They are the only choice I have, there’s nobody else here. As a national company, their service is mediocre. I called them this morning and for an hour on the phone the issue was not solved so they have to call me back until they finally figure out why their system is not working properly. They could not answer my questions so we did not resolve any thing. We just spent a lot of time on the phone. For the last couple of weeks, there was a problem with their service but they could not resolve it and they could not figure out why it’s not working the way it should work.

It was horrible, much like all my experiences with this company. First had to use the phone service techs. After 6 hours and 6 techs - each telling me to do the same things, I was in tears. I asked to talk to a supervisor and was told none were available. Tech was sent to the house a week later and replaced the box. Was a week without service and then had to argue with the company for an adjustment to the bill.

I was promised six months ago that I could revert to previous plan without
charges. After (and I'm not exaggerating) ten phone calls, mostly only
to computers, and being transferred to five different humans, I was told
there would be a charge, and my call was again dropped after an hour of
struggling.
I would definitely never choose Comcast again, but unfortunately there is very little choice in my area, and this is presumably how they can get away with outrageously high prices and excruciating customer service.

It takes them awhile for them to come out. The company is so overbooked that it takes a couple of days to get an appointment.

They were very attentive, and he left his phone number with us so if we had any questions we could call him. He was very good.

They are always very responsive. Whenever I have had a problem with the TV, they tell me how to fix it on my hand or it seems as though they can fix things remotely from there in. And we have always gotten the issue resolved right then and there on the spot. So they are real good to deal with. In fact they have told me if I have issues with my TV to unplug everything, and turn it back on, sort of rebooting it. So if I did something strange on the TV because I have hit a button on the remote, that is the first thing that I do. I don't even need to call them. They taught me how to fix it myself.

I pay $143 a month for their services. Their services are of good quality, but they are a little expensive. I have not had any problems with them. I would continue to use them in the future.

Yesterday June 21, 2011, three months after the initial installation and after ten service technicians visited my home and failed to get me properly connected to phone and internet service I had a visit from the first technician that seemed to know what he was doing.
I had at least twenty phone conversations (with long holds), false information, false promises, incorrect installations, failure to connect a simple network to a pre-wired home and endless frustration. Eventually, I re-did all their abysmal efforts myself and got the system working.
Comcast is the worst service company I have ever used for any purpose. If I could, I would prohibit them from offering service in Baltimore City. Unfortunately, I don't have a view of the southerns sky or I would have purchased the same services from Direct TV. I was stuck with Comcast. In the course of my three months of tribulations, Comcast installers (most of whom are subcontractors; not Comcast employees) made countless errors including leaving trash on the floor, failing to hook up phones properly (no dial tones at my jacks), attaching cables to routers incorrectly, being untrained and unschooled in networking installations and Wi-Fi and the list goes on. It was an unmitigated disaster.
Finally, customer service agreed to hold up their effort at debt collection and notate my account with a "do not terminate service" notice until I had a chance to speak to a "real" supervisor. The supervisor never called and my service was terminated without notice. Only when I raised h*** was I able to make someone understand that Comcast had badly screwed me and finally, they sent a competent networking technician. (Extra charge for a new service called "Signature" service. Apparently Comcast has not previously employed technicians familiar with networking in Baltimore City until thirty days ago.)
He inspected my re-do of their system and told me I had done an excellent job and everything was working. He also claims to have insured that I got a $300 rebate on my next bill. Time will tell. What is most interesting about this experience is that I had only left the home for three months. Prior to my departure all Comcast services worked exactly as they should including Wi-Fi. Three months later Comcast was unable to restore the home to its original condition. Nothing had changed. The house was vacant for those three months.I would recommend to any prospective Baltimore City Comcast customer that they look at any possible alternative; even Verizon (which now has a high speed broadband option) which is also a rat's nest of bureaucracy and unfulfilled promises. I am told that FIOS is quite good. But Verizon won't install FIOS cabling in Baltimore City; presumably because the population is too poor to justify the investment.
I have given more than forty hours to supervising Comcast technicians who have failed to successfully do what should be a relatively straightforward installation.
There are no adequate words to express my disgust and frustration that they are able to scam customers this way.

They have the worst business model I have ever seen. They have old technology, they give poor service, and then overcharge me for it.

I DO THINK MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE COMPANY WAS GOOD. I GOT A PROMPT RESPONSE FROM THEM AFTER THE FIRST PHONE CALL. THE PRICING WAS NOT AN ISSUE. THE WORK WAS COMPLETED WITHIN A HALF HOUR. THEY DID THE JOB, CLEANED UP, AND WERE GONE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM.
