The project well well for the most part. We had a smooth planning stage, all the details were agreed upon pretty fast and it was evident they caught my ideas pretty well. We had several adjustments along the way that were handled smoothly as well. From the quote to the actual work things went well. Few hick ups along the road came up due to scheduling, the winter weather and rains put the breaks on the project few times. There were few weekend the guys worked to catch up. However, the communication portion of the business is somewhat lacking. this is what I would call customer service part of the process. few times when I through the weather was nice the guys didn't come over due to other commitments (just let me know, things come up), and I had to email several times about the same questions to get a response... it might not be an issue for someone out there not a Type A... the project looked great at the end and we got everything as planned. The guys also helped working with the county on the paperwork and permits, which is important since I wouldn't have a clue.
Last item that left me with less than enthusiastic lasting impression was all the trash that was left on site. The guys ate a lot of candy and smoked a ton of sigs over the time of the project and it was all left to me, along with debris, nails and screws and a pile of PVC shavings where they had their saw staged.  it took a long time to vacuum off the ground with a shop vac and to pick up all the trash. having to obtain a watershed conservation permit they should have knows to be careful with all that stuff going into the ground... and I really didn't want the plastic shavings leaching into my well water years later... so clean the dirt I did. I emailed my dissatisfaction only be told that "usually we do a final walkthrough". Guess I wasn't a "usual" customer. 
all that aside, the deck and porch look great.

Absolutely wonderful experience! When we asked for the initial quote, we were shopping several offers. Jerry was extremely friendly, punctual and gave us some great tips on what to look for in our future offers. We made the decision to sign off on a contract with them shortly after that meeting.
The work is phenomenal and the construction team (Denny and Pepi) did a wonderful job. Denny made sure to call me with updates on where they were in the process and whenever something came up he called to let me know. Jerry checked in with me throughout the construction and followed up with me to include visiting the site for a final inspection.
We would like to add a back deck on our home and will certainly call cardinal again!

Construction Christian was Phenomenal!!! He came out on time and measured for the new deck, concrete needed for yard and new wooden privacy fence! Cardinal Construction and they're crew were down to earth, Great guys. My Overall Experience was Excellent. It was clear that Christian took great Pride in his work, he was very detailed with every step of the job. We host many cookouts now and get nothing but compliments thanks to all the hard work, Cardinal Construction put in! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
