My wife hired this company while I was away on business because one of our dogs was almost crushed by the old models. After returning home and using for 2 days one door malfunctioned. When calling this company they stated their policy of charging $120 per visit to return and fix the issue. With a call to upper management I was able to get them to waive this charge. Now 7 years later a had the other door fail and in inspecting their work found the drive rail had been installed with no blocking and was screwed directly into the drywall only. I call to inform them of the shoddy installation which they denied doing and they cited the same policy of $120 for a visit plus materials to fix the problem. I took pictures of the bracket installed in the drywall and the hole it caused. There was a clear outline of an old metal bracket attached to the studs from the original door that they didn’t use and discarded. I was able to fix both door by adding the necessary blocking but will never use this company again. Even though the event were years apart, 2 strikes are enough!

We had an entire new garage door opener installed along with a keypad for outside. We chose one of the higher end models for the battery backup. John was great again. He fixed our issue right away, but we ended up replacing the opener anyway. He didn't force us into the purchase, in fact he recommended waiting until the current opener died. My wife and I opted to replace it since we have had trouble in the past, just so we don't have to worry about it anymore. Work was completed quickly and John cleaned up the area as if he had never been there. We would recommend Bob's and would use them again in the future if needed.

We had what turned out to be a simple repair. Some routine maintenance also ended being performed to make better use of the garage door. We had thought we would end up needing a whole replacement of the motor, etc. but were told that wasn't necessary. Our technician was punctual and very professional. He did not try up selling new parts or convincing us to upgrade our our entire unit. He simply fixed the issue and said when the time does come to call us to replace the motor etc (he even provided a cost estimate). This turned out to be a small job, yet they treated as if it was their only job. Many places would have just upsold a new product on the spot, instead of keeping the customers money in mind. We would recommend Bob's for any garage door needs.

Danny (sales) came out and showed me three different ranges of doors (custom, high priced to he very basic). He was very professional in giving his input, and let me choose the style I wanted. He even took a small piece of the new siding back to the office to make sure the company's color would be a good match -- and emailed me the color shots and we discussed the best color option. Clopay's color worked perfectly with the CertainTeed siding - and with the ivory trim separating the siding from the door you can hardly notice it is a slightly lighter shade. I love the new door style, the color, the overall look -- who would have thought someone would be happy over a garage door? Well, when you're paying out hard-earned money, the answer is ME!! Installation was just completed Oct 5th. The garage door company was very understanding when I had to call and postpone the installation due t the delay of my general contractor completing his work. Bob's Overhead Door was excellent in working with me on this aspect. During installation, they opened up the 3rd box (4 panels, 4 boxes), only to find the inside panel was damaged. This was a manufacturer problem, and Chris (installer) told me they had to order a new panel. I have to admit, I think there was a hiccup on the office staff follow-up from the installer's paperwork (I saw where Chris noted the problem and what was needed on the receipt I signed the day of installation). I think the office staff forgot to follow up and this was the only problem I encountered. After waiting 2-3 weeks and not hearing from them, I contacted the company via email. I received a reply from Erin (president) that evening and I received a phone call the very next business day telling me the day they would be out to install the new panel. They replaced the panel this week, on the day they promised -- and they even arrived early! Chris then showed me what needs to be lubed (every 6 months or yearly) and gave me a can of 'door lube spray' to do this minor maintenance. Both visits by Chris were exceptional -- he was polite, cleaned up any leftover mess, and went over the operation using the new eternal remote and assured me to call if I had any problems or questions. He even advised me to call them within one year to have them come out to do any free maintenance! He has put in an order for touch up paint for me, so will see how that request plays out. I'm sure that after this installation, that I will not have any problem with getting that can of touch up paint! Overall, I give this company an A for service. I did ding them for the office staff not getting back to me about the replacement for the damaged panel (IMHO, a customer should never have to call the company or a manufacturer's defective part- the company that delivers said part should be in touch with the customer) But their subsequent handling of my inquiry and completion of the job left me with an excellent impression of the service this company provides. I would highly recommend Bob's Overhead Door to anyone in the Baltimore Maryland area!

Really well. Chris is a great mechanic and kept me informed about the process the whole time. He was efficient, courteous and friendly...what more could you ask for?

It was great. Danny Bauer our salesman was awesome. No high pressure sales. He said it was important decision and to take our time. Really appreciated that. Most salesman would try to rush you since it is just a garage door but it is important to us to get the correct style and model within our budget. Chris was our installer and was on time, professional and very nice to talk to. He did an excellent job. He also replaced the bottom seal on our shed garage door too for $20. I would highly recommend Danny and Chris to anyone looking for a new garage door.

That was good. They came out earlier and attempted to fix it and they did fix it but then it broke. There was something more fundamentally wrong with it so they replaced the whole apparatus. The door they kept but the motor and everything, they replaced and they deducted the previous service call so I thought that was fair. It wasn't cheap but the fact is that they rebated me. The door lasted 10 years and hen it broke. I think the main thing was that they were honest and fair. They kept me posted on what was happening.

Could not have gone better! Kasey was friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible with scheduling the service. There was no charge for the initial consultation and the entire service came in at a very reasonable price, less than I had anticipated. My old garage door was broken and dangerously collapsing, plus there was a disabled car in garage. Kasey was able to take the old one out and put a new one in without any trouble in 90 minutes.

The installer tackled the job like an experienced professional. The broken parts looked like the door was dead...really. He was congenial, and so proficient with the job. We admire "John"for his knowledge and ability. It was a great experience! Hubby called late on a Thursday afternoon and John arrived promptly as promised on Friday. Wow. Totally, WOW. A GREAT EXPERIENCE with this company.

Deb, the Office Manager responded to my email request the next day and scheduled an appointment that was convenient for me. John, the Mechanic arrived on time. He was very attentive while I explained the problems with the two garage doors. One of the two doors was screeching and unbalanced to the point where it would come off its tracks. The other door (less seldom used) needed routine maintenance. John knew right away what to do. He replaced four pulleys, adjusted the wiring to balance the one door and tested it several times to make sure that it was opening and closing properly. Then he oiled and greased all the moving parts on both doors. He was very quick and efficient in getting the job done right ... the first time.

On time, fast did a great job. Doors working like new.

Fantastic job. They called well ahead to say he would be a few minutes late, and that's what he was...maybe 5 min. late. How many contractors are that respectful of your time? He fixed up a pair of long defunct, derailed doors, circa 1945 to work beautifully for a very reasonable price. I'm proud to support hard working family owned businesses like Bob's Overhead Door.
