Every time I go somewhere, I take my cat there to board him. He is also under their veterinarian care, The place is an little expensive, but for it being an all cat place, its great. There isn't any nosier animals. They are good. My cat died last year, and they were great about the whole process.

This cat hospital is very expensive but they are also very good. They treat their animals like people, they are very kind and compassionate.

All this place wants to do is sell you test and pest controls for the animal. My older cat that they saw in this appointment is a rescue and is very scared of everything. I did not feel that the tech tried to make her comfortable like the last vet (back in RI). They did shave off the knots and cut her nails for me but they take the cat out of the room and do this somewhere else. I am amazed at how much money they wanted to charge for one annual appointment.

Terrible. All they want is to gouge you with unnecessary tests. They try to guilt you into all sorts of tests your cat doesn't need. They also try to get you to buy extra vaccines that are not needed either. No ethics. Ran very late in seeing me at my appointments with no apology or explanation.

The visit went well (as it always does). The technician took Willie's vital signs and clipped her nails. The doctor examined Willie. We chatted about how she's been doing on her current medications and what happened at her most recent specialist visit. Then the technician took Willie for the blood work and hygiene clip and then we headed for home.

I went CHAT for a few years before I finally realized that they want to perform every test there is, whether you need it or not. It was always expensive. Even though she was an indoor cat, they wanted to treat her for fleas. Told me it was necessary anyway. (I refused and years later, she has yet to get fleas.) When I really got turned off was when they would examine her, then come back with a computer generated list, sort of a pre-invoice, of services they said she needed. I finally realized that really it was sort of a custom menu, and they wanted me to order everything on it but I didn't have to. The last straw was when they wanted to vaccinate her yet again for feline HIV, and when I asked, "if she has it, is there anything you can do about it?" the veterinarian giggled nervously and admitted "no." The care always seemed good, but they do unnecessary things, and that's not nice to me and it's not nice to my animal, who would prefer not to be poked and prodded.

I would NOT recommend this vet to anyone. Unresponsive, disinterested, disconnected and condescending in an odd way. Reluctant to fully explain their diagnosis. Vet will rarely return calls. (Was once told she was not "in" when I saw her in the waiting room.) I've had negative experiences most of the time (4+ years), I dreaded taking the cat to CHAT, on several occasions used a pet ER service instead, and recently chose a vet nearer my home when the cat became ill again. I first called CHAT to speak with vet, and after a week gave up when the call wasn't returned. What a difference at the new vet! New vet explained the diagnosis and prognosis, called in a timely manner, was cheerful, and desk clerk actually smiled and was friendly.

I would really recommend them to anyone because they have been wonderful. They have been very responsive, pretty quick and provide excellent quality of care to my cat. They are very careful during any kind of procedures to make sure the pain is very less. They return my calls very quickly which is very helpful. I think they are a little expensive, but they are worth it.

I asked for an estimate over the phone and was quoted $300 for a dental cleaning. When I arrived I was presented with a treatment plan that was $448 instead. This was quite a shock. I asked them to take the dental x-ray off because I couldn't put out all that money at that time. The estimate came down to $400 and I told them to go ahead. They called later and said they said the cat had lost too much weight since her last visit(from 11.4 lbs to 10.6 lbs in 3 months, cat is in a healthy body condition, no ribs showing, slight belly paunch)and they wanted to do a full blood test and eye check(she had some eye discharge)and they wanted to put her on special food, coming out to about $200 for this visit. They said they'd like to re-exam in about a month and do the dental cleaning then. This adds up to about $600 they want me to spend instead of the $300 they told me over the phone. It is frustrating that whenever I take my cat there, they always end up inflating the estimate once I arrive. It feels like a bait and switch every time I take my cats there. Not going back anymore, I've had enough.

This practice only sees cats which is nice for the cats. We waited about 15 minutes past our appointment time even though there was no one else in the office. The doctor was very gentle with our cat and seemed genuinely concerned for his well-being. After the exam the doctor offered several possible reasons for the problem (itching) and recommended a skin culture to check for parasites or fungus. They recommended a rather expensive flea treatment even though no fleas were found on our indoor cat. They also charged for a test for worms even though the cat had been recently wormed. All in all, I like the idea of going to a vet that specializes in cats but I think we were loaded up with expenses that just weren't necessary. The cat got better all on his own so we haven't had to return. I would use them again if my cat had an unusual condition but I am hesitant to start using them as my regular vet because they are expensive.

Sometimes it went well. It was always expensive. Several times they wanted to do tests and more tests - all very expensive - and with no curative results. Several times I felt that my pet did not receive good care. When I went in, I was seen by different doctors. I was changed from one to another, and this hurt the continuity of care. I felt that they often recommended unnecessary tests or treatments. They are very expensive. They have all kinds of technical expertise, but, that doesn't seem to yield any better results than vetch with less expensive equipment.

They are very good, very thorough and not cheap. They specialize in cats. They are very caring and concerned for both the animal and the owner. They really take care of the pets like they are their own.

They saw my cat quickly and did a complete work up including an echocardiogram. The doctors were efficient and communicated well with me. My kitty is doing well at this time.

I have been going to this practice for years. I love how they treat my cats. This is a cat only practice as well. The people are very friendly that work there. I have always been able to get an appointment in a timely manner. The vets are all very straightforward with you as well.

The best thing about the Cat Hospital at Towson is that they specialize only in cats. There are no barking dogs around to upset the cats, who are nervous enough anyway. The veterinarians there are very good and I'm happy with their service. I think their prices are too high, though.

He was scared and the staff permitted us to wait in a vacant exam room so the other animals would not spook him. Although the vet could have recommended a million tests, she recommended some fairly simple remedies which worked first. Also, I was not lectured on being a bad pet owner for my lack of vaccinations, nor for my feeding him 9-lives as opposed to Science Diet. I went into the appointment braced for someone to make a sales pitch for vaccinations, pet food, and procedures, but they were honest and kind throughout the visit.
