I can't think of anything to complain about. Top-flight work. Killian's was recommended by a neighbor. Bids ranged from $17,000 to $23,000, and they were the lowest bid.

Killian roofing is a classic example of good, honest, hardworking Craftsman performing a job they know exceptionally well! I first used them in 2002 to roof my first house. They are my go to persons ever since. I've had them reroof both commercial and residential properties of mine. Can't say enough good things about the quality and the fairness of both Jay and his son, Bill. They have always given me and all my friends who have used them honest and complete evaluations of the conditions of their roof. Their pricing has always been exceptionally fair. They show up when they say they're going to show up, they do the work they say they're going to do, what more could you ask for?

These guys are class acts. While performing a home inspection, the inspector found problems on the roof and recommended an expert roof inspection. Jay and his son Bill were the only ones that were willing to come out next day - and due to contingencies on my sales contact, time was of the essence. Jay properly diagnosed that the shingles had life in them, but that the sheathing under the roof needed to be replaced. They couldn't give me a formal estimate because they weren't able to access part of the roof (which was under the garage and could not be accessed at the time). They gave a ballpark figure for an estimate on a worst case scenario. After I purchased the home, Jay and Bill stopped by again after I requested a quote. The quote was again exactly in line with what they had previously provided, after they had a chance to evaluate the roof over the garage. That price was still a few thousand lower than the three other competitor quotes I had received for comparable products, comparable warranties, and comparable timeframes for a roof replacement (although Kilian's roofing was slightly better than the three other quotes while priced lower). I even added additional work onto the job (installation of metal soffit vents and baffles and facia wrapping). Kilian again came in at the lowest price with the best products, warranties and installation time-frames. Although I wanted to use them for that work - they recommended that I hold off on that job until I had a chance to re-do my exterior (which I had informed them I was probably going to do over the next year or so) so that the entire exterior would match. They even recommended that I price out the job with whoever does my exterior, and that if I didn't like that price, Kilian would come back after the exterior was done so that everything would be a good match and fit. It all seemed to be to good to be true and I was worried that the work would be shoddy or that there would be delays in the schedule. Not the case with these guys. The crew (Bill personally showed up to perform the work with his crew) showed up on time, finished the job early, and came in right under budget (they offered a price reduction due to reduced material costs, but my wife and I insisted that we pay the full price for the outstanding job that they did). I know the job was done well because both the general contractor who we used to do our interior commented on the great job that they did, and my neighbor (who is in the housing business) also commented on the good job performed by these guys.
Kilian Roofing's team is exactly what everyone looks for in contractors - these guys are honest, timely, professional, and experts in what they do (I discovered they hold a patent on a roof vent fan when I was researching them). They set the gold standard for roofers. It's also great that they are a small family run business, providing that personal touch that so many of the companies nowadays just don't have.

The company was highly recommended by my neighbors after they installed their roof a few years ago. The son, Bill, came out to inspect the roof and give me an estimate. He was very professional and thorough, providing input and solutions regarding some structural concerns from the original construction, that I had become aware of, but the other contractors had not addressed during their inspections or their estimates. Bill informed me that I had a few more years left before I needed to replace the roof, but I decided to move forward. as I am planning to put my home on the market in the near future. He offered some less expensive options that would not affect the integrity of the work,. The price was very competitive, and yet when he brought the final contract, it was a little lower than the verbal quote. The project was completed ahead of schedule, professionally done, with no disruption to me, and and my property completely cleaned up when they were done
I am very pleased with the entire experience, and would recommend them to anyone, without any hesitations or exception.

Recommended by friend (did their roof) and looked up AL only 2 review but both positive. Came out when promised and said job would take two days. Job finished in those two days, cleaned everything up and roof looks great. Have had 5 inches of rain since job and no problems. Highly recommend.

Job lasted 3 days, mostly done by Jay, his son and one other worker. They took care to get the job done correctly the first time and applied flashing where the house siding met the roof on the upper level. The new skylight was installed for the cost of the material only! No charge for the installation since they would have had to redo the flashing for the old skylight anyway - a very pleasnt surprise. Everything was comnpleted as promised and over 2 months later we have not had any problems. VERY PLEASED.

They finished in the time they said and they cleaned up the mess. It was actually $200 less than they said which never happens. They use hand nailing which is not that common. It did mean the job took a little longer, but it is better quality workmanship than using nail guns. However, they didn't charge me extra for the amount of time it took to do the roof.

I never met him because he came while I was at work. It was a quick and inexpensive job. He did an okay job but I’m not so sure that it was necessary; I think the problem was more that there was clogging in the gutter. I don’t know if what he did was worth the money.

From beginning to end, this company performed in an outstanding manner. They came as scheduled for the inspection and preparation of the estimate. The estimate was very thorough and included all tasks that were to be performed including any additional costs incurred as a result of defective wood. They maintained contact and always returned my calls in a timely fashion. They came when they said they would and finished the job on schedule. They always presented a very professional attitude and explained, in detail, all aspects of the work they were performing. I am completely satisfied with the exceptional service I received from this company. It is a family owned enterprise and all work was performed by their own employees(no sub-contractors). I would hire them again in a flash for any new work and would recommend them highly.

They were prompt, very efficient and cleaned up after themselves very well.

A refreshing experience in dealing with a conscientious, courteous, professional and well qualified contractor. Responded with estimate less than 24-hours after initial call and provided estimate on weekend. Performed work one day after acceptance of estimate. Fully to spec with upgrade on attic vents included. Brought in on time and on budget.

The men arrived when they were expected. They were polite. They did their work in a professional manner. They cleaned up after themselves. The cost was very reasonable.

Bill Kilian gave me an estimate of $5,600-$6,000. After securing two more quotes, I decided to give him the job (based on a recommendation of a co-worker). Bill brought samples of shingles, he thought would go well with my home. I decided to go with a 30-yr AR shingle @ $5,800 (lowest quote). He requested a 30% deposit, but company policy DOES NOT ACCEPT credit cards, which was how I intended on paying. Bill informed me that it was OK, that he would work something out. Bill scheduled my installation for 2 to 3 weeks, depending upon the weather. Jay Kilian (30-yr roofer) called about 2 weeks later, advising me they were ready to install. Within 2 days, work was complete, all hand nailed and minor repairs to my siding. Both Mr. Kilian's were knowledgeable and very responsive to my concerns. Great job!
