and a couple of things I'd forgotten about, and they didn't give me one bit of hassle about the extra. In fact, Mr. Slade told me to sit back and think and make sure I hadn't forgotten anything else that they might be able to fit on the truck. He only charged $25 extra for the other mess of stuff that I remembered after he came. He and his crew even came out and worked in the snow!

These guys worked really hard and they were very careful. They were nice and courteous which I really appreciated. They also did a good job cleaning up the area.

I called Mr. Slade on Sunday. He said that he could come to give me an estimate one evening during the week and would call Tuesday to set up a time. As promised, Mr. Slade called Tuesday and set up a time to look at the job Wednesday evening at 6:30. Mr Slade arrived on time, was courteous and professional, gave me an estimate and discussed how many men he would have to bring along with the size truck. He apologized for the rate being high, but because of the heavy objects, he would need three men instead of two. He set the time for the next evening. Again, Mr Slade arrived on time and his three men (who were very pleasant) got the entire job done in under an hour and with no mess. Mr Slade and I spoke about his church group and when I found out some of the members have needs for household items, gave Mr Slade some things that I was intending to give to Goodwill to take as well.

Mr. Slade was fairly easy to reach and pleasant on the phone. We arranged a time for pickup, and while there was a little confusion when we didn't answer our phone the first time, which caused a delay in their arrival, they came and worked quickly and quietly to do what we needed them to do. Mr. Slade supervised. He's a pro--he said he used to do this kind of work for the city before he retired.

The crew showed up when they said they would, were polite, and worked hard to get the job done quickly and thoroughly.

GEORGE WAS VERY CONSIDERATE OF MY LIMITED TIME SCHEDULE. HE SHOWED UP ON TIME WITH THE NECESSARY HELP. THEY WERE ALL VERY PROFESSIONAL AND POLITE. I WAS ALSO VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE CLEAN UP AFTERWARDS AND PRICE WAS QUOTED UP FRONT. I WOULD CERTAINLY CALL THEM AGAIN FOR ANY FUTURE WORK.
