I love my vet. I got discounts. The vets are very helpful. They're very professional and they care about the animals. I really like them. I would like it cheaper.

As always, the service, staff and care were excellent. All of the veterinarians are excellent and the support staff excels in every way. As I stated in my other comments I have a vet office within walking distance of my home and still drive to get to DocSide. The staff are excellent at diagnosing and they know my animals well. They are always kind and affectionate to my animals, even Huck, who has some aggression issues. I have been going to them for approx 8 years now and they have dealt with many various health issues and always done well. The follow-up is beyond belief with calls to check in on your animals regardless of day of the week or holiday. They also have a vet on-call at all times. You cannot beat the services. I have referred them to several of my friends. The only downfall is that they are expensive and they do not accept Care Credit. Thy have the ability and the means to treat your pet in ways far beyond most other vets can or care to and again that can run into a major expense. Yet, they are understanding of your financial situation and will try to work within the constraints of your budget without prejudice but you need to be up front with them. I had previously used several other veterinary clinics in the Baltimore area and I feel you will not find better veterinary care in the area.

I wasn’t able to get there because my husband had had surgery recently, and they were kind enough to mail the medicines to me, which arrived this morning. The doctors that I have interacted with have all been very good. They don’t start digging until they figure out what is wrong. They are definitely not cheap but are very good. They have a terrific staff. I have been there enough times that they know who I am; they remember me and my pets. They are very good at finding records and figuring out things and asking questions to the doctors if I need to have an answer. They are just really good at what they do.

I would give them an A on everything. It's hard to narrow their charges down; it's everything from $15 for a nail trim to a very large panel of tests on my dog so it is hard to narrow it down. I would just refer people to them. They will also tell you what they are going to charge.

I had 3 dogs and a cat at the time. I had been seeing Dr. Tierney for several years and was reasonably satisfied, although I found them pricey. i was impressed by the facility and their up to date equipment. The last straw came when I took my dog in for a limp, her reliance on technical solutions led up first down the path of extensive xrays and work ups( around $800)- at one point we were talking about a double knee replacement. On a follow up visit, Dr. Herling did a $100.00 blood test and found lyme disease. In Maryland, lyme disease should be suspected very early on in young, healthy active dogs. I was NOT pleased to spend almost $1000.00 for something that a course of antibiotics could fix. That was my last visit.

Over the years I've seen nearly all of the vets at DocSide, and they all have their own approach. I now see Dr. Giamuccio primarily and she is by far my favorite vet. One of my cats has had every problem in the book: he's got seasonal allergies, he's extremely anxious from being abused and neglected in his previous home, and he's now 10 years old and has developed stomach cancer. I love my cats very much, but I'm not rich and I was not able to pay the thousands of dollars for surgery and a biopsy to confirm the exact type of cancer (nor did I want to put him through this, since he already panics whenever we leave the house), and Dr. Giamuccio was quick to come up with an alternative treatment plan that was financially possible for us, and she didn't make me feel the least bit guilty about it. She truly has the animal's best interest at heart and is willing to work with the owners to find the best course of action. My other cat is a real monster at the vet and the entire staff at DocSide has been more than patient in dealing with his tantrums. Cat #3 escaped through a window last year and was missing for two months - I had completely given up hope of finding him when a resident from the neighborhood found him and brought him to DocSide. They recognized him and called me, and we are so happy to have him home. Their prices are not the cheapest out there, and I've taken my cats to larger hospitals for two procedures (one neuter and one teeth cleaning and extraction) in order to save a few hundred dollars, but their prices are not out of line with the area. They're a small facility with an extremely friendly and helpful staff and I'm very happy to pay a little bit more to receive such wonderful care.

I think that they are moderately priced and it depends on the pet owner's personality and which doctor the pet owner sees to have a good opinion of the doctors at Doc Side. I have seen all the doctors and they are all very different.

They are conveniently located from our home and they are very good with the animals. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and seems to truly care about the animals. I think the price is comparable to the area.

The doctors, assistants and office staff are fantastic. They are thorough, understanding and go the extra mile. Whether you are in for a routine annual or an acute issue, they take extra time with any questions or issues that may arise. I always recommend them to anyone looking for a vet.
